I loved working with DJ Connections! They are very energetic and excited about weddings. I was hesitant because you don't know the DJ you are going to get until the week before your wedding, but they assure you that all of their wedding DJ's have to get perfect reviews about 20 times before they can even do weddings. I had been to a few weddings that had used them before and I liked the DJ's at all of them, so I thought I'd give them a try and I wasn't disappointed! Our DJ was great. He played the styles that we had asked for and stuck to our plan very well. If he needed to ask us a question he was very subtle and didn't take up a lot of our time. We were very pleased with our DJ services!

Very interactive and lively just the way we wanted it. DJ Connection made sure to do exactly what you wanted. He included all of the songs we requested and made the reception flow great.

DJ Connection was PERFECT at our wedding!

I will admit their extremely long, over the top emails (a pain in the butt to read through) and extremely silly/goofy demeanor on the phone system had me worried (my fiance had picked them).Yes, we wanted a fun and energetic dj, but could they be professional as well?

The answer was yes! We got Matt and LOVED him! He picked up the style of our wedding and guests extremely quickly and played exactly what we needed! We didn't have our reception planned to the T, and he had to do some improvising here and there and he could't have done it better.

Oh, the only other negative than the painful emails are the phone appointments (both of which have nothing to do with our awesome DJ Matt). DON'T step away from your phone if you have made a phone appointment! They will not call back and move on to the next client within 5 min. They might even call 5 min early and if you miss that one, the above info applies.

We were VERY disappointed in DJ Connection. While they're team is extremely polite, they do not allow you to ever meet your dj in person. They are professional in the fact that they get all of your information and ask good questions and are prompt in sending invoices. However, at the beginning of our very first (phone) meeting I was specific in wanting to speak with the dj who would actually be at our wedding to get a feel for him and he for us. I was assured that the coordinators would take care of everything. That's fine but speaking to the dj who will be performing at our wedding is what will put a bride (and groom) at ease. It came down to the week of the event and no call from OUR dj. Coordinators calling to confirm said they didn't know who it was or they didn't have his information to give me. Really? You don't know the number for the dj you're assigning to my wedding? After 2 days of being told the dj would call and still not hearing from him I called back only to be told they gave him the message. I finally left a message telling them that if i did not get to speak with our dj not to bother showing up. I finally got a call around 6pm 2 nights before the wedding. He seemed very knowledgeable about the music we were wanting (not typical wedding music) and I felt much better. We even discussed other songs for him to play and that anything they couldn't get we'd burn to a disc. We also talked about having audio for my dad to "give me away" via Skype on my laptop. Well, lo and behold the wedding day, two dj's showed up that really had no clue what was going on. We were told our original dj had suddenly gotten very sick. Um. Ok.
Because the morning had been so hectic we left our disc at home. They played classical music that I was very specific about NOT having played at our wedding or reception. I actually had guests leaving the wedding before I'd even had a chance to eat something because the music was so horrible. I had to go and seek out the dj who was eating on the 2nd floor! The music was choppy most of the time with no real blending or fading in and out of songs. With the groom being a dj himself (not as a profession) it was very painful to listen to.
What is so difficult about letting a bride to be speak with the dj working her wedding? Why cause all of the stress and headache? Leave the planning to the wedding planners and handle the music.
I will say they were nicely dressed and very polite but that's not what I paid for. Also, having been told the venue had been used before, I expected much more for the lighting. That was definitely a waste of money.

They were great. He made sure people could hear us at our outdoor wedding. He kept people informed on what was going to happen next. They kept to what we wanted played & did a lot of mixure of slow & fast so every one would have a good time. He would also be a runner to get things.

DJ Steven worked our reception and he was awesome! He had a great personality and kept the party going. We did not want any cheesy DJ stuff or interruptions during songs and he did a great job of keeping it classy and fun. The only complaint I have, and it's very minor, was that he didn't play one of the songs I had designated for one of the "events" that happen during a reception nor did some of the specifically requested songs get played. However, none of this really bothered me because he did such an amazing job otherwise! He even got out on the dance floor and showed people how to do all of the common dances like the electric slide, etc. He was great and I highly recommend this company as they were very professional and a great value.

DJ Eric Cooper was amazing! He was so attentive. He some how had time to MC, play great tunes and make sure I always had a drink in my hand. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

DJ connection was an average experience. We were very happy with the pricing put together for us. But disappointed in the fact that only about 50% of the songs we asked to be played were actually played. At one point, he had played 3 Lady Gaga songs in a row. You don't exactly want to dance with your girlfriends in your wedding dress to 'Bad Romance" I also did not appreciate wrapping up the song list, schedule, etc over the phone the Monday before my wedding. No bride wants to take care of those details the week of - there are too many other things to do! Overall, it was an average dj service.
