RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN...AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I should have known by the pink and purple building that looks like it's out of a scary movie that my experience would be horrible. Initially, I received excellent customer service from the owner who helped me pick out my dress. Everyone was really accommodating. I bought my dress and got a small discount for paying for it in full instead of putting a deposit.
That was their trick. As long as they got their money, nothing else seemed to matter. I began to lose weight and wanted to try on the dress again. The sample size in the store was perfect when I first went in so I wanted to see how it fit after losing weight. Therefore, I made an appointment to look at the dress again. They called to confirm the appointment 2 days before and everything was a go. Then, I got a call the evening before my appointment telling me that I couldn't come in. They said that it was their busiest time (Sat afternoon) and that I could only come after 4 during the week. Basically, they already had my money and didn't care what I had to do after that. Well, I live an hour away and that wasn't possible with my schedule. After being told that I absolutely could not come in, I went anyway. THERE WASN'T ANYONE ELSE THERE!! But they basically refused to help me. My sister and other bridesmaid had to help me do everything! THEN...my dress came in and it was the wrong size. I fit the sample dress perfectly as I mentioned before but they said I measured for a size larger. I specifically told them not to order the size I measured for because I planned to lose weight, not gain weight. Well, they ordered my measured size anyway. The seamstress had already told me from the last time that she couldn't do anything if the dress was 3 sizes too big. Well, now...the dress is 3 sizes too big. It wouldn't have been if they ordered the size that I asked them to. But the worst part is that there were 6 people, including the owner, standing there and looking stupid. None of them apologized or said anything. But of course, I don't get my money back either. The owner even called the lady Linda that was helping me into the back room to speak to her for a minute, they both came back out, and he left the building. He didn't even acknowledge my issues. After all of this, I had to buy a new dress. My wedding is in 4 months. I hope it comes in before my wedding! SMH I HATE THIS PLACE!!!! RUN AWAY FROM IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

When I got a flyer in the mail for Bridal Town I was VERY excited to go there. The deals seemed really good and the specials seemed even better! The location it’s self is very nice but could really use some major updating and definitely cleaning inside and out. And since you have some walking to do between buildings some professional landscaping work too. In its prime I am sure it was a really nice place to visit :)
My consultant Linda was friendly but seemed to cock an attitude when we (me or my maid-of-honor) would ask some questions about dresses, tiaras, vails etc. Not sure if it was the way we asked the questions that caused her to give us annoyed answers or maybe it was her lack of knowledge; or it could've been a combo of both.... I don't know but I didn't like it. Here's an example of what I am talking about..... when I went for my first dress fitting I had asked about seeing some cover-ups/shawls- Linda basically told me that I wouldn’t be interested because 1: it would be difficult to find one to match my dress and 2: they were to expensive and the price would turn me off blah blah blah. I thought that was VERY rude of her to say to ME when I was willing to spend money on one. Regardless if they were expensive or not at least show me the items and let me make my own decision. I did however have the privilege on meeting the owner. He was SUPER friendly, kind and understanding. He personally helped me pick out my dress which was really nice of him. He took the time to explain the deals going on and helped Linda write up my order. The seamstress was also friendly and seemed very happy to help me with my alterations. Between the time I purchased the dress and my fitting I had lost a lot of weight so the dress it's self had to be taken in about 10 inches. The seamstress didn't seemed phase by it but did warn me not to lose anymore weight between that fitting and my final fitting. One of the things I didn’t like about the atlerations was the quality of them. The bustle hooks were huge and very visible on my sides; and then the hooks themselves didn’t even hold my train during the reception so I ended up carrying my dress most of the night! That was very annoying and also caused a lot of my guest to step on dress and even caused a tear on it. :( Overall Bridal Town is ok, if you live close to them then I would suggest you check them out but if you're like me with an hour drive then I would suggest to look for a bridal shop closer to home.... sorry bridal town :-\ BUT hey I did receive a lot of compliments on my dress so yay!!! ;)

I wish I would have read these before I went to Bridaltown. My wedding is November 11th, leaving on November 3rd as it is in my hometown...and my dress is still not in. I ordered it in May, and was told it would be in at the end of August, early September, so made an appointment with alterations for September 20th(since I paid in advance $400 for them), not to mention the extra $50 they charge because you are plus-sized which should already be incorporated into the dress price, well, no one called to tell me my dress wasn't in, I had to call and speak with several people, and was told it would be in the following week, so made an appointment for today....guess what, my dress isn't here....and no one called me, I had to call them...and so now, I have a call in waiting for Bill Titze to call me back on Monday....he comes in around 11am, I was told. Save yourself the anxiety....go somewhere else....I am starting to regret going there! The only redeeming quality is the salesperson who helped me pick my dress, Catherine...BUYER BEWARE!

Don't let the look of the building fool you, I had driven by for many many years and when it was finally my turn My Mother really wanted to try on dresses....we were there for 4 hours (very unusual because the appointment behind me canceled). Phyllis picked out the perfect dress for me and I got it 50% off along with my veil. My dress came in within a month and they stored it for me which was a bonus to me. My veil didn't come until a few days before the wedding (and the owner did call me to tell me it was in as they told me he would) but I really didn't need any alternations or anything on it and they let me pick up both just before the wedding so we didn't have to store them or worry about them wrinkling. My dress was a little big and I had to go to 3 fittings but it was well worth it..I got so many compliment on my dress especially from my husband the most important person. Don't let the building fool you or some of the other comments this place is worth a look.

Find someplace else to do business - any place but here. I don't know how they have managed to stay in business. They do NOT abide by their contracts, but they will require you to. They violate the state consumer laws and if challenged will tell you, "Just have your lawyer contact their lawyer." You REALLY don't want to do business with these people.

I was not pleased with my bridesmaids gowns here. The pickup on there gowns was not how i expected it to be. There color swatches came out totally different on the gowns when they came back. They advertise that all there gowns are half off which they were but there alterations pricing was to the roof. I was pleased with my gown and the price but however i suggest that you get alterations done some where else.

My cousin got her dress at Bridaltown a few years back, so when it was my turn to search for dresses, this was the first place we went. We worked with Phyllis and found a beautiful dress I bought right off the rack for 50% off the original price. I feel that the selection was very limited, as I wasn't able to try on any of the trendy dresses (3d floral, high-waisted, etc.), but I found the perfect dress regardless. It just would've been nice to be able to at least try them! We were not pressured to pay for alterations when we bought the dress as previous reviewers have said, but we did use their seamstress. She was great except she didn't seem really receptive to what I wanted my bustle to be and basically told me it was one way or nothing. Other than that, everything came out beautifully and everyone loved my dress- especially my hubby!

I got my wedding dress at BridalTown, and although the lady who helped me was fabulous and my dress was gorgeous, we had a lot of problems. I was told my dress would come in in November. Mid November, we had not heard anything so we started to call to see when it would be in. They gave us the run-around saying only the owner knows that information and he won't be in until Saturday. He was to call us back, and we never received a phone call. I can think of countless times that I called and never got an answer. Finally, we were told my dress was shipped in December and would be in within a week. Everything else went fine, with the fittings and the dress worked wonderfully. The management there is poor and something needs to change!

There are so many poor reviews of this place circulating on the Internet. I only wish I had read these reviews before shopping at this store. I am giving 1 star on quality of service because when I initially shopped for my dress, I dealt with a lovely salesperson named Catherine. She was warm, knowledgeable and patient. This is where any positive aspect of this vendor ends. I hope my story warns other brides to stay away from this place and avoid stress and tears. Here it goes:
When I purchased my dress, the store required that I pay in full for the dress, pressing, and alterations. They also agreed to spot clean. I thought this was odd since the alterations had not been done yet, but I was so happy to finally find a dress that I agreed to this dumb move. When I went back to try my dress on, supposedly after the pressing and alterations had been completed, I was shocked to find that NOTHING had been done. I mean NOTHING. The dress was a wrinkled mess, there were NEW stains on the garment (which makes me wonder if they made my dress the floor model and have me the crappy one), and NO alterations were done. When I purchased the dress a smaller size fit me perfectly, but the seamstress convinced me to buy the larger size so that better contouring could be achieved in the fitting process. I believe that they do this so that you are forced to pay for alterations. Anyway, the dress was huge on me. The seamstress tried to convince me that I lost weight. Yes ladies, did you know that you can lose 5 inches from your waist in a little over a month, while remaining the same weight and having all of your other clothes fit? Amazing, huh? Anyway, they refused to address anything. There was a brown line down the front of the dress that was not there when I purchased it (thanks to the 'ole switcharoo I suspect). It was almost impossible to speak to the owner. Apparently he is the Wizard of Oz....nobody gets to see him! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! When we finally had the honor of speaking to the wizard aka Bill Titze, he wouldn't let us speak. He spoke loudly and was incredibly rude to my mother and sister who drove 2 hours to see me in my dress. He refused to even look at the dress and insisted that it was pressed and the alterations had been done. When we asked about the stains, he said, and I quote, "Well, you bought the dress off of the rack, so it's not like you spent a lot of money anyway." Wow. Just wow. I guess almost $600 is not much money to him, but it is to this bride. The amount of money spent should not impact customer service. The store refused to refund monies spent on alterations or to exchange the dress for the smaller size since the alterations were not done. The people here are rude and drove me to tears. I caution you all to stay away. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as the PA Bureau of Consumer affairs. I am lucky that I know a fantastic tailor who will help me out and avoid a wedding day nightmare. Best of luck to brides out there!

I tried on over 150 wedding dresses with no luck. Only an hour in BridalTown and I found the dress of my dreams - off the rack and 60% off the original price. They had great service.

My friend recommended me to this place after she bought her dress here. My mom, dad and I went and were very turned off by the outer appearance of the building however we still went in. We went into the one building to check in and then they took us over to the other building to try on dresses. I found one I liked but the dresses all seemed out of date, like the building. The neat part about the place was that it was very spacious and had a great viewing room.
I ended up not buying that first night because I felt really pressured by Gail and left really upset and bad. Numerous things upset me but I was upset also by the fact that we could not take a pic of me in the dress. I did this with each dress so I could see myself. Within a week, I called and made an appointment to go back but I asked for someone else to help me. The owner helped me along with another sales woman who is no longer there but was very nice. They even let me take pictures and said they didnt know why she said I couldn't. He found a different dress for me that he said was $300 and ended up being just under $1000 but I liked it so we bought it. We put a little more than half down even though they wanted the whole amount. Other places did not require full payment before the dress arrived so we asked him to honor this and he did without a problem. 7 months later and 2 months before the wedding I called to check the status and was informed that my dress would not be arriving. I was given a story about how a white dress came in but I wanted off white so they sent it back...and I was told my dress was no longer being made. I asked what they would do for me and was told that I could come in for my money or pick another dress. I was alarmed this was all they offered and not even a discount and then they offered the dress in white in a larger size for 1/2 off. My whole family and fiance was involved at this point, my fiance even stopped by on his way home from work and was only given the courtesy of speaking to the owner who was in his office, in the building. Not even the courtesy of speaking to him face to face. The next day I went to try on a few dresses and then got my money back. The owner never even talked to us and even had the nerve to drive off after we checked in with the girl at the front desk. I dont know if that was intentional but it felt that way.

I would never recommend this place, EVER! This was one of the worst experiences of my wedding planning. I bought my dress a whole year in advance for my wedding. My first time there seemed great. I found the dress I wanted easily and since it was black friday and what I had thought great sales I decided to buy it. They got me to include the alterations package for an additional $100 and they do all alterations. Well we also got my moms and my husbands moms dresses there as well. All seemed fine even though this place is about 45 minutes from my house. Well trying to order my bridesmaids, stepmoms or flower girls dresses was a nightmare so we went elsewhere. Then when my dress came in I called them ad told them I would be there in the morning to look at and try my dress on. When we got all the way up there, they told me whoever I spoke to never put it in the computer and my dress is in storage and I couldnt see it. I was pissed! They never offered anything. So finally seen my dress and noticed it was short. The dumb sales woman never measured so they made my dress short. I had to waer complete flats, not even flip flops or my feet would show! They never offered to order a new one or fix it in anyway. Went up there a few more times and finally took it home. When I put it on for my stepmom and sister we noticed that alterations were not finished and it was still way big on me. This was 4 days before the wedding. I was not driving 45 mins again so they could mess up again so I took it to another bridal shop. It cost me $265 to get the correct alterations done! Ashley's Bridal I would HIGHLY recommend. Last part is that at my reception we bustled it and it fell about 15 times. All the hooks for my bustle broke because they did not put enough on for how heavy my dress was. At one point they had 15 safety pins on my dress. After the wedding we have tried to get in contact with someone at bridaltown several times and have yet to hear back from them, that was October. They are crooks and I would highly suggest finding another place to get any bridal accessories.

WARNING!From the Husband (How to get your dresses from them)
I just wanted to warn everyone about this place before you even walk into this place. My wife was an ex employee of Bridaltown and even with her past work relationship with the current staff and owner, Mr. Bill Titze, we were given the same unbelievable and horrible customer service as everyone else. Only the alteration employee was thoughtful, helpful and actual was just as concerned about how poor the company is when it comes to it’s customers. It was not like this years ago, but apparently the owner and staff do not care anymore. Please do not make the mistake of going here and ruining one of the best times of your lives. It is not worth it. The couple, family, and friends are all very excited and looking forward to a very special occasion and with that does come some stress. If you would like to minimize the stress and enjoy this special time, then please do not go here. The added stress of waiting and waiting for the dresses to come in is not something a bride should have to go through. In fact the reviews are very accurate in not only the delays and the constant run arounds, but also when the do finally come in the chances that there is nothing wrong with the dresses is 50/50 at best. I would also suggest contacting the President and real owner, Mr. Warren T. Bittner (President) as well. Mr. Bill Titze is just his son-in law, so that is why he can care less about how he treats people. He can’t be fired, so he feels that he can speak to people anyway he wants to. The rudeness he displays to not only brides, but to the mothers, mother-in laws, and bridesmaids is unbelievable. It took everything in me not to walk into that store and drag that man out. I had to hold back because they had the dresses and the money for the dresses as well. They will NOT under any circumstance give you REFUND BACK!!! Please know this before you even start with this place. I too called ABC and they we calling me on my weekly basis, asking about the process of trying to get our bridesmaids dresses in. We keep getting the run around each week. I ended up calling the manufacturer of the dresses and told them what was going on. I wasn’t supposedly allowed to speak to them since they stated on their website that they do not deal directly with the customer and all concerns or questions need to be directed to the distributor. I told them I could not go back to them because of Bridaltown constant refusal to give us any answers to where the dresses were. I even asked Mr. Bill Titze if I could please get a tracking number so I know when the dresses leave the manufacturer’s site and are on there way to your store. He refused and said he had never been asked to provide that before and he was insulted and irate. He said since I am not the one wearing the dress that he doesn’t have to speak to me anymore and my conversation with him was over. I still can’t believe to this day that I did not drive up that place and drag that man outside. The only way this got resolved is because I pleaded with the manufacture to tell me when the dresses were shipped. I ending up finding out from the manufacture that they were at the store just sitting there. When I told the manufacture that I was in contact with ABC and when I asked them if they really wanted their name to be mention along with Bridaltown they called Bridaltown immediately. Of course once they called that morning, we received a call from Bridaltown that afternoon that the dresses are in. They do this ALL OF THE TIME. I am telling you do not mess around with this store. They have an “F” rating with BBB and numerous civil suits against them. If everyone keeps this up they will be out of business soon. If not, Bridaltown will run out of luck sometime and upset the wrong person and they will then go under. Either way I can’t see how this store is still in business and how they will remain in business. PLEASE STOP BUYING FROM THEM!!! Thank you.

While the building itself needs a makeover, there is simply no place with more gowns under one roof! My beautiful gown by Allure bridals was priced right at about $600 ($200 off list), with full alterations for $149. My sales person, Linda, looked at photos to help me narrow the selection. My seamstress Else was adorable, gracious, and skilled, and met me for 3 fittings to assure the perfect fit. I felt beautiful all day thanks to Bridaltown!

The gowns were beautiful, they had my size. I had to get a plus size, and I was able to try the dress on when I was there! Every other shop I would go to, never had any dresses in my size to try on. Bridaltown was where my mother got her wedding dress 24 years ago, and that's where I got my wedding dress 2 years ago, and that's where I hope my daughter will get her wedding dress in hopefully over 20 years :) She's only 10 months old right now :)
