One thing that stands out to me: The ladies at The Cake Specialist were extremely kind and helpful.

When I placed the order for our wedding cake, I popped in unannounced - and I definitely caught one of the girls as she was about to head out. I felt horrible, but she helped me zip through the finalization (especially because my husband and I had discussed what we wanted beforehand), she helped me decide on a few minor details, and then I paid and that was that.

They do shaped cakes. I surprised my husband with a Corvette-shaped groom's cake and, while it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, i was still rather pleased because I could see all the hard work that went into the details. And as far as I can tell, shaping a cake into a car AND frosting it isn't the easiest thing in the world.
One time while I was in I saw them working on a cake with dolphins on top - beautiful.

Make sure to be very clear when you talk about prices. I had a small surprise when I paid for the rest of the cake, because I hadn't realized that they're closed on Sundays and that making a Sunday delivery would be more expensive than making a delivery during the rest of the week.

Our wedding cake was perfect! We had a four layer cake with 3 different flavors. We had chocolate with chocolate filling, pink champagne, and the almond with raspberry filling was to die for!
Our grooms cake wasn't quite what we were hoping for, but the picture we found of what we wanted online was no longer available when we went to look for it.
Love the Cake specialist, and I think we'll be getting all our special occasion cakes from them from now on.

This cake was so good! When we ate dessert at the buffet for the first night of our honeymoon we couldn't figure out why their cake sucked so bad...it was because we were spoiled by our amazing wedding cake!
The vendor was very responsive and worked with us very well. She let us take home 4 top-tier size cakes to taste and make our decision. We went with white/lemon filling + whipped frosting for the bride's cake (VERY GOOD!) and chocolate/raspberry filling + buttercream frosting for the groom's cake (just a sheet cake, also very good).
As far as the bride's cake design, I was expecting a bit more. I ordered one of the pictured cakes on the website (http://www.thecakespecialist.com/wed.html) but our cake didn't look as nice as the picture (much smaller bow) but the detailing was neat.
I would definitely recommend this vendor!

She was wonderful! I went in with a design I wanted and she had no problems putting it together. The price was moderate we had a little extra stuff on there but it still wasn't bad.

Cake Specialist was amazing. They have several flavors of cake and they are all delicious. Everyone was raving about how good my cake was. Also - we wrapped our topper the way she told us to and on our 1 year anniversary the cake still tasted great!!!!

The Pink champagne was the most delicious and moist cake in town!
