David's Bridal is a great place to find an affordable wedding dress, however there are several drawbacks. The dress itself might be affordable, but they get you with all the accessories that they push on you. Also, the alterations are expensive and not of good quality. They talked me into buying a $75 bustier and then they altered my dress and it was too tight to actually wear the bustier. I paid around $60 for shoes that ended up having rough edges around the toe area which caused some major rubbing/blisters after two hours. You cannot return any items, even if it is still in its original package. There are definitely some great dresses at David's, but if you do buy there I recommend getting all your fitting and accessories elsewhere.
We got all of our dresses and shoes from David's Bridal, my mother-in-law even bought her dress there. The staff was great and the prices were fantastic.
