ABSOLUTELY the BEST cake I ever tasted... and it looked FABULOUS! My consultation appointment was VERY informative and the designs we went decided on for both my cake and the groom's cake came out even better then I had envisioned! We received so many compliments and the staff that we worked with from consultation to delivery was AMAZING to work with, they were SO willing to meet and exceed our expectations! :)

Cake turned out exactly as planned. Looked beautiful and tasted great. I received many complimants. My mom doesn't like cake but she ate this one until it was gone.

I had two desires in my cake: taste and the look. I literally cut a picture from a magazine and said, "I want my cake to look like this." And they really did deliver! The taste was also spectacular. Most wedding cakes are too sweet, but Cakes by Gina has this great buttery sweetness that is rich, but not overpowering. Everyone loved the cake's taste, and like I said, the look was spot on. The only issue I had was responsiveness. Last minute I basically doubled the amount of cake I wanted (so everyone could have 1 slice chocolate, 1 slice white) and it was very difficult to get in touch with them to make the changes. However, once I did, everything was perfect and they were very apologetic about the communication difficulties. Although she's not cheap, I would highly recommend Gina for a baker.

Cakes by Gina was very willing to work with us and help us decide on flavor and decor of our wedding cake. We weren't sure what we wanted, yet we were still picky! Cakes by Gina delivered a gorgeous cake! Our wedding colors were fuschia and black. The fuschia on the cake was more of a purple than we had discussed, but no one noticed. We had also asked that the cake be pearalized, it wasn't. No big deal, we didn't even complain, the cake was perfect (when the lights were down)!

Their cakes are very delicious and they design them really pretty too. I recommend the Italian Cream flavor and the Pineapple. I had both and they were deeeelicious!

We had a bride and groom cake and Chris’ groom cake was quite different with the sour patch kids package as the outside. He was so excited about his idea and how everyone who knew him would understand the cake and laugh…and that they did. All I heard before the ceremony was “you have to tell me about this grooms cake”. The fondant work on it was great and the close up pictures I look at show so much detail from the package. We loved it. The bridal cake was beautiful and my father said “it does not even look real”. I did not eat any food at the reception because of nerves, but I sure ate the cake! We also got some to go boxes of cake and it was wonderful even a week afterwards. When people asked prior to the wedding “who is doing your cake” and we answered Cakes by Gina, everyone had wonderful things to say about their work.
Thank you so much for taking our cake vision and making it a reality. Not only did it look good, but it tasted even better!

Cakes by Gina makes beautiful cakes!! The uniqueness of their work is breathtaking. Not only do the cakes look amazing, but they taste amazing. My husband isn't a very big sweets person, but when we went to design our cake, we got to try any of the cakes we wanted to, and he tried ALL of them, and loved it! If you are looking for a cake, go to them! You will not be disappointed! :)

I am originally from New York, but had our wedding in Houston, TX on November 1, 2008. While I had the option of choosing from one of the greatest vendors in New York, I chose to go with Cakes By Gina because they simply are the best!!! The staff was there for us from day one and helped with both of our cakes...yes, we also went with a groom's cake which was uniquely created by them! The cakes were amazingly delicious and the presentation was beautiful!!! The traditional cake was a five tier cake; every other layer was tres leches and/or strawberry and the groom's cake was red velvet. All of our guests loved the cakes just as much, if not more than we did! Tom and Gina make an excellent team and were extremely instrumental in making our day very special and unforgettable! They even helped with the special order of our cake topper.

I had read great reviews about Gina and her cakes and they were all true. When we went for the cake tasting the cake was good, but the actuall wedding cake was even better! I had guests wanting to take cake home with them....this was the best cake and her prices are excellent.
