I called over 40 bridal shops within 150 miles of my home to find a very specific Eden gown and no one had a sample. When I called Bobbie's they did not have it. Several weeks later, Bobbie took it upon herself to call ME and tell me that they had the sample. I went in 2 days later and as soon as I walked in, Bobbie greeted me and said "You are here for Eden 2412 right?". Her memory and customer service is impeccable.

She immediately showed me to the dress and let me try it on. I was in love. My MOH was running late, but Bobbie let me try on the gown again when she arrived (and even gave me directions to help my MOH get there).

The prices are reasonable, but I did let Bobbie know that I had found the gown somewhat cheaper online. She explained that the online prices are lower because you don't get service (and they may be replicas). This made sense to me, but she was still willing to work with me.

She is very flexible and I was very impressed that she remembered me and the specific dress that I wanted to try on. I have ordered my dress, but have not had alterations done as of yet. Though, I dont plan on having anything done but a bustle. So far, I am VERY impressed. I felt very welcomed! Thanks Bobbie!

When searching for the perfect wedding gown, I came across a handful of dressmakers that were unique, with designs that were very hard to find (Maggie Sottero, Venus, Levkoff, Alexander, etc) On several of these individual websites, were links to Bobbies Bridal in Fairfax as a preferred vendor, and they could not have been more right. Bobbie provided personal and prompt attention, she had the gown I wanted to try on in stock, and while it wasn't the correct size, she did everything possible to help me realize the vision of the gown. Her ordering timelines, alteration timelines, and service were impeccable and flawless, with no surprises. If you are looking for a designer gown, one that is tailored and unique to you as a bride, then Bobbies is the place to go for upscale and personal service.

Loved my experience! I had already pretty much narrowed down what I wanted before I went in. I knew I wanted a Maggie Sottero gown, and had several styles in mind. I called Bobbie's and they confirmed that they had them in to try on and had them ready to go the day of my appointment. I'm not one for someone to be really in my face so Bobbie just stood back while I would discuss each dress with my mom and sister. It was stress free and totally the environment I was looking for! I couldn't be happier! Thank you Bobbie!

I visited Bobbie's twice during my dress search. The first time, her daughter helped me and the second time, Bobbie herself helped me. We searched through the racks together to find a style that was flattering on me. They were both very good about providing useful feedback regarding proper fit, etc. However, after I purchased my dress and went in to pick it up everything was all well and good until we discussed a few alterations. I wanted to make a few changes (removing the train and sewing a hem as well as tucking and securing a fold tighter on the back of the dress) and Bobbie made up a figure on the spot= $250. I told her that I'd probably take it somewhere else for alterations because that was a bit more than I was ready to pay. From that moment on, the customer service went out the window.

I asked her how much it would be just to fix the fold in the back and she replied that they would either do all the alterations or none of them (mind you, the alterations I wanted were all optional and none of them neccessary). She just turned into this big bully trying to intimidate me into paying her crazy high prices or risk having someone else ruin my dress. I asked her about steaming the dress and she said that she would not touch the dress again after someone else worked on it. I had to argue with her to have it steamed before I took it elsewhere for alterations (yes, it would need to be steamed again later but that was not the point). I also asked her about some earings that she had in her front showcase. She said they were sold as a set with a matching necklace. When I told her that I was only interested in the earings she made it clear that there were no exceptions. I had to suggest that she ask her supplier if there were any individual sets of earings that were similar that could be sold individually and she promised to look into it. When I came back to pick up my dress a week later, she had no further information and claimed that her supplier had not gotten back to her (based on her body language, I honestly doubt she ever tried to contact her supplier). She made it sound like they would find something similar if I wanted to place an order but who buys something without seeing so much as a picture of it? To this day, I have not heard from her and am not holding my breath.

Bottom line- Buyer Beware: They have a fair number of gowns to look at, they are helpful in searching and they give you privacy to actually get into each dress. The prices for the gowns are reasonable and the timing for when a dress will come in is fairly accurate (mine was actually early by a few weeks). However, if you are on a tight budget and don't want to go along with Bobbie's high prices for alterations, expect to get attitude and for the customer service to disappear.

Bobbie is amazing, she helped me and my bridesmaids with everything, from picking out the dresses, to alterations, everything. Her store is small which is nice because you have their attention. She was very prompt to let me know when my dress was in, when alterations were done, anything related to the dress. The selection at the store is amazing, many great designers.

The dress was beautiful. Alterations seemed expensive. Dress was not ready when I arrived for the second/final fitting and I had to wait while alterations were made.

I swore up and down that I wanted a simple dress, but the dress Bobbie found for me was elegant, beautiful and flattering -- and I never would have found it but for her! They were accommodating and helpful. My only suggestion is for those of you traveling to Fairfax from further away, be aware that getting there can be a little tough, so budget time accordingly.

Bobbie's was recommended by a colleague because of her service, and my colleague was right! She was great and her prices are reasonable. My dress was beautiful!

Bobbies Bridal was great! Bobbie was always very helpful and so sweet. We bought my dress, as well as all of the bridesmaids dresses, and jewelry there. The entire staff was very organized, and knew us all by name as soon as we would walk in. I would definitely recommend Bobbies Bridal to other brides!

Bobbie's bridal did an outstanding job! They ordered my dress for me and altered it...2 years before the event date. 2 years later it still fit perfectly! I took it back to them two weeks prior to the ceremony to have it steamed, and they had it ready for me well before my wedding day! They also dyed my shoes, which I had purchased elsewhere, and they matched perfectly. Great establishment!

I had a quite negative experience at Bobbie's. I was rushed throughout my two visits there, being told that I was interested in too many dresses (I wanted to try on about 10). I would understand this if the store was crowded, but it was empty. At my second visit, I found a couple dresses that I liked, and said I wanted to come back and show them to my mom. Bobbie told me that I was only permitted 2 visits to the store, and that I'd be charged on my next visit if I wanted to try anything on, even if I purchased a dress at that visit. While I truly was interested in these dresses, I did not encounter any similar policies at any other dress shops, and was never so strongly pressured to purchase a dress. I didn't feel like I could trust the store's owner, and am glad I didn't return after my second visit. (I found my dress at the now closed Lady Hamilton's in Arlington.) Since my visits, I've read several online review horror stories from brides who purchased dresses here, and so I'm quite glad I avoided patronizing the store.

Bobbie's was wonderful! I found both my gown, and my mother's dress there. Bobbie was friendly, and responsive when I called. My gown was delayed due to the blizzards, but she had it ready for me in plenty of time for my wedding day. I would highly recommend Bobbie's Boutique.

I had a very good experience at Bobbie's. First of all, I'd read horror stories about stores taking tags out of dresses, etc. This is not the case at Bobbie's. All the dresses have tags and the prices are prominently marked. It's a little self-service compared to some of the other stores I went to, but I'm a self-service kind of girl, and I liked that it helped my sister and me make rational decisions instead of getting pulled into a higher price point by a more intrusive saleswoman.
I only had a 5-month engagement, so by the time I actually went dress shopping, I was already behind schedule. I found one at Bobbie's that I absolutely loved and Bobbie overheard my sister and me discussing our timeline and solved the problem by suggesting I buy it off the rack. We were worried because it had a huge flower on it that we hated, but when I came back two weeks later, the flower had been removed and the dress was in perfect shape. I only had one fitting, which included adding straps on to a strapless dress, but everything came out perfectly, so I actually ended up having the dress ready-to-go more than two months ahead of schedule.
On a side note, I'm from DC and the store is very far out in Virginia. I was very late to every appointment I made with Bobbie and I never got even the slightest complaint. It would have made me feel a little better if she had complained, actually, but it's nice that she didn't!

After reading several of the reviews ahead of me, I am surprised at what I read in some of them. I guess I now understand the meaning behind a "Bridezilla".

I have nothing but glowing remarks for Bobbie and her staff. I had gone shopping at several other dress sites in the area and found them to be horribly rude and unappreciating of my business. When I walked into Bobbies, I had known ahead of time the designer I was interested in, and even had an idea of the gowns I wanted to try on. I printed out the dresses and brought them in with me. Within 10 minutes, Bobbie agreed with me on one of the dresses and we tried it on and I knew it was the one! WOW, it was my dream dress and at a price I was very comfortable with.

On a seperate occasion I brought all of the bridesmaids back and we narrowed down the choices to two dresses for them. We went with my favorite, but I wanted it in chocolate brown and the designer only made them in black. Lo and behold for only and extra small fee per dress, she was able to work something out and get them in the color that I wanted. I could not have been more pleased.

All of the bridesmaid dresses came in early, and they were all too long for my girls, but I had no problems with the alterations. People and brides have to understand that Bobbie is a businesswoman, and she runs her business very professionally. If she tells you she needs 6 weeks for alterations....don't push her, otherwise you jeopardize other brides who follow the rules. Just ask ahead of time and understand her expectations as a business owner when it comes to the timeframe of alterations.

I would highly recommend any bride to make Bobbies a stop along the way in the search for your bridal gown and/or bridesmaid dresses. Very professional and she made me feel like a princess!!

Bobbie's Bridal has beautiful gowns and dresses. I was very excited to find my dress! Bobbie was pleasant and helpful at the beginning. When it came time for the alterations, they were not done as nicely as we would have liked. Several things had to be redone and Bobbie was not eager to make things right. She tried to convinve us that everything was fine the way it is and didn't need anything else. I would have been much happier if she would have accepted that I wasn't happy and made the changes immediately.

I found my dress in only three tries at this little store and I could not have been happier with the quality of their dresses, their expert alterations and how easy they made everything. I was a pretty low key bride and this was only the second store that I went to with my mom and they helped me find exactly the style and price that I was looking for. It's not the most glamorous store in the world and it's certainly no Kleinfeld's but if you're looking for a quality dress with low fuss then this is definitely a place worth checking out.
