I can not say enough good things about this place. It was so beautiful and it was me and my husbands first choice when looking for Wedding venues. Nancy the owner was such a pleasure to work with. We booked our venue 2 years before the ceremony and although it seemed so far away Nancy was always there to answer any questions and doubts I may have had along the way. This was the venue of my dreams and I know that it will be the venue of other brides dreams as well. Just remember less is more with this site. You don't need a whole lot of flowers as it is well lanscaped and maintained. Great location for pictures.

There are so many wonderful things to say about our experience with Brandywine Manor House, I'm not sure where to start!

The grounds are simply magical and were the perfect setting for our big day. We took all of our pictures on the property and had our ceremony in front of the pond. It was so perfect and I cried the whole way down the aisle because it was exactly what I had always imagined my wedding day to be!

We also loved the tent and the fact that it is a permanent structure with a carpeted floor which we did not see anywhere else we looked. The lighting package is great. The japanese lanterns and the starlights on the ceiling created a special ambiance and all of our guests were so impressed.

The most important reason to choose Brandywine though is the owner, Nancy, who you'll work with throughout your planning and on the big day. She was always willing to share money saving tips with us, to pass on neat ideas that other brides had used, and was geuninely interested in helping us make our day perfect.

She also posts pictures from every wedding on her blog which I happily borrowed ideas from. The other great thing about the blog/facebook is that we instantly had pictures to share from our wedding. Instead of waiting a few weeks for our photographer to finish his editing, we were able to send out a link to about 60 pictures from our big day the very next morning!

We were so happy with our venue choice and received many compliments on it from our guests. Highly recommend this venue!

Everything was beautiful... Better than I could have ever dreamed of. Nancy is amazing and very easy to work with. You can really make this place what YOU want it to be for your wedding.

We were so excited to have our wedding at BMH! Everything was perfect and we couldn't have chosen a better venue! Staff is all so friendly and helpful :) It was everything we hoped our wedding would be and more! We would definitely recommend this venue to others! Beautiful property and reception tent!

BMH is a very beautiful reception site nestled in Northern Chester County. If you love the outdoors, this site should be at the top of your list.

Brandywine Manor House is the most beautiful place to have an outdoor wedding! You have to check it out. Nancy is such a great vendor to work with. She really does make fairytales come true!
Because you do have to pay for separate vendors for catering, DJ, etc - it is a little pricey, but try to negotiate for some upgrades like lighting, etc, but I must say it was all worth it! Also, I suggest going w/ the preferred vendors since they have been there many times, which means they probably have worked together many times.

Overall I was thrilled with our choice and my guests keep telling me what a neat place it was! Nancy was great to work with and very responsive. The facilities and setup were fabulous! My only small issue was that for our rehearsal we thought someone from BMH would be there to tell us how they normally run the ceremony, etc. We had to hunt all around to find someone. I wasn't sure if this was my misunderstanding or just a mistake, so I would just suggest clarifying that someone will be there at your rehearsal time. Once we found someone, we got helpful info on the logistics of the day from start to end(I wouldn't expect a minister who comes there one time to know all that).

I just got married this past September and could not have asked for a more beautiful day! Our ceremony took place in a church, but we had our cocktail hour and reception at the Brandywine Manor House. Nancy is the wedding coordinator there and was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is very easy to talk to and is very good at responding to emails and such. We had no worries knowing that she was helping to coordinate our day. The grounds at BMH are breathtaking. The area is completely secluded, being surrounded by trees. It is very private. They have done a lot of renovations over the last few years and now have two gazebo's, two foot bridges, and a very pretty fountain. We held our cocktail hour on the terrace which was very nice and allowed our guests to really enjoy the gardens and view of the lake. The tent itself is hardly a tent. It even has glass doors! The liner in the tent is the best I've seen and really gives it an elegant feel as opposed to the typical outdoor wedding tents I've seen. We took advantage of the outdoor 'candlight walkway' package which is basically a bunch of candle-lit lanterns lining the walkways and some hanging in the trees. We also bought an uplighting package including the starlight. You can pick pretty much any color you want and they will light the tent that way... at night the tent looked amazing with the lighting coordinating with my wedding colors! The starlight looks like just that... starlight! Very pretty. We received lots of compliments from our guests on how awesome the venue was. We are so thrilled that we chose BMH. They did an incredible job. BMH allows you to choose your own caterer and other vendors, but Nancy did provide a list of many that they've worked with before and recommend. I highly recommend you look into BMH for your wedding!

Brandywine Manor House is the most beautiful outside venue you could hope for! It by far surpassed any dream I could have had of my wedding day! If you always dreamed of an outside wedding, this place is perfect! The grounds are breathtaking and astoundingly beautiful. Nancy is constantly updating it to make it even more beautiful and adding things that brides request would be helpful. Since the day we toured the place we knew it was the one we wanted, and we had visited 15-20 venues by then. It stands out that much! Nancy showed us around the place and she took the time to be very informative and answer all of our questions. She was so professional, it was amazing to me how many places we toured lacked professionalism. She is upbeat and it is obvious she loves what she does, and she is excellent at it. Every time I had a question leading up to the wedding she ALWAYS got back to me within 24 hours no matter what, which was not expected (especially some of those times I sent the emails) but it was very appreciated. I think her attention to detail is Eck-ceptional ;-) and it is no wonder she has such a loved venue. I absolutely LOVED the tent at night as well, the lighting turned out awesome!
My ONLY complaint is that the tent was very hot. There are fans in the tent but they were pointed at the ceiling, which did not help the dance floor! Please think about the weather when planning your event here, there was a nice breeze outside that night, but only one side of the tent opens (so that the table arrangements do not fall over) A lot of people did not dance because of how hot it was, and I was soaking wet by the end of the night!
My only other recommendation if you decide on this venue, since you choose all of your own vendors, it is not possible to delegate everything you want done between your DJ, florist, and caterer. I would highly recommend hiring a coordinator for that day, that is the only thing I would have done differently! Since all of my family were coming in from out of town, we had no help with family members for set up so we relied all on the vendors, and many details were missed...which did not change the outcome of the day, but of course it would have been more of a peace of mind if it had been done!!
The guests absolutely LOVED the place, and I heard over and over again how beautiful it was! Many of them saw the pictures of the place online before they came, but they said after they got there and saw the place the pictures do not do it justice! (which is true!)

Brandywine Manor House is a beautiful setting to have a wedding and reception. Not only will your pictures look amazing with the options of backgrounds outside. The inside pictures will look amazing also with the drapped ceiling and chandeliers. It was a pleasure working with Nancy and her team in creating a wedding to remember. Our reception at Brandywine Manor House was a dream come true. Peaceful and serene, classy but not overdone, beautiful and natural. Nancy Eck and her staff provided us with guidance from the beginning stages and then were there to make sure that everything went smoothly. Their gorgeous tent setting kept us safe from a thunderstorm and provided views of a pond, woods, and corn fields. The setting was just perfect and we were so happy with everything!

Brandywine Manor House is one of the most beautiful wedding venues that, in my opinion, Pennsylvania has to offer. If you live in or around the Philadelphia/Delaware County/Chester County area, this should be at the top of your list for venues to check out before making your final decision. You'll feel as though you've just stepped into a fairytale. It's that beautiful. I'm still hearing from loads of our guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever attended and how charming and beautiful Brandywine Manor House is! Take my word for it. You don't want to miss out on such a fine place to have your wedding!
In addition, I must say that working with Nancy Eck was wonderful. She is a delightful woman who maintains her professionalism while making you feel right at home in her company. She never waiting more than a day, if not just a few hours, if not just a few minutes, to get back to me which was fantastic! The tent looks magnificent on the day of our wedding! I could not have asked for a more picturesque location - can't say enough about this place - really!
