I guess I walked in expecting too much from a bridal gown chain store, but I thought I'd at least get a smidge of the "Say Yes to the Dress" experience, but no. You're lucky if they even come back to check on you once they grab you 2 out of the 10 dresses you want to try on. I can't tell you how many times I heard "Oh, we don't have this dress in stock". So frustrating! And forget about having them help you into this huge dress that weighs 50 pounds. Defiantly bring girls with you to help you, because your consultant won't.

Bottom line is that I did buy my wedding dress there. I fell in love with it and the price ($600). However, I also got all my alterations done there, too and that was a big mistake. I ended up paying an additional $400 just in alterations. All they did was hem the bottom of the dress, move the back panel up 1/4 of an inch, add bra cups and a bustle. $400 seems really expensive for 4 things. I would advise you to take your dress somewhere else to get it altered, if needed.

Some (not all) of the staff can be a little more friendly. I can sit here and talk about some of the things we didn't like. However, the service we received from 'Ashlyn' was very friendly, and personal. I didn't feel as if I had a salesperson assisting me, but more like a friend. The overall service is great! Very convenient for you to pick out your selection online, then go in to the store to try them on! Thanks Ashlyn!

I didn't expect amazing service from a corporate wedding vendor, and they certainly did not exceed my expectations. I ran into a few issues with them, the most notable being:

1) they failed to call me to tell me that my gown had arrived (I had to call them)

2) the shoes I ordered to have dyed ivory came back with blue stains on them (careless); they replaced them though so that was good.

3) several of the loopholes for my bustle (it was the under-the-gown type) were too small and the buttons could not fit through them - my bridesmaids had to safety pin parts of my dress up so that I wouldn't trip over it. I have no idea how the woman who did the alterations for the bustle managed to get the buttons into the loops when I tried it on in the store - she must have fingers of steel, or the loops shrank when they steam cleaned it.

4) I asked if they could alter my gown for a tighter fit (the bodice felt like it would slip when I moved around) - they wouldn't do it because they thought it was tight enough already. The bodice moved too much for my liking and I had to keep hiking it up throughout the evening)

Long story short - if you can catch their mistakes BEFORE your wedding day, then they can probably make things right for you. Truth is, they seem to do a pretty good job but only after some trial-and-error.

My sister got her dress there, we were told they would call us when it came in. We never got a call, infact we called them! & when we went to pick it up, it was wrinkled, it wasn't even steamed as they told us it would be when she first bought it.. So we had to leave the dress there and come back for it almost a week later. It was a big inconvenience because it was the week of the wedding. Aside from that, everything went well. The prices are reasonable, I just wish they would be more on top of things. I got my shoes from there too, no complains there, but again I had to call them, they never called me!

They have so many dresses here and at afforadable prices. I wanted the perfect dress but I didn't want to pay thousands for it. I found exactly what i was looking for on the clearance rack! It was a beautiful beaded/lace sweetheart dress. I loved it and everyone kept complemanting on how beautiful it looked! The alterations department where also so great! Had such a great experience here!

Loved my dress for the value I payed. My bridesmaids got their dresses here too and it all worked out! Great color and fabric on all dresses we purchased. Staff was friendly and helpful

Good thing I had my fittings! After my first fitting I went back, and thank goodness I tried again, because the back of my dress of hemmed up too high - it didn't even touch the ground. It had to be re-done and so it took an extra few weeks. I went back just 3 weeks prior to my wedding and everything was fine (thank goodness). The seamstress ladies were very nice and are very helpful in the fitting. Overall it was a good experience. Just allow time for alterations.

My experience with David's Bridal was good; the customer service is good. The only negitive is that they charge to steam your dress after they wrinkled it in there ridiculously small dress bag.

The overall experience at the Burbank location was very nice. The fitting process was good and my consultant was attentive and got all the dresses I selected. She didn't stay to help me get into any of the dresses, my sister did that for me. She did make sure to check in with us on a regular basis though. It would have been nice to have her a little closer to provide the clothes pins to help cinch in the waist or hips of some of the dresses I tried on. When I went to stand on one of the podiums to look at the dress another consultant was talking in front of the mirror and wouldn't move out of the way so I could see myself. She gave me a little attitude when I asked her to slide over. I wasn't her client and she made me feel that way. It didn't ruin my experience but it is something I still remember. I would recommend this location just be aware that you won't get as much personal service as you would in a smaller bridal salon.

the only thing i was a bit unhappy with was how expensive the alterations were - but overall, they present a real value.

The staff are wonderful and they have dresses for all budgets. My dress was beautiful and very reasonably priced for the amount of lace and beadwork. The chapel train flowed beautifully which made my maid of honor's job too easy :). Alterations were very reasonably priced (I only needed a bustle done). I was never disappointed when I went to their store; consistently, the staff were wonderful and very accommidating, even the times I did not make an appointment first. We also got the bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses there and they were beautiful. Highly recommend this store due to the vast inventory of dresses they have in stock. I tried on at least 10 in my size. It makes it so much easier to decide what you want when you can try things on.

They did my alterations and steamed and pressed my dress as well as help me find the perfect comfortable flat shoe! The dresses can get pricy but their shoes and accessories are not too bad. I have nothing bad to say about this branch of David's Bridal.

I know that David's Bridal typically gets bad reviews. I agree depending on which location though. I initially went to the one in Northridge and got horrible service! I decided to go to the one farther from where i live, which is the Burbank location. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The one who helped me there is Andriza. She was awesome! She was friendly, patient, honest about how the dress looked, and she remembered me each time i came in to the store. I had such a great experience there and am very happy about the dress i chose.
