Awesome cake!! (and I don't normally like cake!)
It's expensive - but worth it - I just wish I'd spent more & gotten more cake - some guests didn't get any.

My husband's mother had always purchased all special occasion cakes from ritas, so I feel in love with this vendor long before my wedding. The cakes they make are delicious, bottom line.

I got "Rita's Delight" cakes for my wedding. I have received so many compliments about the cake. It was delicious!
Yellow cake topped with custard and crushed pineapple then iced with whipped cream and covered with coconut. We picked the cakes up from the Havre de Grace location. Because our cakes were iced with whipped cream we had limited decoration options which was fine, because we wanted the cake decorated as it normally is (which looks gorgeous). We covered the cake with fresh flowers. We gave them very little notice (one week) and were VERY pleased :-)

Rita's has a bunch of options and is very willing to work with their customers.

They also have three locations; Havre de Grace, Bishopsville, and Ocean City.

Cake was delicious..however the icing was supposed to be white and pink and it ended up being tan and pink..but all around it was wonderful!

I couldnt possible say how wonderful this company was. Its affordable and easy to use. I only et them twice and got everything exactly they way I wanted it. The cake tasted great and the decor was beautiful.

Cindy and her team at Rita's exeeded all of our expectations. We chose to have three different cakes all in different flavors. Each one was prepared with care and an exceptional attention to detail. And above all, there wasn't one piece of cake left over! ...not because there wasn't enough, but rather because our guests were going back for two and three pieces!! I have never attended a wedding where the guests were raving about the cake. We even received comments about in weeks after our big day. It was so good that we will use Desserts by Rita for all of our events in the future whether it is a birthday or another special celebration. Simply the best cake we have ever had!!

the cake was great. very beautiful. we gave her a bunch of loose left over flowers and she incorporated them beautifully! the cake tasted great and was fresh. The entire cake got eaten, no leftovers. They were easy to work with and the cake was on time to the wedding.

YUMM-O! I received so many compliments about my wedding cake. We had a three tier simple chocolate, vanilla, & lemon cake with vanilla butter cream icing. When we went for our tasting, I was shown several sample pictures and chose a design that fit exactly what I was looking for. Also, I requested flowers placed on the cake. It looked great.

Yum!! An amazing two-tier chocolate raspberry cake with raspberry buttercream icing. Beautiful, simple icing style. They did exactly what we asked and many guests said that it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. Needless to say, there was none left at the end of the evening!

I was very pleased with my wedding cake from Desserts by Rita. The quality and taste of their cakes are the best around! They sat down with me to design my cake. They showed me pictures and gave me ideas. My cake turned out perfect!

Cake looked great and tasted great. We received many compliments. Cake was supposed to be decorated with leftover flowers from the florist..baker was supposed to take care of the details. Cake was delivered on time, but no one stayed to finish the decorating. My mom ended up doing it before the reception without telling me, and it wasn't decorated the way I wanted it. In the grand scheme of things it wasn't a big deal, but for the price we paid it should have been done correctly.

Rita's is a small, cute little dessert shop in Havre de Grace. I bought my wedding cake there and it was absolutely delicious! You can go for a tasting before the wedding which was really nice. They have a variety of different flavors. My wedding cake had one layer that was lemon and two layers that were double fudge. The cake itself was outstanding, the only negative thing that I could say about Rita's is the way the cake was decorated was very simple. I feel that Rita's probably does not create as beautiful of wedding cakes as other venues may do, but there are cakes are definitely delicious!
