Gerry was really a great guy. We had a great time and all of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to. We spent a lot of time making a music list, and were kind of disappointed when most of the songs weren't played. But the songs that were played got a GREAT reaction. The shoe game was so much fun. I would recommend Gerry, especially upgrade to do uplighting! The lighting MADE the room!

Gerry was an excellent DJ. He had a great personality and really "got" the kind of music we were going for. The "shoe game" was hilarious for us and our guests.

The online planning form was simple to use and was really convenient. The only thing I would have changed is I wish that we would have had the chance to speak with him a bit more prior to the wedding, just to go over the details again. However, everything went very smoothly. He is a good judge of the way things should flow - even when we weren't really certain. He even correctly interpreted my "please, save-my-father-and-me-and-fade-the-song-out-early" signal during the father-daughter dance (Dad and I are shy).

We purchased the uplighting package and it was well worth it. It really made the space look fantastic and set the mood perfectly- it made the day all that much more special. So happy we went with Burning Spear- highly recommend.

I wish I could give a better review, because I had high hopes for them. Unfortunately, the communication the week before my wedding...didn't happen. I had to call the owner TWICE to get my DJ to contact me to finalize all of the information. I was told by the owner that I would have a different DJ then who showed up to my wedding. And he showed up an hour late, almost missing my ceremony. He asked me questions all night about which songs he should play. I couldn't believe how many times he asked me.

We had Travis and Larry as our DJs and they were awesome!! They played most of the guests requests. The only downfall was they didn't play a lot of the songs we requested, but that is fine because they kept everyone on the dance floor! Thanks again to Gerry (owner) for working with me and my "issues". haha :)

Our DJ for the event was Chris. He was the best DJ I've ever been acquainted with. He played everyone's requests and made the party jump till the last beat. The gobo, which we wanted, was not provided, but it was not his fault.

Gerry made our reception a GREAT one due to his DJ services and lighting. Almost EVERYONE was dancing! He did some great games and totally got the crowed involved. We had such a blast with Gerry and would recommend him to anybody!

Great lighting.. made the whole room look so great!!! Music was amazing, everyone danced all night, exactly what I wanted. Shoe game was great!

Larry did a wonderful job. Kept everything running on time and our guests really had a great time partying! We've heard from our guests that that was the best dancing at a wedding they've ever been to. This meant a lot to my groom and I as we love to dance and have a great time.

I would definitely recommend Burning Spear Entertainment! Leading up to our wedding, I loved the online planner that helped me to get all of our plans, song choices, and information organized. It really made the process so much easier and more convenient.

The gentlemen were very nice and professional at our wedding. They even brought lighting in our wedding colors that illuminated the walls and coordinated perfectly with our decorations. It really added a nice touch to our venue and made the whole space just look fantastic!

I've never been to a wedding where they had games before, but it really added a personalized element and all of the guests really seemed to get into it and enjoy it. It got everyone involved and was just a lot fun. Between the games and our song choices, it really kept the entire celebration going and made it unforgettable :)

And finally, the guys took pictures during our ceremony and reception and captured some really great shots that we otherwise may not have gotten and they were available to us on Facebook so we could have them and share them with our friends and family. Very much appreciated!!

I would recommend Burning Spear Entertainment for any function. They did a fantastic performance (I can't say it was a 'job' because they truly enjoyed what they were doing and made the entire night a blast.) at my son and daughter-in-law's wedding in January 2011. Many guests of all ages danced the entire time they played. Burning Spear Entertainment did different 'games' than what the traditional wedding DJs often play, although we had some fun with a few traditional ones as well, but it felt more like a true celebration of their marriage rather than a 'wedding reception.' Many guests, after the wedding, asked my son and daughter-in-law if they could get married once a month! I highly recommend Burning Spear Entertainment for your upcoming events!
