Dress & Attire
Although I loved a dress from David's, that dress was on the cover of their catalog that year, so I went in search of something a similar, but a little more unique. I found it at Bridal Collection. I purchased a dress off the rack, but there was only one of that dress in a few sizes. I was told it was made by a Nashville dressmaker and it was a limited run. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but I have yet to see any photos of anyone else in the same dress.
I was assisted by the sales ladies who were helpful but not pushy. They let me walk around and look without being bugged, and whenever I had questions they were quick to get answers. I had my dress altered by the store's seamstress and had no problems at all with the alterations. She was very nice, and very quick to do my fitting. The price was reasonable, and it was a very no-fuss experience, which is just what I wanted.

I was able to find just the right dresses for my bridesmaids at Bridal Collection at a great price. HOWEVER, my sister, who was only 13 at the time, and was a LITTLE on the heavy side, was my Maid of Honor. She had to have a few alterations made to her dress (and who doesn't???), so we decided to let the Bridal Collection's in-house seamstress do it. At one of her fittings, it just wasn't going well and the seamstress my sweet little 13-year-old sister that maybe she should lose some weight so her dress would fit her better! I was outraged. If the rest of my NINE bridesmaids hadn't already purchased and picked up their dresses, I would have pulled the plug on the whole order. We did let the management know about the situation, but I do not know whether anything was done about it.

I got a great deal on my dress. However, when it came time to get alterations, the seamstress, pricked her finger and got blood all over my dress and then was going to charge me $350 to alter it!
I never got all of the blood out, but did manage to find another seamtress that altered the dress to hide most of the spots.....
