My daughter's wedding was this past weekend, November 5th, 2011. From the moment we contacted A Day To Remember, we knew they were the one's for our magical day. We had a limited budget and some kind of crazy ideas for a menu. Shawn and Lori were more than willing to work with us and made it affordable to boot. Our menu was to be anything but typical wedding fare. A nacho bar for cocktail hour followed by a Chowder Bar, Mac and Cheese Bar, Salad and Bread Bar and a Thanksgiving Dinner. We had a cider donut tower instead of a typical wedding cake. The food was amazing....the service outstanding and the attention to detail beyond words. No need to look any further....you have just found the best caterer around! Our vision came to fruition and didn't break the bank!

From the moment we contacted them, A Day to Remember was fantastic. Lori & Shawn helped us create an incredible wedding menu that focused on middle eastern and Portugese cultures. Since we live in Rhode Island along with many of our guests, we also wanted to incorporate foods specific to the area- appetizers included stuffies, coffee milk and Rhode Island hot weiners. Our guests were very impressed! The meal was completed with a full dessert bar and amazing wedding cake. A Day to Remember was flexible, professional and incredibly helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. The service was great, prices were reasonable and food was absolutely delicious. We have only heard wonderful compliments from our guests. I hope to use them again in the future!

We can't say enough good things about Lori and Shawn! They were so helpful and easy to work with. Not only did they give advice and ideas regarding the food, they were also invaluable with input about decor and other aspects of the wedding.

The guests at the wedding absolutely raved about the food and are still talking about it. We only wish we could have more...

Where to start? Lori and Shawn are a couple of gems that stand heads and shoulders above their competitors in every aspect. Their enthusiasm and desire to please us was apparent right from the start and it never stopped even up to the minute we left the venue. We gave them a challenge of something they had never done before, and with all their research and efforts completely blew us and our guests away. We absolutely loved working with them and hope in reading this you will stop looking for another caterer. Shawn, Lori, if you're reading this, thank you again!!

Lori and Shawn went above and beyond to help me with planning not only the menu for my September wedding but also assisted with rentals, linens and bar tending services. Lori was very quick to respond to my questions which was very important to me as I was planning my own wedding. The day of our event, everything ran smoothly, the wait staff was friendly and professional and the food was sensational. There was a specific waitress assigned to the Bridal party which allowed us to enjoy appetizers and drinks even though we were not able to attend the cocktail hour.

Every guest that myself, my husband and mother have talked to commented on how wonderful the food was, what a great selection of appetizers, main dishes and sides were offered. There was something for everyone, even the pickiest eaters left full and satisfied. We found the quality of the food and service to be exceptional for the price and was worth every penny.

I can’t thank them enough for all of their help. Knowing Lori and Shawn were in charge of the food allowed me to relax and enjoy my wedding day, I didn’t have to worry about a thing from the cake to the left over’s (which were neatly packaged in individually portioned to go containers) I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer for their wedding or any special occasion.

A Day to Remember caterers are INCREDIBLE. They just catered my backyard tent wedding and I couldn't wait to come home to write a rave review! Lori and Shawn were soooo nice and helpful and went ABOVE and beyond what we paid for. Lori was a huge help from the beginning in planning everything from the food, cake, and tent rental needs. She even offered to box up my caramel apple favors with ribbons and favor tags - HUGE help! The food looked and tasted fantastic, and I still am hearing people tell me that it was the best wedding they've ever been to. THANK YOU LORI AND SHAWN!!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Shaun and Lori were. They catered a rehearsal dinner at my home and provided waitress service for the evening.
The food was fabulous and the staffing was perfect. They were so responsive to what I wanted, had amazing food and a wide range of choices.
You won't go wrong if you use them, and I will certainly use them again for any event . Their services far exceded my expectations and allowed me to relax and enjoy the evening .

Lori and Shawn were amazing to work with. They really work with us to make a personalized menu for our wedding. They made everything so easy and helped to create a very stress free day. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Shaun, Lori, and all the staff at a Day to Remember. After our first meeting with Shaun and Lori we knew that we had to have them cater our wedding. You could tell that they were professional, willing to please, and that they loved what they did. We were so excited to choose our menu, which they personalized for us, while staying within our budget. During the months leading up to the wedding, Lori was easily accessible if I had questions, concerns, menu changes, or just needed some professional advice on random wedding topics!:) On the day of the wedding, everything was just absolutely perfect! The baked brie and build your own bruschetta bar appetizer stations were a huge hit. To continue the "stations" theme we chose 3 dinner stations-salmon w/ lobster bisque shooters, fillet w/ a mashed potato bar, and tortellini with Shaun's own creation; an eggplant napoleon. The food was outstanding! There was not one guest who did not rave about it; we still get compliments that it is the best food people have ever had at a wedding. Lori also made our cake/cupcakes, which were fantastic as well. They not only tasted great (they were a customized purple velvet), they also looked exactly as I had envisioned-and displayed beautifully in the tent. It goes w/out saying how pleased Ryan and I with how everything turned out; it was more than we could've even hoped for. Thank you to all the Day to Remember staff who made our day, truly one to remember!!

A Day to Remember catered my son's wedding. The food was absolutely delicious; not your average wedding fare. I would definitely recommend stations so that your guests can sample several choices (we had a pasta station w/ butternut squash ravioli and maple cream sauce, a roasted chicken station w/ rice and beets, and a beef tenderloin station w/ red bliss fries and green beans) The caterers let us choose five passed appetizers, including two that were not on their menu. And the price was incredibly reasonable.

I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THESE PEOPLE! Their business name is really what they provide! I will NEVER forget my wedding day! I have gotten soooo many compliments from all of my 150 guests from my wedding this past weekend 10-16-10, I have had my leftovers all week for lunch, the food is sooooo good! I wish I could order take-out from them! The husband and wife own it and they are such wonderful people! I felt like i could be myself with them from the beginning, they went above and beyond for us and they gave us ideas on what to do with certain things and it was great! I will always recommend them to everyone I know! I can't wait to be able to work with them again, they had a lot of fun at my wedding also! Thank you A Day to Remember! You are definitely the best caterers I've ever had- the food is phenomenal! The food also went PERFECT with the theme of my wedding- it was a fall harvest theme and the stuffed chicken with the roasted potatoes and string beans and home made cranberry sauce and the butternut squash and ahh! So good! Now I'm hungry! You'd be a fool not to go with this caterer!

My husband and I could not be happier with A Day to Remember! They catered our wedding on 10/9/10 and everything was fabulous!!! Lori and Shawn were extremely helpful and attentive from the time we booked them (over a year before the wedding) up until the big day.

After initially meeting with them, they made us an amazing menu- we were so thrilled with their ideas and creativity. The tasting was unbelievably delicious! I also had asked if they would do our wedding cake and they sent us home with lots of samples in cupcake form as well as an entire "birthday size" cake! They definitely went above and beyond our expectations!

They were easy to get in touch with and had great ideas to offer while working within our budget. The food was incredible at the wedding as well as the cake that Lori made (chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting, chocolate ganache, & strawberries). During the wedding, their entire staff were unbelievable. My husband and I had our own waitress who made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night (champagne and appetizers right as our limo pulled up, drinks throughout dinner, etc.). Many of our guests commented on how wonderful the waitstaff and food were.

I have recommended Lori and Shawn to many people, some of whom have already used them! Everyone has LOVED them as much as we do. We will definitely be using them in the future for any of our catering needs. Now that the wedding is over we really miss them!!

My husband gets VERY excited over food! When we met Shawn and Lori and they were just as excited we knew we wanted to work with them. When we went for our tasting it was a meal fit for Kings!! Very impressive. It was only a preview of what was to come. They were friendly, proffesional and creative. They worked with us to make the most amazing dinner plan for our wedding. Guests raved about the food for days! Shawn and Lori have a great staff and really helped make our day amazing!

From the first day I spoke Lori and Shawn at A Day To Remember it was love! I could not have asked for a better caterer. They worked with in our budget. They made a unique menu to fit what we wanted. And it was THE BEST wedding food I have ever tasted. We go SO MANY compliments about the food. They were great at giving ideas and money saving tips. I felt like they were part of the family by the end of it. I cant wait to have an event so I can hire them again. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Lori from A day to remember created my wedding cake and my grooms cake. She did an amazing job. I asked for a very different cake and she was able to pull it off. I also had no idea what i wanted so she asked me lots of questions and creating the best cake ever. I would recommend her in a second!

Laurie and Shawn are AMAZING, they will work with you to develop a menu to your liking and taste. Their staff at the day of the wedding could not have been more accomadating. The food was fantasic and won exceptional raves from our guest and us too! They are great to work with and could not give them a higher review. If you are planning any kind of function they are the best bet.

My husband and I got married 3 weeks ago and used A Day To Remember LLC as our caterer. This was, by far, the best decision we made for our wedding planning. Shawn & Lori were perfect. They are very customer-driven and allowed us to be creative in the foods that we chose for our station menu, and they had great ideas to complement our preferences. They were really friendly and easy to work with, which is extremely helpful during the stress of wedding planning. They even recommended a Florist and DJ to us who were both much better than anyone we had found on our own. And as far as food quality goes, everything was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the wedding was talking about the food!

It may sound grandiose, but I mean it 100% - Shawn and Lori had a gigantic part in making our wedding such an enjoyable experience. And we can't thank them enough.
