  10/10 would recommend!

  Cappy was a pleasure to work with from the very first interaction I had with her. She is full of joy and excitement about her work and it really comes through. We are extremely happy with both the engagement photos and our wedding photos—especially the photos of our reception. She captured the joy and excitement of the day so incredibly well. Looking through the albums allowed us to relive the day together and gave us so many fun snaps of our guests enjoying the party. Neither of us are comfortable in front of a camera, but she somehow managed to help us relax and enjoy the experience, making the pictures even more beautiful. Cappy was there for every important moment of our day without being overwhelming. We all laughed with her during the posed shots of our family and bridal party and she managed to somehow work her way around the dance floor seamlessly to get the most amazing pictures of the party. Being able to see these and share them with family and friends has brought us so much joy and laughter. Cappy is incredibly talented, fun, and easy to work with—zero drama and all smiles. She was on time with everything, including the turnaround of the albums. She brought a second photographer with her to our wedding, Teresa, who was also amazing and they made a GREAT team. We would recommend her work to anyone!

  Cappy was a pleasure to work with! She engaged the whole wedding party and had a great sense of humor throughout the day.

  Wow! Stunning Photos!

  Cappy Hotchkiss Photography was recommended to us from close family, and after our initial conversation with Cappy and reviewing her fabulous work we knew she was a great fit for us. Cappy promptly responded to our emails and questions, and spent time with us before the wedding discussing timelines, portraits and family dynamics. She was such an integral part of our special day and we cannot thank her enough! From the beginning, Cappy and her assistant made us feel comfortable, they were directive and made sure we were on schedule, and truly captured the most beautiful pictures of the day. Many of our family and friends have been blown away by the gorgeous photos -- we feel so lucky. Cappy is extremely talented and was such a pleasure to work with.

  We love Cappy!

  Amazing! So fun!

  Cappy shot our September 2018 wedding and we could not have been happier! She made sure to get all portraits that we requested while also getting a ton of candids. She was so fun and great with kids (she got so many cute ones of my niece)!!! We would absolutely recommend her to anyone for their wedding.

  Cappy agreed to meet us when we called her for a last minute meeting in Kingston. We are so happy that we found her and that she was able to accomodate us! Cappy was both an outstanding photographer and an excellent person to spend time with. She made everything simple and fun. Our family, friends and guests loved her. I had so much fun during the posed pictures and loved her presence throughout the event. We loved all of our pictures and found that they represented us and our families and friends very well. She also had beautiful, creative photo ideas. We could not imagine a better choice.

  Cappy was absolutely amazing. We planned a destination wedding to NY and was one of the recommendations made by the manager from our wedding venue. I think what drew my attention to Cappy first was her pretty business card and portfolio:). On the day of our wedding, we were running behind and Cappy ensured that we obtained the desired "posed" photos and kept moving us along. She was so personable and made everyone comfortable. Guest commented on how delightful Cappy and her assistant were. She was very easy to work with and quick to respond to emails. I also loved that she is a documentary photographer. Overall, we highly recommend Cappy. She was such a delight.

  Finding the ideal wedding photographer can certainly be a daunting task - at least it felt that way for us. It's one of those decisions that you REALLY want to get right; as once your big day has passed all you have left are those photos. I first noticed Cappy's exquisite photography in Brides magazine and was so impressed that I immediately marked the article never thinking that I would be fortunate enough to work with her. That wedding actually took place in the same location as ours - Bridgehampton, NY. Could it be a sign that we were meant to be? Yes!! I was introduced to the miraculous Cappy a second time when our Wedding Coordinator (see my review for The Wedding Sitter) listed her on a preferred vendor list. After researching online into the wee hours & spending multiple lunch breaks on the phone with different photographers, the wedding Gods finally had mercy on me & brought Cappy & I together.
  
  Please do yourself a favor & check out Cappy's website ASAP! Her work is stunning & truly captures the essense of each unique couple & event. She is a true artist & so she dedicates her entire being into her work (i.e., YOUR wedding day). Writing about the experience is bringing tears to my eyes because I am so deeply grateful. She used digital, REAL film & a very cool vintage camera! Her photographs have depth & feeling much like Cappy herself. She is an extraordinary woman and very fun to work with. We felt comfortable with her right away. Now move quickly because Cappy is published in all the fab wedding rags & you'll be a lucky bride if she's available. Step back & let her work her magic & make all your wedding dreams come true. :)

Whatever you want she will do everything to make it happen! "You want pictures outside, in the freezing cold with snow, no problem". Her pictures are to die for and we are so happy with them. We have gotten so many comments from friends and family stating "These should be in a wedding magazine". If you want pictures that are timeless and classy then Cappy is your girl!

  Cappy was a pleasure to work with, and our photos are gorgeous. She used a variety of cameras, so we ended up with a great mix of new digital images and old vintage prints. She was easy going and fun to be with. We would highly recommend her.

  Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Cappy! Right from the start, we knew that deciding to work with her was one of the best decisions that we made. She completely understood our vision and was able to capture our day in the most beautiful way. From the engagement shoot to the wedding, she always made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Cappy took such incredible pictures of all the important moments on our day, yet, our favorite pictures were the small moments when we didn't even realize she was shooting. We strongly recommend working with Cappy and have her to thank for capturing our wedding day in the most magical way!

  In short, Cappy was every couples dream photographer.
  
  My husband was really focused on finding a vendor who could capture every special moment and turn it in to a work of art. After searching high and low from overseas (We are based in the UK), we found Cappy. Correspondence across the Atlantic commenced and we arranged to meet in NYC to have a chat and see how we got on; we loved her blog and portfolio but it seemed important to us that we 'clicked' too. In person, Cappy is warm, professional and clearly extremely competent at what she does. We spent a lot of time going over our thoughts for the big day and discussing the various types of films and cameras to be used.
  
  On our wedding day, Cappy was prompt and perfect. She spent the whole day making sure that nothing was missed and that we had a complete and stunning photographic account of what happened. We quickly received all of our photos presented beautifully and digital copies too.
  
  The quality of the photographs were beyond anything we'd expected and truly look like something from a magazine. We will cherish them forever and are indebted to Cappy for all of her hard work.

  We absolutely loved working w Cappy. She's fun, creative, and made us and our family feel at ease while being photographed. She takes her craft seriously and produces beautiful results.

  My fiance and I couldn't be happier with Cappy's photographic expertise. She was incredibly easy to work with and professional throughout. She truly cares about you and the entire event, which shone through in the exquisite photographs. My fiance and I had some traditional group posed photos with friends/family, including just him and I alone, and the rest were candid: exactly what we wanted. Cappy knows exactly what you are looking for in photographs without you having to say a word. She truly makes you feel special, without being over the top gushy. She uses both digital and film cameras which made for gorgeous, authentic photos. We would recommend her to any of our friends soon to be married.

  Cappy was the photographer for our August 6, 2011 wedding. From the
  very beginning when we first contacted and booked the date with Cappy,
  she was prompt in her communications, professional, and warm. She was
  primarily concerned with ensuring we got the photographs we dreamed of
  and impressed us all along the way. Cappy is more than just a
  technician with a camera, she has a true artist's eye, sense of
  perspective, color, framing, and the dramatic! We looked at portfolios
  of several potential photographers and were continually disappointed
  with the casual feel of most wedding photographers photos. My husband
  and I wanted gallery quality photos that we could cherish for years to
  come and that wouldn't look like they were taken by just anyone with a
  digital point and shoot camera. When we saw Cappy's work we knew she
  was it! Her portfolio is full of beautiful, unique images that tell a
  story. She is able to capture relationships, emotion, and time. When
  we received our photos in the mail from Cappy, we were just amazed and
  overjoyed. In addition to producing a phenomenal product, Cappy was a
  pleasure to have at the wedding and worked with guests and the wedding
  party with fun and humor. She was prompt, polite, didn't miss a moment
  and we really could not have been happier with her work. On our
  wedding day it rained and Cappy was persistent and resourceful in
  figuring out how to still capture the photos we really wanted. Her
  first priority was making sure she got the best photos and she was
  able to do this with grace and diplomatically worked with the Inn
  owner to arrange the necessary movement of people to make it all
  happen. I felt like at that moment she was my best advocate as I was
  feeling overwhelmed and would have just gone along with whatever
  anyone told me to do. Cappy had the beauty of our day as a priority
  and I am grateful for that! She is a true professional and a true
  artist.

  Cappy was SO easy to work with and our pictures were incredibly beautiful and poignant. She got exactly what we wanted/needed. She and her assistant were almost totally in the background, so I was amazed at how intimate the photos were. No one felt like she or the assistant were in anyone's way. Cappy is so nice and thoughtful and funny, it was a joy just having her around. She's so experienced, so she had great advice! I loved that Cappy shot on both film and digital and used an assortment of different cameras, filters and techniques. Cappy was totally flexible! I loved that we didn't have to buy a package and just paid her by the hour. I was so happy to get all of the pictures at the end and be able to customize albums myself for everyone in our family. I have already recommended Cappy to all of my friends getting married...I loved her!!!!!!!

  Cappy was AMAZING and I cannot imagine what our wedding would have been like without her... she is professional, creative, funny and a vivacious and lovely addition to a wedding gathering. I'm only disappointed I don't get to see her anymore! I would recommend her to anyone looking for the best - she made it a truly dynamic and memorable day for us.
