Derek Romanoff is by far one of the best DJs in the DC area. He was very flexible, professional, friendly, and respected all our requests. More importantly, he played great music that all our guests enjoyed. We were having so much fun, that we danced with our guests for longer than we had planned. He did not play any music on our "do not play" list. If we ever need a DJ again, there is no question about where we will go.

We hired Derek Romanoff as our DJ and couldn't have been more pleased with his services. This guy is an absolute professional in every sense of the word. He was able to understand exactly the type of music we wanted played, he took our requests and worked them in flawlessly, he had everyone up and dancing all night long and was a very classy and professional MC for our event. With everything else going on that day the best compliment I can give Derek is that we didn't have to think twice about anything he did b/c it was seamless and perfect.

We were extremely happy with Derek. We booked him because we had read alot of great reviews and when we called to speak to him, he was exactly what we were looking for. He was extremely professional and flexible with our needs. If we didn't quite know how something worked, he would make excellent suggestions. He played music for both our ceremony and reception. We didn't have to worry about anything on our big day because Derek kept things moving on their timeline perfectly. His song selection was amazing at the reception and had the right mix of everything. He really read the crowd perfectly. My guests still have not stopped raving about the music and constantly say it was the best music of any wedding they had been to. They all wanted a wedding soundtrack!
And if the service wasn't amazing enough, it only cost us around $1000 for four hours. I would have easily paid twice as much for Derek and would highly recommend him for any event, big or small. He really is absolutely amazing!

I just got married on April 25th and I could not have had a more positive experience with Derek. He was professional, prompt, and knew how to get the crowd dancing. He checked in at various times during the reception to make sure of timing on how we wanted things to flow and he made sure he had the pronunciation of everyone's names correct before we were introduced. He had a smile on his face the entire time and could not have been nicer. We got a lot of compliments on him and we were thrilled with the job that he did. He was worth every penny!!!!

Derek was very accommodating with all of our requests, formulating a working playlist based on our favorite songs for both the cocktail hour and reception. He was able to come up with several suggestions for some of our more important dances, and led a great party! We highly recommend him for anyone looking for a DJ!

Derek was an outstanding DJ. Everyone was raving about how great the music was and how everyone danced the entire night. 2 months later we are still getting compliments on the reception. He was very flexible, took requests from people during the dancing. He didn't play any of the songs we had on our "do not play list" and was very accomodating. During the reception he was able to read the crowd very well, and switch b/n different kinds of music very well. We highly recommend Derek!

Derek is truly an amazing DJ!!! He came highly recommended by a friend of ours. Our wedding would not have been the same without him. Derek is easy going and totally flexible. He is professional and wants the best for your wedding. We loved how Derek gave us ideas for the reception schedule. He facilitated himself around the reception letting our vendors know of what was going on and what was going to happen. Derek was great about announcing when different events were taking place. He is an excellent speaker. Our guests danced all night long! It was perfect. Derek is the perfect fit for any wedding!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. My husband and I gave Derek many last minute requests. He didn't blink an eye and did everything exactly as we asked. I would highly recommend him to anyone. In fact, we've already recommended him to some of our closest friends.

Derek was great! I especially appreciated that he took the time to find us before announcing us into the reception to make sure that he had everyone's name pronounciation down. That really impressed me. He played great songs and was very accomodating with our specific requests. He was a true professional and I'd be glad to work with him again in the future!

Derek was fantastic to work with. He was quick to respond to emails, and wrote detailed messages back. He would anticipate any follow up questions I may have had and would answer them before I could ask. He was very flexible with any request that I had. He helped set my mind at ease, and I knew that the reception would go off without a hitch. I am still getting compliments about what a great DJ we had. He kept the party going all night; everyone was on the dance floor, even my 80 year old grandmother!

Derek did an excellent job of providing the music for the ceremony and the dj work for the reception. He met with us before the wedding to go over different choices and arrangements of music and with his knowledge of the many songs available was able to help us choose songs for both the ceremony and reception. His input was invaluable to us in making our choices. Derek was always responsive in returning phone calls and answering the many questions we had when planning this aspect of the wedding. At the last minute weather forced us to move the wedding ceremony inside and Derek was able to make this change easily. He was at the venue early and had everything set up and running smoothly when the bride arrived. He was a true professional in his service and was also available to help out in all aspects of keeping the wedding running smoothly. Many guests called the next day to say what a great time they had at the wedding and Derek gets a lot of the credit for that.
