In a word, Maureen's work was perfect. I met her without having a clue about flowers, but I knew I wanted "simple and elegant." Our first meeting lasted a couple hours and we looked at tons of photos, she got to know me a bit, and voila - she came up with amazing ideas all within my somewhat small budget. On the big day, she took care of everything, even pinning the mens' boutonnieres. And WOW did everything look amazing. I had high hopes because I had heard good things, but she really outdid herself. I had tons of compliments on the flowers - everyone was so impressed. She did an AMAZING job. I highly recommend her!

Maureen debruyn has a gift & she is doing what she is meant to be doing!! Her flowers are BREATHTAKING! Initially I wasn't convinced that flowers were on the top of our priority list, but I had more compliments on my flowers than anything else! Maureen is amazing!!! I had a slight idea of what I wanted (simple, classic romantic elegance -- lots of roses), so for our initial consultation I gave her a ballpark budget & then we sat together & looked through TONS of books with flower pictures from magazines, previous weddings, etc. and she listened to us make comments about what we liked & didn't like....then she basically started drawing & communicating her vision of what she knew I would like... & VOILA...she did!!!! Her flowers really put the icing on the whole ambiance for our wedding, and really took our breath away -- literally -- the BEST smelling flowers I've ever encountered. And beyond that, she is so knowledgeable about which flowers work together for both looks and for what will really last the whole day. Finally, I hadn't budgeted all that much for flowers, but man, did she stretch what she could do working within that budget and really went for the gold!! She also has tons of awesome flower holders we could use that worked perfect for our venue. She will work with ANY budget & make it AMAZING! She knows all the tricks of the trade and I can't possibly compliment her enough for the wonderful work she does. THANK YOU MAUREEN!!!!

The consultation was fantastic. I had no idea what I wanted and she got me looking in the right direction and we picked out flowers together that would work and that I liked. The day of I felt like she was in the way. All we needed were the flowers dropped off, but she stuck around and took pictures. She re-pinned all the corsages and boutaniers that someone else had already done. I was about to get into my dress with my photographer and all my bridesmaids with me and she pulled all my bridesmaids out of the dressing room to take pictures of her flowers. She even came into the sanctuary when my groom and I were to have our "moment together" first seeing eachother that day. She did not make me feel like it was about me, but more about her and how wonderful HER flowers were. She wanted us to keep the flowers in water whenever we weren't using them and I had never heard that from a florist before. The flowers made it through the end of the evening, but not much longer. The flowers were stunning and looked exactly how I wanted them, but I will not be using her again.

Flowers: The quality of the flowers was absolutely wonderful! They were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. The colors were vibrant, and fit perfectly with the theme of our wedding.

Personality: I was very disappointed with the professionalism of Ms. deBruyn on our wedding day. My wedding party offered many times to assist her with bringing the flowers in. She refused, and then would give them nasty looks when no one would open the door for her. She also approached my husband (with whom she had never dealt) and asked him to sign a contract stating that we would return our rented items by noon THE NEXT DAY. This was a change from what we had originally discussed, which was to return them by noon on Monday following our wedding. When my brother went to return them (on Saturday, like she asked), he got lost and **I** got a phone call asking where her items where (only 15 minutes after noon).

I would recommend the flowers to anyone, but would not recommend this florist.

Maureen was absolutely wonderful to work with. We could not have been happier with her and her wonderful work. She did a great job of helping us come up with a decorating/floral theme for our wedding that was in our budget. She made planning easy because she was so knowledgable about everything we were looking for. On the day of our wedding, I was blown away by how perfect our bouquets look. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. She has a personal touch and makes every couple feel like they are her only couple. I never felt rushed or pressured to do any thing that I didn't like. To any bride looking for flowers, Maureen is seriously the person to talk to. She is amazing! I will never use any other florist for any of my flower needs.

We couldn't be happier with the flowers by Maureen. Our wedding day was absolutely gorgeous with the help of her skills. She made it so easy as well. I personally didn't know much of anything about types of flowers, but we just sat down & I picked out pictures of ones I liked. Told her my ideas & thoughts for centerepieces & she did it! They were all so incredibly beautiful & tons of guests commented on them. Her work is amazing and she is a very kind woman who is easy to work with.

We had the most beautiful wedding and the flowers definitely made the day! Maureen was a joy to work with, and very professional. We got so much more than we expected, it was wonderful!

Maureen is a floral genius! When it comes to flowers she knows her stuff! I felt like Maureen really listened to me and my vision for my flowers on my wedding day. I had always known that my flowers where going to be something that were special and important to me, maybe more so than even the typical bride, and Maureen did not disappoint! I have since recommended her service to several friends who have hired her for their wedding day flowers and it has been so fun for me to see how Maureen really creates pieces of art that truly reflect the desires of the bride! She was wonderful to work with. I went in with some ideas and sat down and talked them over with her. She had a lot of insight as to which of my flowers that I was interested in would work at the time of year, in my budget, and to fit my theme. After getting dressed and coming up to take pictures at the church, I was amazed by the arrangements. The altar pieces went above and beyond what I expected with a few extra flowers that she added that fit my style. She also custom wraps and decorates the brides and bridesmaids bouquets. She made a satin wrap with a tulle ruffle down the edge to emulate my dress. And the 'toss bouquet' is made of extra flowers and is therefore free. (Especially helpful since I couldn't decide whether that was something worth paying for or not.
