It seems that David's Bridal in Springfield doesn't have the best reviews but I beg to differ. I cant speak on the behalf of other associates but ANN was amazing. She dedicated her time and all her efforts to accommodate my wants and needs regarding my wedding dress. After a few hours, I was happy with the decision I made. She was very understanding and patient which was what I needed at the time, lol. She just made dress shopping a good experience. I would definitely recommend ANN, you will not be disappointed.

I found my dress during one of their $99 sales. I was truly excited since I'm one of those brides who didn't see the point in spending thousands of dollars on a dress that I will be wearing once. It was beautiful and in my size and color I wanted.
So David's Bridal was the only place I went to since my dress was one of those things I didn't want to spend too much time on. Scheduling for the dress was easy, I got a real nice sales rep to help me out as I tried on dresses. Everytime I called someone picked up and was able to assist me. Of course being there on weekends was horrible since its super crowded and to me that's understandable. Also I the location is undesirable (springfield area is not great) and the parking is not great either, that's not really their fault but I'm stating it here as a FYI. Alteration was reasonable and they did a good job. They did do a complimentary steam and clean but it was not that great. I was a little bummed out to find out afterwards, its not fun lugging your dress around, if you are able to find someone else who can give you a reasonable price and take better care of your dress I would go elsewhere, I did not so i just stuck with them. I wish they did a better job fixing the lace on the body of my dress. People I've spoken with on the phone and interacted with in the store were pretty nice. I guess if your not too picky or high maintenance you'll be okay and happy with what you'll get.

David's did a great job with our bridesmaids dresses. They found our colors and managed to fit all sizes!

I am a curvy girl - size 16 - and Davids has a TON of items to try on. I originally had purchased my dress from the Davids Rockville location. It was a little tight but I was willing to bust my butt to fit into it. Just to ensure that I had a dress that my hubby to be would like, we went to the Davids in Springfield so I could give him a dress show to see which would fit his tastes. I tried on nearly 17 dresses (all off the rack and in my size) and I saved my favorite (that I had purchased already) for last. I had informed the nice girl helping me that the dress was actually the one that I really wanted but that it wasn't going to fit. She tossed it over my head and zipped it straight up. She was GREAT! She said that I may not be able to breathe - but I could defiantly wear it. :) hahah
I came out of the dressing room and my hubby-to-be teared up and said "thats the one". So reconfiming that it indeed fit I asked if there was any way that I could take THIS dress rather than the exact same one I had on order as for whatever reason this one fit and the other one was too tight. The sales clerks were SO helpful! They called straight over to Davids Rockville and worked out a full refund and a new purchase of the dress on the spot. They held my dress and touched up the beads and a few loose strings and I came back for my final fitting 2 weeks later. From start to finish Davids was VERY nice, professional, helpful and best of all offered a TON of options in my sizes so I never needed to "guess" what that size 8 would really look like in a size 16 - on me. I would recommend Davids to anyone looking for ANY special occasion dress. They have prices from very reasonable to expensive. Mine was more on the expensive side ($1400), but it was perfect for me, and I loved every second of wearing it!!!

I knew what I wanted going in, so I did not require a lot of extra assistance, but my consultant was very thorough and sweet.
My dress had arrived and I had to call in myself, they had assured me that I would receive some kind of call or email when it arrived, and I found out that it had been there for about a week, I was literally shocked with joy that it had arrived but also upset that it had been ready for so long without a notice. Cost was great! Flexibility with the alterations department was great and took me as a walk-in despite their many many brides. Dress was finally complete in time for my destination wedding!

I called and set up an appointment 2 weeks in advanced. I arrived 10 min early and they seemed annoyed that I wanted someone to help me, so I started browsing on my own. I finally got a room, and they would not listen to what I wanted. Once I finally found what I wanted, they wanted me to buy everything then and there, but I refused. I gave it a day to make sure it was what I wanted. When I called back it took a long time to find my things, even though it hadn't been 24 hours and I told them to hold it for 48 hours. They then offered me 10% off if I bought everything together, so I did.
When I went to pick it up though, they had not ordered the bustier, and I had to order that separately and with no discount. Getting it altered was also a big hassle, they forgot one of the buttons, and did not tell me there were only certain pick up days. I did not want an expensive dress to wear once, so I guess you get what you pay for. The dress was beautiful and inexpensive, but the help was non existent.

I went to Davids Bridal to look at Bridesmaids dresses 4 days after my engagement, I went on January 4 2011. I was coaxed into trying on gowns for myself, and fell in love with the second one. They ordered it for me as the floor sample was practically destroyed, and promised it would be new, from the warehouse. It was not. The one they ordered had coffee spilled over the front hem, more than average beading missing/falling off, lace torn, and had been stepped on, as proved by the footprint on the gown. 7 visits later (they kept trying to get alterations to fix the problems with the gown), they finally gave in and ordered me a new gown, which to their credit was perfect, when it came in.
I went back SEVERAL times trying to get my fitting completed, but my appointments "dissapeared," and finally I got fitted. They pinned a bustle, pinned the sleeves, pinned in cups, and I paid and signed for the work. I went back this morning, bright and early to try on the gown and pick it up, as the alterations were to be completed on this date. They brought out my "dress" and I am thinking to myself "Looks dingy," but I thought it might be the fitting room lighting, I will wait to see in the main lighting what it looks like. I try it on. NOTHING had been done. Nothing. I ask for the Manager on Duty, to no avail. Had this been the first time I had had problems, I would not have been so upset. It is not a convienent location for me to drive to, Why Hadn't they called to let me know no work had been done? 45 minutes later the alterations manager finally goes to the back and looks again. I had to get very high handed and upset first, however, to get her to do this. They had brought me the FIRST dress. It was hanging directly next to the REAL dress. Which fit wonderfully, except they had JILTED me on the bustle. One alterations lady was also trying to tell me I needed to have an INCH taken off of the hem! This is a gorgeous LACE gown, with beading, I had no need of such a hem at the first fitting, was wearing the same shoes, and had not shrunk. I lost it. I LOST it. My TWELTH time in the store, just for this gown, and now they wanted more money from me, and for me to come back, again. The bustle looked heinous. They used 4 buttons, not the 6 I had paid for, and it was not symetrical. It was frankly disgusting. I was in tears and shaking so hard, and the manager on duty finally came, an hour after asking for her. I happen to be a store manager of a retail buisness. Her being so late in coming was innappropriate. I don't care if she was with another customer, everytime I have been there I have had to wait to speak to a manager. I am not a Diva, but I deserve the same respect as others! Especially when I have a large bridal party, and tab! They got a lot of money from me. I told her how she should have handled it, and I also told her how this had escaleted and most likely I would not have been so upset had she simply come to me in the begining and said "I know you;re upset, you are important, but I have one thing I *have* to clear up for someone else first" I am reasonable, and that would have been fine. Taking an HOUR to come is not reasonable. HUGGING me when I was crying, and entering my personal space is also not appropriate, though it did shock me so much I stopped. She gave me a full body hug, not just a shoulder hug. She was the one who finally ordered the second gown for me, perhaps she felt it was OK. It was very akward. She did say they would finish the bustle as I wanted it, they would do it immediately, and if I did want it hemmed they would do it for free (I demanded all of this, she did not offer it.)I should have demanded money back, actually but I am too nice. I did not get the hemmimg, as it was not needed, that other lady was trying to get money out of me. I ordered the LAST bridesmaids dress, they finished my gown, which is missing a lot of beading from their ROUGH handling of such delicate fabric, and I will be having someone else fix it. I will NEVER go to David's again, I will never reccomend it to anyone. It was way too stressful. I would much rather have paid $2000 plus alterations for the same gown elsewhere, and received better service. Incidentally my gown was NOT on a huge sale, and I spent $1100 all together on it, plus EIGHT bridesmaides dresses. Oh, and I'm under a Doctors care for stress (work plus planning a wedding by myself, and planning for a cross country move as I am marrying a military man), and have broken out in shingles as a direct result. NEVER go to David's. I had an appouintment for everything except the first time I went, which Ironically, was the only good experience I had. The girl who helped me that day was wonderful and none of this was her fault. They have a POOR BUISNESS model, and are extreamly lacking in customer service It should not have taken 12-14 visits to get my gown. It should have taken 3 or 4, one or two to pick out, one or two fittings, one pick up. that's it! Ridiciulous.

I think David's Bridal is a blessing. I had the best assistant in the store. I walked in David's Bridal with less than 2 months to plan my wedding when I meet Jennifer from the Springfield VA store. Jennifer took over and in a matter of 30 mins, helped me pick out the most gorgeous colored gowns for my bridesmaids. She ensured that all of my friends from different states received their gowns in time, which was a process. Jennifer is a genuious and made my experience a pleasant one. Not once did I feel panicked. NOT TO MENTION, I had no idea I was going to purchase a wedding gown. At David's Bridal, I found my wedding gown, after only trying on 2 gowns, hanging on a mannequin on sale for under $500. By purchasing my wedding gown, all of my bridesmaids' received discounts on their gowns. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

The cost was wonderful. However, the customer service was sub par... especially when it came to the fittings.

The prices were low... but the service was not good. I had an appointment that I set up weeks in advance. I was told to print out a list of dresses from the website that I wanted to try on, but when I got there, they didn't have 1/2 of the ones I had picked in stock. I had to wait 15 minutes past my appt. time before I got a dressing room... but then it took another 15 minutes to get dresses to try on. My MOH ended up helping me try them on as the sales lady had too many customers at a time. I wanted a professional opinion as to what type of dress would be best for my body type but she didn't stay put long enough to hold a conversation. The way I found my dress was because another customer requested it but it was accidentally put in my room, not the other lady's. I fell in love with it and then had to hand it over for the other lady. I ended up having to make another trip back (45 miles) to try the dress on a second time and get fitted. If you have lots of time and don't want to be pampered, you can probably find a cheaper dress here. If you want to feel special and have a fun day of dress trying, I'd suggest going somewhere else...

Wonderful service, wonderful selection, wonderful prices. You need a little patience at David's Bridal as they are so busy. But they are busy because they offer such a great selection of dresses at amazing prices. You will see the same dresses elsewhere (the original version) and then similar dresses at David's. No the stitching is not as good, the beading not as good as the dresses which cost thousands more but for one day, the David's dress gives you the same overall impact for a fraction of the cost. The dress my daughter bought was spectacular and no one was the wiser about the cost.

I found my dress at the David's Bridal in Springfield. I didn't have to go anywhere else. My family friends and I had a wonderful experience.

For my wedding, I didn't want to go with a traditional wedding dress but wanted something more simple, so I looked at various bridesmaids dresses. Unfortunately, I found that David's isn't as 'helpful' when you're not getting a more expensive wedding gown. The lady that assisted me with trying various dresses on was very helpful. However, when I picked up my dress, they didn't even assist me with trying it on to ensure it fit well. In addition, when I ordered my dress, I saw a veil I liked and later called to order it. The Springfield store was out of the veil as it had been discontinued. They werne't willing to call other stores to locate the veil for me - they made me call on my own, which I thought was poor customer service.

Note that you have to call ahead and schedule an appointment to actually see the dresses and do a fitting. I scheduled an appointment for me and my bridesmaids and they were very helpful in helping me choose dresses. I am petite so I have some problems finding a small dress but we were able to find one for $400, which is a good deal. I also purchased the underskirt, corset, and veil there. The veil was a bit expensive at $100 and I felt like I could have gone to Michaels to make it for a lot cheaper. The only problem was I wish I had gone to my own tailor (versus the Davids Bridal one), cause that cost me an extra $300 for fitting which included 1 bustle (to pull up the train), tuck, and shortening of the hem. The quality of the gown was ok, but not extravagant which was ok for me since I wasn't looking for a top of the line gown. Overall a good experience, especially for the price, but if you're looking for high quality (luxury) go somewhere else.

This is the first place I've looked so far for a dress. The woman assigned to help me was horrible. I had printed out a few pictures off their website, and she went and got those dresses for me. Then she just handed me the bra and slip, and left me in my room. I had no help getting the dress on, and had no idea what I was doing (all that fabric can be a bitch!). I came out, and she was no where to be found, so my friends wound up helping me. She was MIA pretty much the whole time I was there, and my friends just went to the racks and pulled stuff out for me, because when the woman was actually bringing me dresses, it was not close to what I had described I liked. At one point, while I was up on the podium thing, another woman who worked there came up and asked me where my consultant was. I told her she was missing the whole time, and she was surprised the dress I was currently wearing, that the woman hadn't gotten me the same dress in the petite size. She immediately went and got it for me, and went in my dressing room to help me put it on. She saw that I didn't have the bra hooked correctly (since i had to do it myself) and she kept apologizing saying the woman should have been in there helping me. This woman who was now helping me (I think she must have been the manager) was fabulous and very helpful. The petite size look 100 times better since it wasn't so long and I wasn't tripping on it. I did not wind up buying a dress that day, as I want to continue to shop around, but if I ever go back, I will be prepared to bring more friends since we will probably be doing everything ourselves.
