This was voted a "Best of the Knot Pick" but I'm not sure why. I was able to make an appointment easily and look through the racks to pick out what I wanted to try on. I did this and pulled mostly what I thought I wanted but a few different ones too - for some perspective. The saleslady suggested starting with the different ones than what I though I wanted. I did that and said each was fine but not really what I wanted which prompted her to start bringing in dresses that were similar to the so-so dresses and ignore the other dresses that I had selected to try on. When I became distressed because we were getting off of the mark she commented that maybe we should finish up because I was whining (I think this was meant to be funny but I didn't really appreciate it.) When she went to put some of the rejected dresses away I pulled out one of my choices and told her that I wanted to try that one. Guess what - that is the one I bought. They were running a great promotion at the time so I got 10% off of the gown because I bought it on my first visit to the store - that pretty much paid for the alterations.
The alterations went well - the dress pretty much fit - just needed to be hemmed. I did feel a bit rushed to get in on and off during the fittings when I really wanted to spend a little time in the dress that I love so much!
I had to have the dress shipped to me since I live and got married in Maryland (bought the dress in MA so I could do the dress shopping with family.) There was a little confusion there as Steve's email was bit unclear but he didn't think so and was a bit condescending to me when I asked for clarification. Anyway the dress arrived quickly and in good condition.

It was a fine experience but nothing special.

Christina's has a huge selection of dresses, a great staff and provides alterations and gown preservation out of one location. (They also have belts, jewelry, etc.) I enjoyed working with the staff who do not try to pressure you to buy but work with you to find something you want. They were also incredibly helpful and sent a sample of my dress fabric to my florist when I forgot to take it home!

After reading the other reviews about Cristina's Bridal, I am not surprised anymore about the rude treatment I received during my interactions with them. I had to order my dress over the phone, and I spoke to two different saleswomen who were both extremely rude. They were nasty to me about when I was ordering the dress (telling me I was "jeopardizing the entire bridal party" by order late - even though we had over six months before the wedding). The saleswoman also tried to convince me to order a size 18, even though I knew a size 16 would fit. A size 18 would have been $40 for extra shipping and who knows how much for alterations. I also had to pay $22 in shipping because the other dresses were going to the shop in Massachusetts but mine was being shipped to my house in New York. Well, the dress showed up less than a month after I ordered it (so much for "jeopardizing the order") and it was shipped from approximately 20 blocks away from me in New York. I am disgusted that I had to pay for that much for something to be shipped such a short distance while the other girls did not have to pay anything for their dresses to be shipped three states away.

I called the shop to speak to Cristina to complain about the service and, as it turns out, she was the rudest one of all! She was extremely defensive and barely let me get a word in. She also tried to tell me that it was possible that her saleswomen were rude because they recently changed locations, though I don't see what one thing has to do with another. She was also unnecessarily sarcastic with me when I told her that the size 16 dress fit perfectly (she was "sooooo thrilled" for me that it fit) and she practically hung up on me. Obviously the customer service attitude in that shop flows from the top down.

I work in client service and I know how customers are supposed to be treated and, because of that, I am completely appalled by the service at Cristina's. I would absolutely never recommend her shop to anyone at all. I hope Cristina realizes that I know a lot of people and I go to a lot of places and I plan to tell everyone I cross paths with to shop at another store that will treat me like an actual human, not just a dollar amount.

I went in to Cristina's early in the day on a Tuesday to try on a bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding. The wedding is in Florida but I live in MA so she sent me there to try on two dresses from the Jim Heljm Occasions line. The sales people upstairs sent us, my mother and me, downstairs because they were too busy to help us find the dresses. Walking down the stairs I noticed someone staring at me, rudely staring as if I did not belong there, turns out she works there. She was the person who was supposed to help us find the two dresses, somehow she could only point to the racks where these dresses should be. She didn't even look up the style numbers for me to let me know if they had them. Cristina's is supposed to carry the full current collection, but they only had one of the two dresses we were looking for or I just could not find the other one. Then to make things even worse they would not let me take a picture on my phone to send to my sister in Florida!!! But the girl in the dressing room next to mine was taking all the pictures she wanted and no one told her she couldn't. I was in complete shock at how rude and poor the sales associates were. Maybe I'm not skinny enough or pretty enough to be treated like a customer in this shop, but I HAVE MONEY TO SPEND AND IT'S GREEN JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE'S MONEY!!!

I will never go back or recommend this store to anyone!

I had a great experience buying my wedding gown from Cristina's. They were very knowledgeable and helped me find a dress that was perfect for me in regards to my body type and my wedding. I was so pleased with my dress buying experience that I went back to buy my veil, headpiece, and earnings.

My experience with Cristina's was very sub-par and disappointing.

I came to Cristina's for my bridesmaid dresses with no intention of getting a wedding dress here. I came here initially with one bridesmaid (I had 5 total) who tried the dress on, was fitted from the sample in the racks, and we were on our way. Everything was fine. The disappointing stuff came later when the 4 other girls went there without me and were treated rudely, given sizes that were way off base, and told they couldn't try the sample on. I called the store and addressed the issue of those bridesmaids not being able to try on the sample - I was told by the employee (Maria maybe) that it was there and was accessible. Sooo why couldn't they have tried it on? She didn't have an answer for me. Then, they upped the sizes of all the girls because "it is better to have it too big than too small." As the daughter of a seamstress I know this is true. However, the way the dress was designed the hip measurement wasn't necessarily very important as the dress flared out at the hips. This came right from the sales woman who helped us when I visited there initially. Yet in the end, Cristina's was basing all measurements on the hips a complete contradiction to what they told me. So, when the dresses came in they were enormous on absolutely every girl. When I say enormous I mean huge. I know wedding dress/bridesmaid dress sizes are off from what a "normal" size is but these were just outrageous.

I had already told Cristina's that they wouldn't be doing the alterations on the dresses but I can safely say that all of my bridesmaids spent much more money on the alterations than on the actual dress. The quality of the dress was fine and the dye color came out great. In the end the dresses looked ok but it wasn't without many, many alterations that could have easily been prevented. I only wish now I had been more proactive and assertive about things and I know my bridesmaids wish the same.

I guess in general I was disappointed with the competence of the people at Cristina's. Every time I called to ask a question they could never find my file, didn't ever get in touch with me when the dresses were ordered etc. I was just expecting so much more especially since it is a darling little shop. I found the employees to be very detached from the whole bridal process, rude, and slightly snobby. I found it especially rude that they told my bridesmaids they couldn't try on the sample dress which still baffles me.

Stay away if you can!

Cristina’s has a nice selection of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, MOB dress and accessories. All of their samples are on racks for you to go through yourself. I had a great experience trying on gowns and found my bridal consultant, Maria, to be extremely helpful. Maria was the one that actually found my gown. She also gave me the idea of adding a sash and a broach. Cristina’s offers 10% off your entire purchase if you buy your gown on your first visit. I had my alterations done at Cristina’s too and I definitely ended up paying a lot more in alterations than if I decided to go with an independent seamstress. The gown fit me perfectly in the end, but the bustle was super complicated. My mother and 2 other people had a hard time figuring it out, so we ended up running way behind schedule the rest of the evening.

They gave me a better deal than Madeleine's in Portsmouth. Their seamstress Maria was wonderful and they steamed my dress right then and there when I asked, so I wouldn't have to drive back again and pick it up.

I was an out of town bride buying a dress in Massachusetts for a Maryland wedding. I was very concerned about getting the dress in time and the staff at Cristina’s made it happen!

I did have some issues with the dress and all were handled in time for the wedding. My mom and I had very specific requirements for my bridal gown and were able to find the perfect Casa Blanca gown. Nancy worked with us to find the dress and was pleasant and kind without being pushy. She listened to our concerns and price range and made sure we were looking at dresses that best fit my needs. We ordered the dress very close to the designer’s deadline and Steve (the owner) made sure to call me as soon as the dress arrived so I could schedule my travel to come up for the fittings.

I ended up needing four fittings for my gown. Maria was the seamstress who worked on my dress and she was a miracle worker. I have to admit that needing the four fittings was frustrating, but Cristina’s staff made sure that the dress was perfect, that it fit right and was comfortable. I am indebted to them for their perseverance. When the dress arrived it was too long and I had long just enough weight to make us all worry that it would fall down. Maria added straps (at my father’s request!), fixed the hem and created a bustle that made the dress even more beautiful. Maria even added an inner belt to make sure the dress would stay up at the last minute. Everyone was thrilled with the outcome.

I’m not a bride with tons of knowledge about what I wanted in a veil. I completely relied on Steve and Nancy to not only choose the veil, but chose the length and make sure it arrived on time. Incredible service once again and it was perfect.

Getting the dress and veil down to Maryland was more stressful than I anticipated, but Steve and everyone at Cristina’s wrapped the dress and told me exactly how to do it. When I called a few days before my wedding asking for advice about wrinkling and how to handle the dress Steve was patient and helpful. I am so thankful for everyone at Cristina’s and I would highly recommend their services. I plan on asking them to preserve my and my sister’s dresses in the near future.

I just got married on July 5th, and bought everything at Cristina's; wedding gown, veil, shoes and bridesmaid dresses. Everything was perfect, I highly reccommend Cristina's. The salespeople are so helpful and are not pushy at all, (like some other bridal stores in the area.) My salesperson was Mary and she picked out my gown for me, she was great. I also brought my dress back after the wedding because they offer preservation! I had a wonderful experience at Cristina's!

I purchased my wedding dress, veil, and accessories (hair pins, brooch) from Cristina's and enjoyed the process from beginning to end. I went to several other stores where I didn't feel nearly as comfortable as I did at Cristina's. I worked with Nancy, who is extremely down to earth and honest and immediately knew what I was looking for and found a dresss for me that could not have been more perfect. She also helped me accessorize so as to make it unique to my style and personality. The dress came in right on schedule and I was very happy with the alteration process. Everyone at Cristina's was a pleasure to work with and very professional. I whole heartedly recommend them to other brides.

Maria is fabulous and has a great eye to help you find the right dress. I also bought my shoes here as they have a fairly large selection of shoes.

I purchased: Jim Hjelm dress; Paris crystal headpiece; a custom veil (worked with the veil woman to select the color, trim, material, length, fullness and style & colors of scattered crystals); Dyeables shoes - dyed to match my blush pink dress).

Also, my bridesmaids and jr. bridesmaid got their dresses here for 15% off - a perk of purchasing your dress and ordering their dresses here. My mother bought her Mother of the Bride dress here, and her Mother of the Groom dress for my brother's upcoming wedding.

The consultant I worked with actually picked out the gown I wore! When I went for my first fitting there was a grease stain on the dress and it had been measured incorrectly but they were quick to resolve the issues. (Unfortunately I wore a lower heel, but it all worked out>) We also bought the bridesmaid gowns here because they offer a discount. Great selection of gowns & bridesmaid dresses. The staff was wonderful and very easy to work with.

Cristina's was okay. They had a nice variety of gowns at various prices. The staff was a bit underwhelming in their professionalism. I heard them making comments about customers within earshot. I was between two dresses that I loved, one of which had a mocha colored sash which I was nervous about trying to match to other wedding items. I later learned that the sash was available in many colors, but the saleswoman never mentioned it and I bought the dress without the sash.
My dress took longer than they had told me to come in, which was nerve-wracking since we were scheduled to move out of state prior to the wedding. My phone calls to inquire about delivery were handled very rudely. Bottom line: go somewhere else.
