    Stone Weddinf 7-27-19

My wife and I got married on July 27. In late June we had to find a new DJ for our wedding. Crowd Pleasers and DJ Rob were extremely flexible and got back to us very quickly. They were very professional, fair prices, and provided everything that we asked. Plus, they did an absolute amazing job at the wedding. They controlled the flow of the reception, with a variety of fun and entertaining music. I believe that if it wasn’t for Rob and Crowd Pleasers flexibility and professionalism that our wedding would not have been near as entertaining as it was. I have had multiple guests tell me how awesome our DJ was. I would definitely recommend them to all of my friends and family, and without a doubt use them again if I ever have to plan or host an event where I need a DJ.

Rob was fantastic! I was nervous about hiring a DJ online and was thinking about skipping it. So glad I changed my mind!!! We had such a great time and Rob was so accommodating and flexible. He got everyone up and dancing. He manned the photo booth and I can't wait to see all of those pictures. He did great doing both and keeping smiles on everyone's faces. He even taught us about crabbing (we tried it with some success). He was very easy to get in touch with before hand and actually the main reason I went with him was his responsiveness. We were two weeks away when we decided to get a DJ. Honestly he made the reception amazing and everyone kept saying how great the DJ was the next couple of days. Thanks so much!!

Rob was an absolute blast to work with! Everyone had a great time at the wedding and could not stop talking about the music. He also provided a photobooth which the guests loved! I would recommend him to anyone that needed a DJ for any type of event!

Rob at Crows Pleasers entertainment did a WONDERFUL job! I cannot express how happy that I am that I chose them. I found them on weddingwire, and at first was a little apprehensive since I found a DJ on a very popular site. However, he was willing to work with me and did everything that I asked! Our wedding was 2 hours away from where Rob is located, and he travelled to our location to DJ. Also, the ceremony was 40 minutes away from the reception, and Rob was able to have everything setup and ready to go at the reception AFTER doing the music for the ceremony. He picked great songs! I did not even have to tell him what genre of music to play because I didn't even know what would fit everyone best! The groom's family loved a mix of rock and pop and oldies, and my family was ALL country. Rob played the best music and EVERYONE had a great time!

We also used the photobooth, which was a GREAT hit! I am so happy how everything turned out, and I would recommend Rob for anyone!

Crowd Pleasers was a great addition to the wedding. They made the party. I recommend them highly! I'd use them again in a heartbeat. The online song request was great for guests to make requests. It was so much fun! I'm glad I didn't go with a band.

Absolutely Loved this DJ!! He was amazing and really brought the party. without him our wedding would have been beautiful and dull but being that we had him host our wedding it was beautiful and the BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES! He was so easy going and eager to work hard for us to make it the best day ever!! This was my first time to hire anybody from this site and of course I was really skeptical, but once I met him in person and began communicating with him I became comfortable and confident in him! Sooooo glad I made the choice to use this DJ and we will definitely use him again at other events!! Rob Lehman, thank you sooo much for the best wedding, party ever!! Good luck to you and may the Lord bless you with many more events to come!

Rob, the owner of Crowd Pleasers, did an amazing job from the moment we first contacted him to the very end our wedding reception. I can honestly say that without Crowd Pleasers, our reception would not have been as lively.

When we first contacted him, he was very courteous and well-spoken. He communicated clearly exactly what we should expect and every step in between. He was extremely responsive to every question we had between the time we inqured about his services, to the time we booked him, and up until the big day!

His website made the event seamless. It allows you to not only outline your wedding or reception, down to the minute if you want, but you can tell him exactly what songs you want played, when you want them played, and you can even provide a link to you wedding guests so that they can suggest songs they want played, too!

What made our reception even more unique is the Photo Booth we also purchased with Crowd Pleasers. This became a HUGE hit, even more than I expected. It came with props so that our guests could take 3 silly images. Each guest received their picture, which had a picture us (the newlyweds), and the 3 pictures to the side with the wedding date printed below. What made the Photo Booth great for us, besides allowing our guests to have a great time, was at the end of the night, he provided us with a beautiful photo album containing each one of the pictures that our guests took! This was such a wonderful gift from him and will remain a keep-sake we will always look back to.

Overall, Crowd Pleasers did an outstanding job. I could probably keep going with this review but I must stop at some point. All I can say is that if don't book Crowd Pleasers, you will be missing out and I can garauntee your event won't be nearly as exciting than if you booked with them.

Thanks, Rob, for such an amazing night that we will never forget.

Rob did an amazing job despite the fact that we only had a cake and punch reception and nobody really danced. He always responded to any messages I left him, and he is very friendly and will help you out.

    Crowd Pleasers Professional Entertainment's reply:

It is always great working with brides that are as sweet as you, your family was very inviting, and friendly. You could feel that love that you and your new husband have for each other. Best of luck, and many, many years of happiness!

I felt like Rob was going to do a wonderful job. Well Rob wasn't the one that showed up to do my wedding. It was very disappointing. We were announced bride and groom at reception and walked to do our first dance. He didn't know what song and didn't have it ready to play. We stood their like idiots. The same thing happened with the other two planned dances. After that, the music was great. Again, this wasn't Rob this was someone he sent. The ceremony went okay but the song for us to walk out two started about the time we were done walking. I was very disappointed that I wasn't aware Rob wasn't going to be there and this guy had no idea what he was doing.

    Crowd Pleasers Professional Entertainment's reply:

We do over 150 weddings a year, and all of my guys are pro's in the business. I don't hire rookies everyone has a bad day, even myself. With that being said, I can't do anything about correcting my employees mistakes if you remain a private user, or don't contact me directly to remedy the situation on who made the mistakes. We strive to be the best of the best. Nothing can change what has happened, I will make sure and talk to all of my employees to make sure this type of situation is not a problem in the future. Thank you for the review, I do wish you a lifetime of happiness.

I send the Dj the songs prior to the reception, but it seemed like he didn't have some of the song like the mother/son dance song together.

    Crowd Pleasers Professional Entertainment's reply:

We always ask for the special request sheets 2 weeks in advance, unfortunately the computer software didn't recognize the music we added for the reception, but were able to borrow someone's phone to get the song played for the bride, and her father.

    Disappointing

Services prepaid for not provided. Acknowledged by Rob the DJ yet 20 days later no return calls & no $381.50 refund. Unprofessional!

    Nightmare. Do not be deceived!

    DID NOT PLEASE THIS CROWD!
*IF YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR WEDDING OR EVENT DONE RIGHT, PLEASE KEEP READING*
    Actual texts from my friends:
“He looked so sloppy and smelled like smoke”
    “Was he drunk?”
“Did you see your dj hanging his shirt to dry in front of the ceremony??”
    “Omg who was your dj?”
“He was bad! Y’all definitely need to do something”
“I hope you get your money back for that crap show”
“Your music guy was drying his shirt in front of the entire wedding!”
“You must really like the song God gave me you. I kept telling my friend, she must really love this song😂 he just kepppt playing it”

MUSIC is a huge deal. It totally sets the vibe for an event, and this guy ruined it. And what’s worse, we aren’t getting our money back after pleading with the owner. DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Oh, and you know it’s bad when you leave an honest review on Facebook to warn innocent people and the owner completely removes the review tab. Come on, where’s the transparency?

    1. DJ who was doing my WEDDING was supposed to call me the Tuesday BEFORE the wedding to run over everything - I text Rob, the owner, and he kept saying he would call. I did not get a SINGLE PHONE CALL until THE NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING AT 10:27 at NIGHT. He left a voicemail saying sorry he’s calling so late he had a busy day and was “grocery shopping” ANYONE in their right mind would know not to call a bride at 10:27 the night before her wedding - and the worst part is that was his FIRST connection with me after multiple attempts to get him to call me.
    2. The next morning when I should be getting ready and not worried about a DJ i paid high dollar for, I text the DJ and said I was busy when he called so late but to please call me. He responds with “sorry I’m at work” ARE YOU SERIOUS? I am your “work” and my wedding is in 7 hours and you haven’t talked to me once. When I finally got him on the phone, I ran over several things with him and felt VERY uneasy after the phone call. He acted like he had NO idea what I was talking about. When I would say things like , “you know what I’m referring to right?” He said “honestly ma’am I haven’t looked over your itinerary yet.” He was so nonchalant about everything. This type of stress should not be on a bride the day of her wedding.
    3. He was told to not set up lights, and an hour before my wedding my director is coming to me saying he is setting up lights. We specifically did not want lights. This means he didn’t even glance at our itinerary. Which I already knew because he admitted to it on the phone.
    4. THE CEREMONY- Eric, the Dj, was supposed to play 4-5 songs while the guests were arriving. I specified these songs on the Itinerary on their website. It was CLEAR AS DAY and this should have been his easiest gig. Instead of playing what the bride requested, he played “God gave me you” by Blake Shelton for TWENTY SEVEN MINUTES. I know this because I have a log list of everything that was played. After that, he played “wedding instrumental” and who even knows what that was. He was given 5 songs to play and when they ran out, to play them on repeat. He chose 1 song out of the 5 and played it on repeat for half an hour. My wedding director went to him and asked if he would PLEASE change the song and he refused, saying this is what the bride wanted. She said he looked really frazzled. She said “I am the wedding director and I’m telling you right now to change to song.” And I guess this is when he went into some instrumental crap nobody told him to play.
    5. Before the bridesmaids walked in, the bridal march blurted out of nowhere. What the ?
    6. The DJ set up UP FRONT behind the bridesmaids(who does that?), so Yeah, he is photo bombing all my ceremony pics. Lovely. Oh and sporting a white t shirt. Rob, don’t comment and say he had nowhere to sit. He did. I already know you’re going to try and defend him on this post. My director told him where to set up.
    7. He used 3 of our ceremony chairs to hang his wet shirt to dry DURING THE CEREMONY. I can’t tell you how many texts I got saying “what’s up with your dj doing his laundry up front?”
    8. As my dad was handing me off to my groom, the exit song (very fun and fast) randomly played and frizzled out like a scratched record. Of course people laughed and I had to laugh but this was a very serious moment and incredibly unprofessional.
    9. When it came time for communion, the signal was given to him to play the communion song. We waited what seemed like an eternity in the awkward silence until it finally played. My mom said Eric was scrambling through papers up front during this time like he didn’t know what was next. It was 48 seconds of dead silence (minus the shuffling papers) until the song was played, and when you’re standing in front of people, that’s a VERY long time.
    10. Microphones were not loud enough. Several guests commented they couldn’t even hear. And it was a small venue. Rob, the owner, blames it on the rain. The rain had stopped. And even if it was - you HIRE A PROFESSIONAL to know what to do during unforeseen circumstances.
    11. After our pictures, post - ceremony, we were waiting outside for the DJ to announce us. Nobody could find him. He was EATING at a reserved table with family. Nobody gave him the clearance to do that at that time. Rob says he got permission from the wedding coordinator, and believe me, she would never tell him to do that before the bridal party was ever seated. He shouldn’t go chill and eat with the fam at reserved table (??) until the bridal party has entered.
    12. When he finally announced us, he completely screwed up my bridesmaids names and called them by each other’s name. I literally sent him a text the morning of the wedding with their names in the order they were coming in. I text him because I felt so unsure he had even looked at the itinerary where I also typed out their names in order. This is when he said “yeahhh I haven’t looked over your itinerary yet” THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING
    13. RECEPTION - did not play a SINGLE song I put in the song list. He was told to only play music from my list (we didn’t want a bunch of crazy music) and he didn’t play a single song until my husband went up to him halfway through the night and said what’re you doing? Can you please play the songs? He was literally playing DISNEY MUSIC. My friend came up to me during the reception and said why is this guy playing Disney?? It was VERY noticeable.
    14. He barely announced cake cutting, barely announced bouquet toss and barely announced garter toss. He didn’t give my photographer time to even get over there. My mom was in the reception and said she never even heard him announce the bouquet toss, so she missed it. The whole thing was extremely anticlimactic. Only a few people even came to the bouquet toss.
    15. He was given 3 dedication songs and didn’t play a single one.
    16. A DJ works the crowd , this guy literally was set up on some chairs barely talking into the mic.

    NOW TO THE OWNER.
    ROB-
    1. Literally text me (the bride) on my wedding night saying my family was refusing to pay for the microphone. We were not going to pay for something that didn’t even WORK. It was like they weren’t even turned on. My husband called him and the guy was yelling saying he was going to take us to court. After all his AWFUL DJ did and completely SCREWED my wedding, the audacity of someone to threaten suing over $150 microphone.
    2. Next day, 2 of my friends post reviews on Crowdpleasers. We call Rob and he is sugary sweet (he sees the reviews and his stars dropping) and saying he wants to make it right. So we ask for the log list.
Monday, July 22, I’m on my honeymoon when I shouldn’t be worried about this but I’m humiliated, I text Rob asking for the log list to see what was played. He texts saying his aunt died. So I give him a WEEK. In this time, I am getting texts from my friends and vendors of the wedding asking who the DJ was to make sure they never book him. He assures me he is going to make it right, but I cannot shake how upset I am. It was TERRIBLE.
A week later on July 29, I text again saying I need to see the log list of what all was played. He texts “No, I’m out of town and won’t be back until Sunday.” WOW!!!! So first his aunt died, then he puts me off another week. So now it’s two weeks. I text him on the following Sunday, August 4, asking for the log. Trying to be as patient as I possibly can. He texts “out of the office it’ll be tonight or tomorrow” I text back ok, and give him my email address. Never got ANYTHING Monday. At this point I hand it over to my husband bc I CANNOT deal anymore with him, and he said “she should have called me and made contact monday” even though I had JUST contacted him on Sunday with my email address saying I’ll be on the lookout.
    3. Finally, on Wednesday or Thursday I got the list. My jaw was on the ground at the music he not only played, but did not play when specified to. We tell Rob we need to talk to him and he says he’s gonna crunch some numbers. He offers to give us $398 back. Let me just say- we paid him more than $398, so this was borderline offensive. We denied it, and asked for a full refund for the music. He said he can’t give us a full refund because “he still has to pay the DJ” and this is somehow OUR fault? NO. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. He said the DJ had a stomach ache that night. REALLY? you’re actually excusing this guy? He was SO rude and mean on the phone to us. I was almost in tears over the fact someone could be so rude knowing he screwed up my music. HE EVEN FIRED THE GUY, so he knows how terrible he was, and he still won’t give us a full refund. HE kept making US feel like we were pestering him. Like WE did something wrong and were bothering him asking for our money back. We believed the best in him when we talked that Sunday after the wedding. Should’ve known he was being nice because his business reviews were in jeopardy.
We told him if we didn’t get a full refund that we would post HONEST reviews to warn other unsuspecting brides of a wedding nightmare. He started threatening to sue us because of a bad review. Well, here we are. Lost a LOT of money, time, energy. My husband has emailed and text him, pleading for some sort of refund because he breeched the contract. He is completely ignoring us at this point. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. He isn’t going to take us to court because if we get in front of a judge, he knows he will be writing a check out to US.

TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE. YOU’LL HAVE BETTER LUCK PLUGGING YOUR IPHONE INTO AN AUX.
