I'm hoping this is the right Cakes by Jen, and if so, what a GREAT cake!! Jen worked with us to come up with the perfect design and perfect blend of flavors for our fall themed wedding! Can you say APPLE PIE FILLING?!?! It was great and I'd recommend her to anyone!

Jennifer made us the perfect wedding cake and was very willing to work within my rather low budget.
She does do tastings, and for the tasting she brought us EVERY flavor of filling and cake that we wanted to taste - absolutely no limit there as she wanted us to choose one we'd be really happy with. We chose the cookies n cream filling with vanilla cake covered in a buttercream frosting. To this day, we don't know what she puts in her frosting, but it is incredible. I'm really picky about cakes, especially since I've never had good wedding cake and I really wanted a delicious wedding cake for my own wedding. I don't like frosting that tastes like butter or is too sweet - so when I tried Jennifer's, I was shocked. It was the perfect blend between a hint of sweetness and smooth, almost airy frosting. I couldn't stop eating it.

Most cake bakeries will freeze their cakes, defrost it a day before and then just decorate over it - hence why you get a somewhat stale-tasting cake. Not Jennifer. She makes her cakes from scratch so on your wedding day, you get only the freshest cake. And she doesn't charge you extra for piping another flower, or decoration onto your cake either. In fact, she really likes a good challenge.

She does all kinds of cake flavors (Vanilla, Chocolate, Marble, Lemon, Strawberry, Red Velvet, Carrot, or Spice) and fillings (Buttercream, Pastry Cream, Fruits, Cookies and Cream, Cream Cheese frosting) and makes a tastier fondant out of vanilla candy. Most fondant is made out of almond paste - which is disgusting, but her's is made from candy. She can also make up flavors if you have a special request. For the tasting, because I mentioned that the fiance liked coffee, she made a coffee flavored cake just for us - it was good, but just not as good as her cookies n cream.

Hire her. You will be so happy that you did.

Cakes by Jennifer was amazing! I could not have asked for a more professional cake vendor that was as equally creative as prompt and friendly. I would definitely recommend her and I wish her all the luck in the world with her future success with her incredible cakes. We LOVED our Nutella cake and so did EVERY one of our guests.

Jen was great to work with. She did all she could to make sure we had everything exactly as we wanted it. Her cake was everything we hoped it would be, moist, tasty and beautiful.
