I love my dress and the bridesmaid dresses!!! I just didn't like the fact that the ladies helping me were running back and forth helping others. When you make an appointment you should have their full attention. I'm lucky if they even were there half the time to help. But the dresses are amazing!

I bought my dress, bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses from David's Bridal. The manager and the one sales person I worked with were very nice, however, everyone else that we worked with there was awful!!! All of my bridesmaid had problems from their dresses to shoes having to be reordered 4 times. My Mom's dress had several issues from not laying right to falling apart. My dress was too big on the top I felt but they assured me that it fit the way is was supposed to and it did not. I had to pull it up all night long. I do not recommend this vendor.

I started typing and realized how long of an issue this was. I'll give the short version. We arrived at 4:30 for the appointment and let the front desk know my budget and what I was looking for. I was finally taken back to meet my consultant at 4:50. She pulled 5 dresses and took about 5-10 minutes each dress to go straighten up an area of the store, while I had to have family help get me in and out of dresses. I found the dress! When I asked how much, we found out she didn't know I had a budget and was randomly pulling things. Now it is 6:15 and my aunt asked if we could see one more dress. She didn't want to since it was past store closing but did anyways and said this had to be the last one. It fit perfectly and was just a bit over budget. The only alterations that needed to be done was length. I bought it, but she didn't offer shoes, veil or anything. When the dress came in and I called for alterations, they told me I could call in 2 weeks before the wedding. I called in and they were too busy to take me. I don't know why they wouldn't schedule it then, but I had to find someone who would hem the dress and bustle it in 2 weeks!

I loved my dress - but they told me to order a bigger size to get it to be a little bit longer. When the dress came in, the length was the same as the original size, but then I had to pay to alter the dress back down to my size. They did end up refunding my alterations, however I would have ordered a different dress had I known the length was going to be an issue.

The only complaint I have with David's Bridal is that they ALWAYS had a hard time finding me in the system for my wedding AND for my friends' weddings. The Vernon Hills store has helpful staff and it's not as crowded as the Schaumburg location so I thought there was much better service there for bridesmaid dresses and accessories.

Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful to me, especially Jasmina was my consultant and Aracely the alterations manager. I went here because the dresses were within my price range. I spent $799 on my dress and another $500 on alterations. I lost some weight and ended up having to have the dress taken in significantly so I am not complaining. This is not a glamourous boutique by any means. The carpets and walls are in desperate need of a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint but that is how every DB I've ever been in is. I had a single bad issue at my last visit (about 10 days prior to the wedding) to show my sister how to do the bustle. Unforunately, Aracely was off that day and I had to deal with an alterations staffer I had been lucky enough to have avoided until then. First issue: My sisters bridesmaid dress had just arrived and needed to be pressed. She refused and was just generally rude saying she had to make an appointment for the press and she didn't have any time to do it before the wedding. My sister ended up taking her dress to a local tailor instead. Second issue: Aracely had told me to just come to show my sister the bustle so she would know what to do the day of the wedding. She said that my dress would stay there so it coudl be pressed and I'd pick up just a few days before the wedding. This other woman told me the dress had already been pressed (even though it clearly had not) and that I had to take it home that day. In the end - after some arguing - she pressed the bottom which was obviously wrinkled and I took the dress home.

The woman I worked with for the dress shopping and fitting was very helpful and knowledgeable. They also helped me get my dress to Florida where my wedding took place. It was only slightly inconvenient that the days and times for dress alterations was inconsistent and they never called to tell me my dress had arrived, so it stayed in the store for three months before I called them to ask where my dress was.

I went to the David's Bridal in Vernon Hills, IL. Nancy, my consultant, helped me find THE dress for my wedding. She was good at finding a dress that fitted my style. Most of my friends told me they took days to find their dress, but my consultant helped me find mine in 2 hours. She was very supportive and helpful. During the whole visit I felt comfortable and not pressured to purchase a dress.

It's David's so be prepared for traditional dresses at a great price and a little less quality than boutiques. I felt so distraught in the store. I wanted something nontraditional and vintage. It felt hopeless, but then I looked through their Oleg Cassini line and foudn the most perfect gown in the world. I wanted to make some changes to the design, but David's will not alter the design of any of there dresses, so find a good seamstress!

Jazmina was extremely helpful. At first I was a bit put off by David's, as we had to wait 20 minutes despite having an appointment. Jazmina also didn't seem like someone who would offer suggestions, as she was somewhat quiet at first. After we got started, though, she asked a lot of great questions, and based on my answers found the dress of my dreams. We spent considerably less than we would have on the dresses I liked at other stores, and the bra and slip are built in, saving us even more money. My dress arrived in less than two weeks, which was fantastic.

My flower girls got their dresses here, also, and they were so adorable. We found them at the Schaumburg store, but since the family lives closer to Vernon Hills, they ordered them there so they would be more convenient to pick up.

As for alterations, I was not impressed. The dress turned out beautifully, although being a corset A-line that couldn't be lengthened or shortened, there wasn't much to do beyond the bustle. The woman who did my alterations (I don't remember her name) told me right away that the shoes I had spent months searching for, which were flats by the way, were too tall for the dress. My mom and I decided it was fine and overruled her. Then, when I asked her to take in the top of the dress just a bit so it did not stick out from my chest, she argued that it was unnecessary. My mom and I both pushed for it, and she went ahead and did it. At the end of the fitting, it was time to schedule the next appointment. It was difficult to find a date that fit with our schedules and their limited availability. After we settled on one, she said "Oh, I see you live in Schaumburg. Did you know you could have had the alterations done there?" At that point I was beyond annoyed, considering no one had told us that before. Since we didn't want to go through the alterations process again, we kept our appointment in Vernon Hills. When we returned for the second fitting, one of the alterations we had requested (moving the back panel to center it better under the corset) had not been done. They did it while we waited, but it meant spending 15 more minutes there than we needed to.

I would definitely recommend buying dresses at David's, but you may want to go elsewhere for your alterations. They have a great selection and reasonable prices.

I went to the Schaumburg location at first and then ended up at the Vernon Hills location. I had an okay experience in Schaumburg, but went to Vernon Hills when the Schaumburg store wouldn't let me exchange my tiara. When I went to the Vernon Hills store, I couldn't have been more impressed with their service. Their manager let me exchange my tiara and Jazmina helped me pick out a new one and found the perfect necklace to go with my dress. When I talked to Schaumburg about getting alterations, they told me I had to come in very early since they were very busy during the summer. Vernon Hills was able to have me come in during the normal time frame. I did LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my dress from David's Bridal, but I felt like the Vernon Hills staff was much more personable. I felt like I was just another number at the Schaumburg store.

Great dress, great service!

Okay, whoever bags on David's Bridal has not been to one. I love this place! Not only did I get my wedding dress (on sale, mind you) but I also got all my bridesmaids dresses and accessories. Every visit, everyone was so helpful and nice. I will admit, on the weekend this lace is a nightmare because it's so busy, but it helps to make a appointment. I had very tricky alterations done to my dress in order to hide a scar I have and the alterations team was very nice and accommodating. MY dress fit like a glove and my Bridesmaids looked beautiful!

My dress was beautiful. They friendliness of the staff when I went in was not.

I would definitely recommend David's Bridal. I got my $900 dress for $99 due to it being discontinued. My girls also got their bridesmaid's dresses for $99. We got a great deal on everything, and they were very helpful and met my needs well.

Let me start off by saying that my consultant, Jazmina, was great!
I had a baby 2 months prior and was marrying in a month so I didn't have time to choose a dress and have it altered.
Also, I'm a plus size girl & David's had lots of dresses for me to try on.
The first one I tried on was stunning, loved the color & the way it looked on me but I wasn't crazy about the halter.
I tried on 5 more dresses before giviing up and deciding on the 1st dress.
Jazmina said she might have something else and came back with a dress with beautiful beading on it. I told her the beading was gorgeous but was doubtful about trying it on. She convinced me into trying it on & I loved it. It wasn't love at first sight as many girls claim, I had to really observe the dress & when I came back to choose my dress, I almost chose dress #1.
When I put my wedding gown on my wedding day, I knew I had made the right choice. My dress was absolutely breathtaking. I see my wedding pictures & thank Jazmina, in my head, for finding it.
