Davids Bridal is one of the only places in Pensacola to get a wedding dress so you are kind of stuck with shopoping there. The girl I was dealing with at first was wonderful but does not work there anymore, there are a couple other employees there that have some sense but the other ones you have to be very specific with things that you want or need, b/c they will mess it all up.

I'm NOT a big fan of David's Bridal at all. I can not tell you how many times they messed up on my wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses. Wow talk about there attitudes. Not very professional in my opinion. No I would not recommend no one to this place. Save yoursleves a head ache and pay more for a designer gown. TRUST ME!

I always knew that my budget would lead me to David's Bridal. I just didn't realize how much they have changed since my sister got married 8 years ago! I always thought every dress was puffy, satin, beaded, and strapless! However, I was very wrong! They have something for every style, size, and budget.

I always love vintage inspired stuff and I found this open back lace/tulle dress taht was so romantic and flowy. I didn't want anything heavy or ornate ( I found the beading to be scratchy)

I tried on manybe 12 dresses and the sales lady was super nice. I went to a couple places and this is the first place where they actually listened to what I wanted and not just push their "featured dresses" on me. She did throw in some dresses that I would not have picked out into the mix but they ended up looking really pretty. I still went with one I had already had in mind, but I am glad I tried on a few more styles so that I didn't have any regrets later.

My only problem was with alterations. The alterations lady was beyond sweet and professional but the dress itself never stayed bustled during the wedding. I ended up having to carry my train around all night and it was pretty annoying since I wanted to dance/mingle with my guests. The dress ended up pretty dirty at the bottom becuase other people would accidentally step on it or I would. My poor bridesmaids kept taking me to the side to try and fix it and I think they were more worried about helpingme and my dress than focusing on having a good time at the wedding. The price of altering the dress was a little crazy. They charge a fee to have it bustled then additional fees for extra buttons, I ended up having 7 extra buttons!

overall I would have to say i was not pleased with david's bridal. my first experience was when i went in to try on dresses. I looked on the website beforehand & wrote down item numbers for the dresses i wanted to see. They did not bring me said dresses (claimed they didn't have them in store) but magically i found them. i also told them my budget but the girl kept bringing me dresses way out of my price range. She rolled her eyes at me the entire time & acted like she didn't want to be there. instead of helping me she had a veil on and was dancing around goofing off instead of helping me. She completely took off & disappeared on us several times.

I went in another time for a veil that i found on their website, again i was told by an employee it was online only but surprise they had it after all! There are alot of things i could think of but it would take forever to list them all.

the employees in general just have a snotty attitude & would much rather converse with each other instead of help customers. also when i was in the back for my alterations i overheard the girl hang up the phone & belittle the customer to another employee. Just very inappropriate behavior.

and lastly, i do not appreciate the fact that when you step in the door they pounce on you & when you tell them you are just there to look & you don't need any help they glare at you like you are going to shove a dress in your purse & run out the door with it.

I bought the first dress I tried on! When I bought the dress, they were very helpful. When i went back for my bridesmaid dresses, the woman who assissted us seemed to have no idea what she was doing. We had to return and re-ring our transaction because the woman didn't give us the sale price and didn't ring up a pair of shoes. When I went for my final fitting, they were 20mins late getting me in there. When they bustled the dress they got ink on the lace and that had to be cut off.

I didn't end up getting my wedding dress there, but I did have my bridesmaids get their dresses their. When I went into the store to buy shoes and go with my cousin so I could pick out my flower girl's dress, the sales people basically didn't acknowledge me until I went to check out with my shoes. The associate at the register was rude, and asked if I was in a wedding. I told her that I was a bride registered here but I found my dress somewhere else, and she proceeded to tell me very rudely that I should have used them so I can save my bridesmaids money. They seem only nice to you until they find out you are a bride not buying a wedding dress from them. I have been in the store a hand full of times now, and they still don't impress me.

I had nothing but wonderful service at the beginning with David's Bridal in Pensacola, FL. Then once I had to have my dress altered it turned into a nightmare. The first seamstress was pleasant but only took up a small bunch on the back of the dress. When I went back in for the second fitting, the dress had to be taken up alot more under the arms. The third time was still to big and that was suppose to be my final fitting. I had told them that my wedding was actually two weeks earlier to make sure that I had my dress on time, it was a good thing that I did. So the week before my fake wedding date, I went back in for the "second final fitting", the strings that hold the sash on the dress was messed up. The seamstress was like it is no big problem this happens all the time. Remember this was suppose to be the final fitting, my dress was not pressed or anything. Back to the sash, the seamstress took the dress and said that I could pick it up that weekend. I returned that Saturday, tried on the dress, same thing with the sash problem. I told the seamstress that we have a problem, she looked and saw what I was talking about and took the dress back to the back. She finally brought in out and said that it was fixed. I thought how hard could it be to tact the sash again so I didn't try it on. Left the store. The day of the wedding, it put the dress on and the same problem was there the sash was tacted down to far and that left an indention in the sash that you can see on some of the wedding pics.
David's Bridal has some of the best prices on gowns, but the alterations department is terrible.
