When I first went to Bridal Gallery they were wonderful they were attentive and anything I wanted could be done. Great! They order my dress I go for my first fitting and the sales woman was so rushed and didn't care she told me my dress didn't fit and made it look to short because she did not do the proper adjustments. I left very upset..I called and spoke to another woman within minutes I had to owner calling me apologizing and wanted me to come in! I went back in everything was wonderful I was told I would have the owner for the following fittings...well I never saw her again! I went back for my alterations and I had a sales woman arguing with me about a bra for my dress (My dress had one built in already I wasn't going to wear another one). She argued with me left the room saying you could take it up with the seamstress but usually our bustier girls where bras! I went back after my alterations were done...my bussle was wrong and there was a crease in my dress that they refused to fix saying it was the way the dress is on my body...Needless to say a lot of my pictures by the end of the night have that crease!

While I think Yvonne's takes advantage of upsell opportunities, and makes themselves SEEM more exclusive than they are, the quality of service was the best of any dress shop I visited (and I visited MANY!) I had a difficult dress to fit, and I paid and arm and a leg for alterations, but the seamstress at Yvonnes spent many hours with me getting it just right. They were always reassuring, professional and helpful. Best bargain in the Albany area? No. Nice place to buy a dress where they will MAKE SURE it's right? Yes!

Yvonne was fantastic. She goes out of her way to ensure that her customers are satisfied. The dresses are beautiful and the dressing rooms are huge! You recieve a lot of attention and really feel like a bride. They managed to alter my dress to make it 10 sizes smaller because it was discontinued and only had a sample size which was way too big. The seemstress is a miracle worker! Bridal Gallery was by far the nicest place that I visited during my dress search.

Bridal Gallery by Yvonne was great! I was so pleased with my beautiful Maggie Soterro dress. The dress was strapless and a really wanted sleaves which their seamstress gladly put on for me. I had actually purchased extra fabric that matched my dress for her to make them out of. However at my first fitting I discovered in the shop some premade cap sleeves that I actually liked better. Since I had already paid $60 for a yard of the lace from my dress, Yvonne happily made the exchange and asked me only to pay the difference in price for the sleeves. My alterations were perfect as was the dress.

Bridal Gallery By Yvonne found me "my perfect dress" so I can't give them enough praise. Basically I told them what I was looking for, and they brought me the dress I have been dreaming of all my life. It was a bit expensive, particularly for the accessories, but the whole package came together perfectly. I wouldn't change a single thing about my outfit on my wedding day, so I think they did a fantastic job! As a bonus, Yvonne, the shop owner, was so very sweet and attentive. Not something you see too often.

The ladies at Yvonne's Gallery were great to work with! I went to just about every bridal shop in the Capital District and I felt the most special and welcomed at Yvonne's. Their dress selection is varied in price and style and the seamtresses are exceptionally skilled! I felt amazing in my gown!!!

I purchased my veil and shoes from Yvonne's. I had purchased my dress in NYC, and was just looking for some accessories. I came in with my mother and looked at the pieces she had. When the staff found out I had bought my dress elsewhere they graciously offered me to come back with the dress to do an accessories fitting! I was thrilled with the result and their professional courtesy to me! I did order a bracelet, but when Yvonne was having trouble with the manufacturer, she immediately called us to let us know of the problems, and offered a refund so I could find something else (this was 6 months before the wedding!) I really appreciated her being up front about the potential problem (unlike other bridal vendors in the area...please see my other reviews!).
My mother purchased her gown here as well as alterations and looked absolutely stunning!

The Bridal Gallery by Yvonne is by far the best place to go for your bridal gown! The service and professionalism was fantastic. I think the main reason the Bridal Gallery is the best place is simply because their store does not work on commission. Therefore, you get an relaxing experience that is no pressure. And if you need an honest opinion you can bet they will give it to you with no motives of their own.
They have these awesome private bridal suites that you get to work in to choose your gown. Also when you have any appointments to try your gown on you get to be in these rooms. It is far better then others stores itty bitty dressing rooms in front of a whole store full of people.
The alterations on my gown were perfect. They were very affordable and my dress had a custom fit and custom designed bustle just for my specific dress.
This is by far the best place to go for your wedding gown!!

My dress was beautiful and I didn't feel pressured to purchase a more expensive dress than I could afford. While I found most of the service outstanding, there were times when I felt the service on the phone could have been better. I was an out of town bride and alerted them to this when we purchased the dress. Several times on the phone when I was attempting to shedule fittings I was told they were only done on weekday afternoons. When I explained it would not be possible to do this and needed a Saturday appt I was treated with a little bit of attitude.... generally though I called back and spoke to Yvonne directly who would work with me to figure out a way for me to get in there on a weekend.
All in all the dress was perfect and I am sad I only got to where it that one time!

This was an amazing experience. Everything made me feel like a princess. I really enjoyed the experience and my dress was absolutley gorgeous. I never wnated to take it off. They were so helpful, it was great at Yvonne's.

The saleswomen do not work on commission so there are no pushy pandas as I like to call them. They have a great selection of dresses although they are brought to you while you wait in a private bridal suite. I thought this would bother me (no being able to look at the dresses myself) but when I was at other stores where you could do that, it was very overwhelming. If you bring pictures it will help the Yvonne's salesladies.

I have very mixed feelings about Yvonne's. I found my dress there and it was amazing-- they stayed within my budget and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. That first time I felt special, I was treated wonderfully-- it was all around great. I left recommending Yvonne's to everyone.
My dress came in about 6 months later. I went in to see it, and then for the first fitting, and then the final fitting. Every single one of those appointments my mom and I were made to wait 25 minutes or more (one time it was more than 40 minutes), and every single time we were treated rudely by the receptionist when we inquired about the wait. As an out of town bride I was always scheduling multiple appointments when I was in town-- I was very irritated that they were so disrespectful of our time. (I witnessed another bride and mother being treated the same way when they complained about the wait time). Once we did get in, we were made to feel like we should be rushing, like the consultant's time was being wasted. At my first fitting, I said I wanted to order shoes-- they were not ordered for me and I had to do that at the last minute. I felt like she was so concerned with rushing us out of there that she forgot to even write down that I wanted to order the shoes.
The seamstress did a great job, and every time we spoke to Yvonne herself she was wonderful. Our last visit to the shop was great-- everyone was friendly, and I felt like I did my first time there. My dress was altered perfectly and it looked beautiful.
I really want to be able to fully recommend Yvonne's-- I don't know if Yvonne is aware how badly customers are treated if a.) they've already bought the dress and b.) Yvonne isn't on site. I have heard two other brides complain about this same issue, so it's not just me. I hope Yvonne will make the situation better for future brides-- there is so much potential for a wonderful experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, mine was not so wonderful on the days between purchasing the dress and bringing it home.

First of all, I loved my dress!!! That part of my experience was great... and the owner is so sweet, a great woman to do business with. It was pricey but I was willing to spend more for the great dress and service. My only complaint is about their seamstress, she was very rude to my mom. My mom left crying and it kind of soured my experience with them. Though they did call her and rectify the situation with her, my call to them was never returned. Other then that, (and I am sure my situation was very rare) they were great and I loved both my dress and my bridesmaids dresses!

Yvonne's was great. They are easy to work with and I loved my dress. Even being an out of state bride, I didn't find it difficult at all to get in with them for apponintments.
