David's Bridal itself was great - I got my dress, veil, bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride dress, and headpiece there.

It was hard to get in touch with the alterations department and they needed my dress for a long time because they are so backed up.

My consultant was not very good. She failed to tell me the bridesmaids dresses need to be ordered in a size larger than what fits in the store because the dresses are "stretched out" so all the dresses were too small when they came in.

They also did not have the color and fabric of the bridesmaids dresses I wanted in stock, so I had to order them based off the satin color and I was SHOCKED at how much lighter the chiffon dresses were.

When I was shopping for my dress, they were really nice, although they didn't ring the bell for me like they do for everyone. However, when my dad mailed in a check for the final payment, they called and said they can't take mailed in checks. They were really inflexible about how to pay. My dad lived half an hour from the store, and I lived an hour from the store, but we HAD to go in and pay in person. Then, my dress was the the wrong size, so I had to pay a rush fee to get the right size dress in before it would be too late. They still had to alter it, which was fine, but i also had to pay a rush fee on that because the shippings had taken so long. Then, I still wasn't even completely pleased with the alterations, but I dealt with it because I only had a week until my wedding. Keep in mind, I ordered my dress in October for a July wedding, so if the right size dress had come in the 1st time, i would not have had to pay rush fees.
I also ordered my bridesmaids dresses through David's because they are a monopoly and I had bridesmaid in Illinois, California, and Washington. They ordered the wrong style for one bridesmaids, the wrong size for another, and they lost an accessory, and then made us buy a new one.
It was ridiculous. If I could go back and redo it all, I would NEVER use David's Bridal. i would rather hand sew all my own things.

Tracy at davids bridal was great with my bridal party and I. We came in a couple times i was between dresses and she wasn't pushy. I do wish they would have more staff to help so that one consultant didn't have more than 2 brides at a time. I loved my dress so much and got tons of compliments on it. Tracy called to check in a couple times and wish me a great wedding i was happy she was so personal with me and remembered.

I was very worried about using David's Bridal, I have heard many bad things about them and had a prior bad experience there a few years ago.

I can say this store really has turned it around. I LOVE MY DRESS! SO MUCH!!!! The girl I worked with was very helpful and handled everything for me....even found my perfect dress (the 1st one I tried on!).....My bridesmaids were all different sizes/shapes....tall, short, thin, heavy.....you name it we had it, we found the perfect dress there that looked good on all of my girls! and we picked out the flower girl dress there too......I was very impressed with the David's Bridal in Rockford, IL...I hope they keep up the service they showed me....I can't speak any higher of them. :)

Cake tasted and looked fantastic! everyone loved it. very affordable too!

David's bridal did a great job of outfitting my entire bridal party and they made me feel like a friend versus a customer. The only thing I didn't like is that they would say " we'll alter that here...we'll alter that there" and if one is not paying attention you'll buy a dress and the alterations will cost as much as the dress itself did.
They are great in every other respect though.

David's Bridal is a vary nice place to find a wedding gown..I had the greatest consultant and she was vary helpful and answered all my questions. The only problem i had with them was that my dress wouldn't stay buslted. I don't know if it was the way they put it together but everytime i would walk or move it would fall..It was a beautiful dress and i will always treasure my experience.

I didn't have any problems or complaints. Everyone there was respectful and pleasant. The dress was beautiful, and a good value.

The David's Bridal I went to was in Champaign, IL but I didn't see them listed on here. I was able to find the perfect dress at the store and the price couldn't be beat! If you're a bride on a budget, they have a wonderful selection and reasonable prices. The staff is also very helpful and flexible.

Great selection of dresses, staff not as amazing as I had hoped.

They have a layaway plan that is helpful when you are budgeting.

I was pleased with the dress I selected from David's Bridal, but wasn't exceptionally impressed with the customer service. It wasn't BAD, but wasn't anything special, either.

I searched all over NYC and DC for a dress. After trying on all styles and prices (modern, classic, $500.00 to $10,000.00) and going to Kleinfeld’s down to smaller boutiques I ended up getting an Oleg Cassini dress from David’s Bridal. I’ve heard of other folks not having a great experience there but I had a pleasant experience at DB. The dress came in ahead of schedule and was well made.

The other stores I went to were all friendly and helpful (even the intimidatingly large Kleinfeld’s) but I still don’t understand the hour or so time limit—especially since I always went during the week. (I completely understand doing that on the weekend.) It was refreshing to be able to wander around DB and look on my own and try things on that I wasn’t sure I’d like but wanted to see anyway. (And, that my Mom wanted to see me try.) Frankly, if I had done that first I may have been a bit more efficient in selecting dresses at the other locations and wouldn’t have left feeling like I didn’t see everything I wanted to see. Oh well.

Dress was great! Looked amazing. My only complaint was (and this was with just this store...not referring to all stores) that the ladies working at the counter were too busy talking about their haircuts that I had to wait nearly 5 minutes till someone helped me. And the thing is, they were right in front of me at the counter!

But they did a great job at helping me out, though.

David's Bridal in Rockford.. alterations were a horrible expierence. We were even working with the manager Christine. She was very rude and the dress was still wrong after taking it back 4 times!!! I would never take a dress back there again to be alteres. The cost is outrageous and the work they did on my dress was terrible. You need a new manager. They are supposed to fix problems, not create them. Your manager's attitude was something I will never forget. My mother has spent 1800 $ and Christine made my mom cry.. all she could say about her shoddy work was.. " you signed for it!! " If we had any clue about sewing, and what my dress would look like.. you couldnt have paid me to sign. Alterations...work on your customer service.. hire a new manager. The sale's lady are great.
