Blumz is creative and can put something together at a drop of a dime. They are willing to help out where ever they can. It was easy to plan the event with them - I worked with Rochelle and she is awesome!!! However, the when the flowers arrived at the Ceremony location, nothing was labeled and all the guys had on the wrong boutiners. The bouquets had flowers to match the boutiners and low and behold, nothing matched. Yes - this will bother me everytime I look at pictures for the rest of my life - but oh well. ~ only I know this was a messed up. Something as simple as this should have done especially for the money paid. Their prices are a bit high expecially for a bridal bouquet, set-up/take-down fees - challenge them on that. The reception was set up nicely and plenty of compliments were given. I'd recommend Blumz but with a list of things to watch out for.

Everyone at Blumz was great and the flowers were the best part of the wedding! They were high quality and my bridesmaid's bouquets lasted for several days without any wilting! My only regret is that I did not hire them for DOC!

Robbin and his team were just wonderful! He listened to exactly what i wanted and produced the most beautiful bouquets! Even better than what i had invisioned in my head! My girls were so happy w/ their bouquets as well!

Robbin Yelverton is a truly amazing florist- he not only is an incredible designer, he really becomes a friend. He was professional, flexible and compassionate. I have never met anyone who could so fully understand my vision: I literally brought in 15 different photos of bridal bouquets and he understood what I was asking for and gave me a bouquet one of my friends already copied because it was so gorgeous! He also is extremely easy to work with when it comes to budgeting. He found a way to turn my drab ceremony room into a decorated dream on a dime! I met with Robbin about 4 times and every time it was like being welcomed back by a friend- I had some close calls with my wedding/other vendors and Robbin was there for me and as a bride that is priceless. He is not just a fantastic vendor, he is a fantastic person and no one will work harder for you! I would highly reccomend him to any bride, event planner or person who needs some gorgeous flowers.

We got both our tuxes (9) and our wedding day flowers (bouts, corsages, and bouquets) from Blumz.
Tuxes: Overall, the tuxes weren't bad. My ring bearer's didn't fit him well, but he didn't go in after they came in to try it on so there was nothing Blumz could have done about that. One of the groomsmen actually ended up getting one correct sized shoe and one wrong one. I think they were able to go to the shop beforehand and get the right one, but it was a pain. As far as price goes, they were quite reasonable, especially with the discount we got for doing our flowers with them. The guys looked pretty sharp, so we were relatively pleased. The tux guy was really flexible about time, especially since most of our guys were working 9-5 schedules.
Flowers: Flowers weren't that important to me and being that we made all of our own centerpieces, all I really needed were the bouts, bouquets and corsages. Blumz worked well with my budget and the arrangements were pretty. A few of my white roses were already starting to brown around the edges when got the bouquet. On top of that, the girls had all pink tipped white bouquets and while they looked beautiful, the stems were kept long, so they were difficult to manage for the girls. I had also not bought tall enough vases to hold such long stems, so they kept falling out of the vases. Basically, make sure you're specific about the flowers so you can better prepare and be sure of what you are getting.

Blumz allowed us to pick up our flowers in our to save cost. We set our centerpieces up ourselves. The flowers were extremely beautiful. The flowers ended up being one of my most favorite details in our wedding. Gorgeous!!

The only criticisms I have is that we asked to reallocate $50 of our money to our ceremony flowers and that really didn't show. We ended up spending $100 on Queen's Anne lace. I'm not sure why this happened. We also came into the store to pay our bill and they couldn't find our bill. I even emailed before hand to make sure it was okay to come in for a payment. We waited for nearly half an hour and they never found our bill. They, onviously, need a new system so that there counter workers know what and where things are, and/or the correct questions to ask a customer so that they can be helped quickly.

When my mom and I started talking about flowers and florists for the wedding (since Steve had no idea and was happy to bow out of this part of planning), we knew we wanted to use Blumz, but were afraid we wouldn't be able to afford their fabulous designs. My dad and Steve only get their flowers for us from Blumz and they are always so unique, long lasting and just gorgeous. We spoke to another popular florist to get an idea of how much things cost and I left the meeting feeling under-whelmed. There was no collaboration, excitement, thinking out of a box. It was more, "We do this, pick something you like out of a book". Now, I love flowers. I love to garden, look at flowers, see new things. I wanted to work with someone who felt the same way. I didn't want cookie cutter flowers that people may have seen at 5 other weddings.

So we met with Robbin at Blumz since we have gotten to know him through the years of going to their stores downtown and in Ferndale. I showed Robbin some of my inspiration pics and he started rattling off ideas that would work for us...as well as working within our budget. My mom and I left that meeting giddy and estatic, wanting the wedding to be the next weekend. But, we had to wait over a year :). I think I had more meetings with Robbin than any other vendor, because I would see something I liked or maybe wanted to change my mind. Robbin dealt with my sometimes in-decisiveness and brought me back to what would really work best.

When I saw our bouquets the day of our wedding, I was in love. There were so many peonies in my bouqet and it was so lush and colorful. I was so anxious and excited to see the reception room I had been dreaming about for over a year finally come to life. And it complelely blew me away. Robbin and his team "Burned the midnight oil and lit a candle" to make our gorgeous centerpieces look top notch for our Mother's Day weekend wedding. My jaw hung open for about 10 minutes when I walked into the room. The room made me so happy and set the tone for the fun night that was ahead...and our fun and funky centerpieces allowed that to happen.

I can't say enough about Blumz and more specifically, Robbin. They are truly a great talent and really give their customers flowers that are above and beyond what you can imagine. They are so much fun to work with and really want to work with you to give you the look of your dreams on a budget you are comfortable with.

Blumz...by JR Designs did a good job on our flowers and rentals. There were a few issues the day of the wedding, but nothing major. All in all they were easy to work with and offered some great suggestions.

Brides Beware!!!!Came off as very professional, however my original designer had quit and no one informed me of this. I found out 2 months before my wedding. Turns out there were major mistakes in the proposal that did not show up on my copy. I also made the mistake of trusting the designers to put together my center pieces on my budget wich actually was quite generous, and I definatley got scewed over BIG time. The linens were pretty. I really loved working with Blumz - I worked with Carey and she was so great at matching the flowers to my vision, and did so much with a limited budget.

I'm not a flowery girl and much preferred to allocate more money to the food budget than the flowers, but at the same time, I wanted the decorations to look classy and beautiful. Jerome is wonderful... able to listen to my deion of what I imagined and able to execute it beautifully. I gave him a picture of a bridal bouquet with orchids that I wanted, and he replicated it perfectly. Definitely highly recommended.
