The food at our reception (Centerplate at the Indy Zoo) was wonderful. We had a buffet and all the food tasted great (which isn't always the case with buffets). The wait staff was great and made sure no one was hungry or thirsty. They definately went above and beyond to make our event special.

The minimums were a little high, but for a large wedding you would have not problem meeting these. With wedding of about 75, we had to add a few extras to meet the Friday night minimum. However, Beth and Matt did a great job of working with us during the final few days to make the wedding and reception unforgettable!

My daughter's wedding was at White River Gardens in June 2010. We worked with Amber who was great and responsive when I talked to her re: my complaints BUT that didn't change the fact that they ran out of food during the reception BEFORE everyone had even gotten served. There was also a delay early on in the reception when they ran out of white wine and had to restock. The food was good but I didn't think that we got very much re: choices for the amount that it cost. I've had other functions catered and so I do have some experience for comparison.

I don't think it is a good idea for any venue to have only once choice re: caterers.

Overall, the wedding and reception were great. It is a wonderful place but I was very disappointed with the meal. I do give Amber credit for responding quickly to my concerns the following week and she did discount the invoice (still waiting for the check though).

We had a wonderful experience with this caterer. The food was awesome, and the service was absolutely AMAZING! They made us feel like royalty with how we were treated by the serving staff. The aim to please. I really enjoyed working with Angie Harter and Centerplate.

We couldn't have asked for anything more from Centerplate Catering at the Indianapolis Zoo! Amber Gettum went above and beyond to make my daughter's wedding reception more spectacular than we ever imagined. Amber was so professional, accessible, extremely knowledgeable, as well as kind and caring. She met with us on numerous occasions, answering all of our questions and concerns. She had every detail covered. No stone was left unturned. The setup, the dinner, drinks, you name it ~ everything that was supposed to be done, was done. Amber even stepped in to help in areas that weren't her responsibility. I am so, so grateful to Amber and for all her help in giving my daughter an amazing wedding reception. 4 days later we are still receiving phone calls on how perfect everything was. Thank you so much, Amber and Centerplate!!

Centerplate at the Indianapolis Zoo did a fabulous job with my wedding reception. The food was delicious and the staff was great. Amber and her staff went above and beyond what we expected. Amber was always ready to help us out and answer any questions we may have had. The reception ran smoothly thanks to there help.

Centerplate is the exclusive catering company for the Indiana State Museum and I know my parents were apprehensive but Kelly and the rest of her staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Our food was delicious and everything went off without a hitch. I was very happy with our event and the quality of everything was amazing. I highly recommend Centerplate for anyone having an upscale event.
