I have had several experiences with David's Bridal. From looking for my own wedding to also looking when I was a bridesmaid for other weddings. So, after all those times of having to go in there because they are one of the few places to have certain things brides need I can honestly say that they are absolutely horrible! I have never once had a consultant try to help me. If you don't "register" with them the minute you walk in the door then they ignore you. Also, when you "register" with them you resign yourself to receiving an insane amount of emails from them and their partners and several phone calls a week from them and their partners.

When I went with my friend when she was shopping for her wedding dress she brought myself and all the other bridesmaids in hopes of having us find a bridesmaid dress for all of us while we were there. I can say that we found a dress we liked... but in no way was it by the help of the consultant. The consultant was only interested in the bride (and at that her only words of encouragement were ,"that's nice" "That looks good". No actual constructive opinions) once the bride went into the dressing room the consultant completely ignored all of the bridesmaids when we were trying to find dresses. We literally tried to ask her questions and she ignored us and walked away.

For my own wedding the only thing I ended up getting there were shoes and a veil. They were satisfactory.

I hope I never have to step into the doors of a David's Bridal ever again in my life!

The first time I went to try on dresses the woman did not help much at all. They weren't busy it was on a Tuesday morning and we had an appointment. I had to have my grils get their dresses there because my dress had the David's Bridal Apple on it. I am glad that I had to give if a second chance. The next person that helped me was wonderful. To find out the first person I worked with didn't work there any longer, I wonder why, lol. Anyway they have been great with me ever since. I got to put my dress on lay-a-way, love it. The only other problem I had was with one of my bridesmaids dresses, they called to tell me one of my girls dresses were in and I checked to see about my other girls dress and they said she hadn't ordered it. Thank God that she called because they never ordered it even though they took the money out of her checking account. Everything else was great, lots of perks if you buy your dress there.

I did not get my bridemaids dresses here b/c I didn't feel they had enough color options for the dresses I liked. Some of their designs would only have 4-5 color options where the more common dresses may have 15 options... but I'd seen those dresses on several Bridezillas episodes.

However, I did get my wedding dress there and was very pleased with it. I got it for a good price. It was the first thing I bought (11 months before the weddign date) and I was still pleased with my selection when it was time for the wedding. Because Daiv'ds is pretty popular, they get a little busy and at times I didn't get the attention I think a bride deserves, but overall, it was okay. I would not have changed my dress.

I ordered my jewelry from David's. It was really pretty when I got it, but they did not call to let me know it came in. The same happened with my wedding dress. We had to call and check and each time, they were like, "oh yes, it's here". I just think they may be too big. It's probably best to go with the little guys for these types of needs.

It was hard at times to get quality service. I had to have my gown altered here as well. They had to alter it twice before they got it right and I had to pay for it both times. The final result didn't fit as well as I was hoping for it to but I didn't have it in my budget to pay again. Trying on dresses was a little frustrating. Rather than just letting me and my bridesmaid go out and look for dresses that we liked they made us stay in dressing area and they brought dresses to us that they "thought we would like." They brought me the ugliest and most unflattering dresses that I had ever seen! On top of that, everytime I tried on a dress they shoved a tiara in my hair and said that it looked great despite me telling them repeatedly that I didn't want to wear a tiara. I had about 10-15 ugly tiaras and veils piled in my dressing room by the end of the session. My sister actually snuck out of the dressing area and found a couple dresses for me that she thought I might like. THe dresses that she picked out ended up being my top 3 choices and I did buy one of them. As far as them helping to find "the" dress, they were no help at all. As far as them being able to order "the" dress in the correct size, they were great (despite still needing a little alteration). Alterations were VERY frustrating. Not so sure I would go back here if I had to do it all over again.

Overall it was a good experience. My bridesmaids were happy with their dresses and the process of buying them. There was no problems with alterations.

The David's Bridal in Asheville, NC did a great job helping me choose my bridesmaids dresses. The lady who helped me was very nice and made several great suggestions for the wedding. I did have a few problems with some of the other staff. One of my bridesmaids went to pick up her shoes which were both different sizes. They have horrible customer service over the phone. I called twice and they were too busy to answer questions or assist me over the phone. I did not get my wedding dress there because the first time I went the lady helping me in Raleigh, NC was very rude. The bridesmaids dresses were very pretty.

They were great! Two of the girls gowns didn't fit - and they exchanged them without any problem. The shoes weren't dyed the appropriate color - I brought them back and showed them that they were off by ALOT - no problem - redyed two new pairs - without charge. Little mishaps like these but they handled everything with ease.

I love my wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses, however, I feel that everytime I went there it was hassle and it was exhausting. It seemed as though half of the people knew what they were talking about and communicated really well with me and then the other half had bad communication. Overall, I recommend going somewhere else for attire.

The invitations turned out great. Just be sure to order extras b/c if you run out you will have to pay the base price for for more invitations which is like 10x what it would've cost you to add extras to begin with!

I only went to this David's Bridal for my fittings - I bought my actual dress at a David's Bridal in Pa. I would recommend this David's Bridal for your fittings if you do not have to have a lot done. I did and the bill ended up being way more expensive that I thought it was going to be.
