  September Wedding

  My husband and I got married at Dockside last weekend (September 2022) with blue skies but 30mph winds. We still wanted to have the ceremony outside, and the staff was great at making sure all the decor was set up and not blowing around. Heather (the venue coordinator) was great at answering so many of my questions leading up to the event and set up the tables, desserts, decor, etc. exactly as I had imagined. She was also flexible with timing as the night went on, and was super attentive to our guests with limited mobility. The bartenders were awesome, and out photographer and DJ had worked with Heather many times before so it went seamlessly. The view was unbeatable, and I'm so happy we chose Dockside.

  Wonderful Maine Wedding

  Dockside was the perfect venue for our wedding. Heather and her team were incredibly helpful, and our guests enjoyed their food and experiencing Maine. The views of the harbor are unparalleled and all staff members were kind and considerate. We’re very thankful we chose Dockside for our wedding.

  Wonderful!!

  We absolutely loved our wedding and experience with Dockside. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was AMAZING. Heather coordinated everything for our event and really made it seamless. We had a few hiccups and she kept me calm and rolled with it all. We stayed in a room onsite as well which was so clean and breakfast was great! We had the BEST time. Honestly what a great venue! 10/10

  Beautiful wedding venue

  We had a small wedding of 35 people and we were struggling to find a venue with a water view that would accommodate our small group. I reached out to Heather at Dockside and she said it wouldn't be a problem. We had our wedding on a Thursday and used their private room in the restaurant for our reception. We stayed at the guest quarters and had our wedding on the lawn, before moving over for the cocktail hour and reception. Everything went very smoothly and I had no worries. Heather was helpful and always there to answer questions and ease my mind. The guests were all happy with their dinners and said the venue was beautiful.

  Perfect place to stay!

  Dockside Guest Quarters has a beautifully maintained property and great views! We got married at Dockside Restaurant and rented out all of the rooms in the Maine House, along with many others for family. Having the house and property right at the venue was priceless. The staff was very gracious to let many of us hang out there after and have lawn games spread out. The Maine House is well maintained and has so much character. Thank you again!

  Amazing Venue!

  We had our wedding at Dockside and it was PERFECT for us! Heather is a gem, and was there helping us every step of the way. They were so flexible, and quick to respond. We were able to bring in our own cake, and set up the reception and ceremony space that morning. The food was outstanding, and the price was great. We really enjoyed how easy going they were, and how clear the pricing was. We added on an outdoor bar, and that went over really well! Our wedding was exactly as we imagined it because of how Dockside handled things - I 100% recommend hosting your wedding at Dockside, you won't regret it.

  Everything we imagined!

  We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day! Dockside captured everything we were hoping for in a wedding venue; flexible, relaxed, and beautiful. Phil was incredibly personable, professional, and great to work with. What was most important to us was the ability to completely design our menu from top to bottom. (Dockside even accommodated a request to buck Maine tradition and serve a butter-drawn lobster roll.) The food was absolutely delicious, and the servers and bartenders were prompt, friendly, and professional as well. Dockside was also gracious enough to accommodate us a bit earlier in the season due to some time sensitive constraints. My partner and I also live far out of state, and Phil made planning with us a breeze. We look forward to visiting Dockside for many years to come.

  Outstanding Maine Vibe Venue

  Forget the stuffy ballroom and come here for the Maine vibe you are looking for. Excellent food, drink and staff to meet all your needs. The owner Phil is very professional and well organized. The day was carefree and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They are very flexible for menu choices and can do mostly everything you ask. Beautiful grounds overlooking the water for ceremony and water views from inside. The owner is very responsive to calls and emails from start to finish. The property is such you can really make it your own for your special day.

  When we started looking for venues we knew we might have some issues - as we wanted something different from the normal ceremony/reception. We wanted to be on the ocean/by the water, be outside the entire time, no tent, have an entirely passed meal, no sit down/buffet meal & lots of lawn games. When we met with Heather from the Dockside she was completely open to the idea and worked with us to make a perfect passed meal menu & create the day we wanted. They even let us have our dogs there with us (which was one of our sticking points) - as long as they were outside with us the whole time. Weeks later everyone is still raving about the food and how great the staff was. They truly helped to make our day exactly what we wanted & something we will always remember. I would definitely recommend the Dockside for any type of wedding - they were great and easy to work!

  Top notch venue for our wedding! Everyone and everything was perfect. Phil is easily accessible for planning purposes and flexible when it came to doing what we wanted to make it “our day” and not just another wedding.

  Our wedding day, the venue, the food, the guest quarters and of course the weather could not have been more perfect!   If you want the most beautiful wedding venue, this is your place! My daughter was married here this past weekend and it was the most perfect experience. Overlooking both York Harbor and the Atlantic, it is a family run by the Lusty family. The service was A++, the rooms are beautiful and the restaurant is the most unique setting for the reception. The food is out of this world! We ate at the restaurant once to sample the fare, and returned several times after, prior to the wedding, because it is just that good. Phil and his team are great and you will not be disappointed. I don't usually write reviews, but our experience was so outstanding, I had to share. Our guests continue to rave about our fabulous get away wedding weekend at the Dockside!

  Heather was absolutely amazing. She handled every aspect of our small (21 guest) wedding with perfection. The guests are STILL raving about the food, and the service was spot on. We requested appetizers all night instead of sit down meals, and not only was Heather accommodating, but she made game-changing suggestions that we couldn't have thought of ourselves. She worked with us over a period of ten months to fine-tune the details and answer any questions we had. We truly enjoyed our wedding day and had time to take in the moments of the day because we knew Heather had everything under control, from the wedding to the cocktail hour to the seamless transition into the reception. Including a gluten free meal for one of the guests!
  
  Going to the Dockside was hands down the best decision we ever could have made in selecting our wedding and reception venue. Not to mention the gorgeous wedding photos we got from three different locations steps away from each other on the property that made it look like we traveled to three sites! And the water/boat views from the restaurant kept the guests entertained all day and night. Thank you to Heather and her entire team of professionals for giving us, our friends and families an event to remember fondly.

  We are excited to celebrate our one year anniversary with dinner at the Dockside. It was such a beautiful location and truly a magical day. The extras sometimes needed in weddings weren’t necessary as the natural beauty of the location was all anyone could ask for. I will forever smile to think of the day and hope to return as a tradition on anniversaries to celebrate.

  I cannot recommend Dockside highly enough! My husband and I booked a fall off-season wedding and the usually gorgeous venue was even more spectacular with the fall foliage! It was a dream come true, and Phil and his team were superb, very responsive and professional and ensured that we had a day that we would cherish for a lifetime!

  Once we walked into the Dockside, we knew we would get married here. The venue is beautiful with amazing views and some of the best food in town. On the day of our wedding it was amazing that we had the place to ourselves and our guests could use the lawn, take in the view, and really capture the Maine Coast. Patty and Phil were great to work with and helpful throughout the planning process.

  Once we walked into the Dockside, we knew we would get married here. The venue is beautiful with amazing views and some of the best food in town. On the day of our wedding it was amazing that we had the place to ourselves and our guests could use the lawn, take in the view, and really capture the Maine Coast. Patty and Phil were great to work with and helpful throughout the planning process.

  The Dockside Inn and Restaurant is literally a dream venue! Our September wedding was absolutely stunning, one out of a fairy tale! Everything about the Dockside is beautiful - the views, the inn, the restaurant! Even if you take a quick walk down the road there is the cute bridge that makes for stunning photos too! Phil, the owner, is fantastic to work with.

  Absolutely wonderful experience with the Dockside! Phil was very easy to work with, and was completely open to any menu changes, alcohol service, etc. The day of went so smoothly, and we felt confident that the staff would take care of everything (and they did!). The location and views can't be beaten, with lobster boats passing by in the background, and the ease of transitioning from the ceremony, to the hors d'oeuvres a few steps away, to the reception just inside. Preceding the meal, we had hors d'oeuvres which were outstanding. As the bride and groom, we made sure to take a break from photos to eat a plate, and I'm glad we did. As for the food, it was hands down the best tasting and creative food I've ever had at a wedding, and just as good as when we have had similar dishes at the restaurant. We chose the seafood trio and prime rib, which resulted in generous portion sizes and everyone I talked to had a perfectly cooked meal. In-between the ceremony and reception, we were able to take photos overlooking the harbor, in their gazebo, on the docks, and of course the adirondack chairs. Overall, the Dockside team was extremely easy to work with, friendly, and the venue and food were everything I dreamed of for my oceanside wedding.

  Definitely consider Dockside! It is absolutely beautiful and all of the staff members are very accommodating. I LOVED having my wedding here and had absolutely no problems with the service or the venue.

  We planned a double wedding for my daughters and found the Dockside to be a perfect venue for the ceremony and reception. The staff, service, food, and location we amazing. We have lasting memories of a perfect wedding experience!

  On June 12th we had our wedding at The Dockside. We only had 57 people so they allowed us to rent out their deck room instead of having to rent out the main restaurant. The ceremony itself was outside and so was the cocktail hour. Patty helped us throughout the entire process and she was great. She always responded to emails within a day and answered right away whenever I called. We are from out of town so Patty provided us with a list of vendors (all of which were great) and made some suggestions on the ones that she had seen do a good job in the past. We were looking at spending 20k for the same amount of people at a different venue in NY (price included food, alcohol, photographer, band etc.) and we just couldn't afford it. We decided to go with a destination wedding at the dockside instead and ended up paying them about $6,100 for food and alcohol plus about 6k worth of additional expenses for the photographer, cake, music etc. In the end it was well worth it. Everything went off without any problems and the value cannot be beaten. The appetizers served during cocktail hour were amazing and so was the dinner itself ( seafood/prime rib). If anyone is looking for suggestions on vendors we used the following:
  
  Cake: Beach Pea
  Justice: Julie Draper (she did an awesome job and coordinated a lot of the things leading up to the ceremony and immediately following)
  Photographer: Jillian C from Lumina Boston
  Guitarist (played on the lawn during cocktail hour and was awesome) : Brian Johnson
  Flowers: York Flower Shop
  We also used York Trolley Co to shuttle our guests to the Dockside from the Anchorage on York beach and back again at the end of the night
  
  All in all it was a perfect wedding, very affordable, great service, beautiful views and great food. We stayed in the Maine House the night before and after the wedding. I would recommend the room on the first floor that opens on to the porch. It was perfect for my wife to get ready in.
