The star rating things says it all. Tim is just a great all around DJ. Called me back, answered my e-mails, threw us a great dancy wedding. It doesn't get any better. Highly recommended.

Our DJ was Mark McAllister. Great value for cost, but there are certainly much better DJs out there! He played a lot of "groaners" (Baby Got Back, etc.) even though I specified modern jazz (Jamie Cullum, Michael Bublé specifically... didn't hear a single track from those guys) and throwbacks (Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc... didn't hear those either). He also didn't initiate any playful DJ stuff that I'm used to seeing at parties.

I would recommend, to anyone who books with them or another 'budget' DJ, to give a very specific list of tracks that you want to hear, and any other things that you want from them... you can't assume that they'll intuit what you're looking for.

On the upside, it was very inexpensive, he did get the very specific requests right, and he was very flexible and responsive.

Tim is the head of DJ's to Go, and he helped me pick out a good DJ over the phone. He picked Matt for me and our wedding and it was a perfect fit. Matt asked me about music the day before the wedding and did a great job. He took requests and had a good selection of music. He also asked me before playing my cousin's music of SlipKnot; which I thought was really considerate. Overall, they offer many types of DJ's and Matt did a wonderful job at our outdoor unique wedding, but Tim will also be able to help you pick out a good DJ fit for you.

I looked into booking a DJ from DJs to go and was disappointed in their prices. Once I politely told them I had gone another direction, they did not stop emailing me. I do not think they intentionally bombarded me, but simply did not have a system for emailing prospective clients that worked properly. I had to email them three times telling them that I had already booked another DJ before the mass emails stopped. I was disappointed with them from the start because their prices seemed to be inflated and I ended up finding a DJ for hundreds of dollars less than they quoted.

I loved our DJ Tim Benter! I recommend him to anyone who is planning a wedding and need a DJ. He received a lot of compliments from all our guests from age 10-70. One of the great thing about him is he walks you through the process, he doesn't rush you, he is very responsive via phone. And the best thing of all is on your big day he makes sure he pays attention to your guests to thier likes and dislikes by watching who is dancing, how long etc and works the music to suit the situation so no one is ever bored. Great! Would recommend him highly...
