Due to restrictions with our vendor they were one of two cake vendors we could choose from & were considered the best of the two options. They are very strict about their appointments. We drove over an hour & were 15 mins late & they refused to see us. They reluctantly agreed to reschedule us later in the day. Despite the stress, we enjoyed our consultation & selected our groom & wedding cakes.

The cakes were absolutely AMAZING & DELICIOUS!!! It was worth the stress & the money, but I still don't think it was worth the drive. The location of the shop is horrible, but the cakes are wonderful.

Gina was one of the easiest vendors to work with, the cakes were phenomenal. Really excellent,excellent value. They tasted amazing and were exactly what i wanted. Cannot recommend her highly enough!

Gina was really great to work with and very helpful. She designed the cake of our dreams and it turned out better than I had hoped for. Everyone at the wedding said it was gorgeous and delicious and I recommended her to all my friends.

Everyone loved the way the cakes tasted! My husband wanted an Aggie Ring Cake which we payed extra for and then the sugar ring ended up being smaller than I thought but no one else noticed.

We had intended to have a cake from Cakes by Gina after they were recommended to us. However, our consultation was so disastrous that we ended up going elsewhere.

The lady with whom we had our consultation did not seem to want to be there, nor did she seem particularly interested in helping us with what we wanted. The suggestions we made were met with a surly attitude, as though we were doing her a great disservice. When we discussed the groom's cake, my fiancé was told that there is no way he could have his design (based on a motorbike hero, nothing outrageous).

When it came to discussing the price, the estimates that came our way were astronomically above the price range we had been considering.

That said, the cakes we tasted were delicious, and the kitchen staff were delightful. Perhaps if the lady in question is avoided then this would be a better place to buy a cake, but we were utterly put off by how we were treated.

Cake looked and tasted great. Gina has a lot of experience doing any type of cake you need and can undoubtedly provide you the cake you want.

We did not get our grooms cake here as she was quoting us $350 for it. The groom got his custom cake at Kroger -- two cakes actually for $90 total -- and the Bride and guests liked Kroger's cake even more.

I cant say enough great things about Cakes By Gina. Not only were my cakes beautiful but taste great too. My husband and I designed both our cakes and she recreated them exactly. She did a complex 3-D stadium cake for my husband and it turned out better than we could have imagined. Gina and her staff were great to work with-very professional.

However order way in advance or you will miss out.

Both cakes were beautiful and taste just as good as they looked! I really dislike the taste of fondant and Gina was able to use buttercream icing (much better in taste) but it looked just as good and perfectly smooth as a fondant cake!

All I have to say about my cakes is oh my goodness. They looked beautiful and tasted great. I found Gina's in a magazine I saw the cake and had to have it. The cake tasted great at the cake tasting and she did a wonderful job getting the grooms cake taken care of. She made it off of a computer drawing that my husband sent her and it turned out just great.

Gina was great - worked with us & for every need that we had. The problem came on the wedding day! When the cake arrived they were very rude - said we should have been charged more for the delivery because they had a problem finding it. We were also told to leave the flowers to decorate the cake table because they wanted to decorate it themselves. When they dropped the cake off they just left, they did not decorate the table or even tell us that they were done. So, 30 minutes before the ceremony we were having the decorate the cake table with the flowers. Needless to say the cake was delicious, but the service day off was not acceptable!

Gina is amazing! At my consultation, Gina methodically asked me quesitons about what i wanted for a wedding cake. As i answered, she sketched my cake on graph paper. When the interview was over, she revealed the sketch and i instantly saw my cake. She then when through size and flavors helping me fit the cake into our budget.

Her cake is delicious, far better than any of the others in the Sugar Land area that I tried. Everyone who works at the bakery is extremely nice and helpful. They even offered to store the cake toppers (bridal and groom's cake) and the other supplies there at the bakery so that I didn't have to bring them over the week before the wedding.

The only problem with our wedding and groom's cake is that it was eaten so quickly at the reception that we didn't get any!

Absolutely perfect. I don't even like cake, and this was so delicious. Not to mention how beautiful. Also, my husband wasn't able to go to the tasting, so I had to describe a cake I thought he might like, and she came up with something perfect. her and her husband are extrememly nice. Very talented! I would highly recommend!!!
