Bluemont is a lovely venue, and I’m glad we chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception there. After visiting a number of venues that seemed like wedding factories, Bluemont spoke to our individuality yet was clearly a well-organized business with established and proven procedures.

They assign you a “planner” and “day-of-coordinator,” which for us was two different people, though that’s not always the case. Having these duties split was not ideal. As we approached our date and had questions or wanted to confirm details, we had to keep both people in the loop. One was less responsive to emails. They occasionally gave us contradictory information.

They require you to use a specific caterer, Savoir Fare, so make sure you like their food before committing (although really, I can’t imagine anyone NOT liking it). Same thing with their wine: you have to use theirs so make sure you like it.

We had some trouble ironing out a reception timeline that we liked but accommodated the capabilities of the serving staff. At times I was baffled by their lack of flexibility on that matter, but we finally made a plan that everyone was on board with. There was also miscommunication about what lighting we would have, but they generally did well on our setup.

I think Bluemont was overpriced. They were at least always very clear what we were paying for; no hidden fees or surprises. For instance, having to pay something like $5 per chair to upgrade from cheap plastic white chairs to wood Chiavari chairs seemed a little absurd but we knew from the beginning. The required caterer was also expensive (at least the staffing), but they did an excellent job that justified the cost. The table captain was very attentive to us on the day. All in all, I’d say if you’re having a large wedding, it might be worth the money; maybe not if your wedding is smaller.

I am overall quite happy we held our wedding here. It was a special place with a lovely atmosphere.

Bluemont was the perfect venue for our wedding! After seeing tons of venues in MD and Virginia we just felt at home when we walked into Bluemont and were met by Debbie. The rustic but elegant feel of the Stable was exactly what we wanted, and we really loved that it came ready to go with small twinkle lights and white paper lanterns. The view from the ceremony site is breathtaking, and needs no enhancement. Beth, in charge of events at the stable and also assigned as our day-of-coordinator, was amazing! We were initially unsure as to whether we needed to hire a DOC from outside the venue, but Beth helped along the way, always answering our emails and turning all of our planning for the day into a reality. The wine is great (even guests from Napa agreed :)), the food from Savoir Fare was awesome and we had a perfect wedding day! The ONLY thing I can think of that they can do to improve is add a rolling coat rack with hangers (it was a bit chilly on our wedding day and guests ended up just putting coats on the backs of chairs – not a huge deal). The venue was also was super amenable to our slightly non-traditional way of doing things.

The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard was the best place to have our wedding. We love wine and were looking for wineries for our big day. Bluemont was the first place we visited in our search for the perfect place for our big day; we fell in love at first sight with the space and the views. We looked at several other wineries in the area; however, none compared to Bluemont. They offered exactly what we were looking for to have a hassle free wedding. We did not have to worry much about much except selecting the cake vendor, centerpieces and DJ. Everything else was smoothly coordinated with Beth and Jackie from Bluemont who were our event planner and day of coordinator, respectively. They were easy to work with and made the process a really enjoyable one. I would definetely recommend Bluemont Vineyard to hold your wedding!

Working with the staff at Bluemont Vineyard was wonderful! They provided a professional staff that worked with us meet all of our needs and wishes and made sure that our daughter's wedding was a special and memorable experience for all who attended. Thank you Bluemont Vineyard!

The actual event was spectacular- no complaints at all. It was the perfect day! The process leading up to the day was less than that at times. We often felt we were in a monopoly game and we could not pass "go" into the next phase of planning without them collecting 2000$. We felt left in the dark at times in the planning process.

We could not have picked a more beautiful setting for our wedding. The views were truly unparalleled, and the overall atmosphere was so calm and peaceful. The staff at Bluemont was great to work with (though we had a slight issue with our seating cards being properly placed the day of). In general, we were overjoyed to have both our ceremony and reception at Bluemont and we will be visiting for years to come.

Everything was great from start to finish. It was a wonderful experience getting married and having our reception at Bluemont.

The staff at Bluemont was tremendously helpful and laid back; definitely a breath of fresh air for a young bride. The view, food, hospitality and coordination were all superb!! One of the best things about having our wedding at Bluemont was the connection to all of the vendors they provided, from catering to flowers, music to photography - Bluemont provided a one-stop shop resource!!

Bluemont Vineyard was an ideal location for my wedding reception. The venue offered great views, and delicious catering from Savoir Fare. The wedding planner was very helpful and they were very flexible with allowing us to make it our own.

I want to rave about the wonderful venue of Bluemont Vineyard. They were easy to work with and very professional. The food was fabulous. Event went off without a hitch!!!

We fell in love with Bluemont the second we pulled up the hill, fell in love again the second we walked into the stable, and fell in love each and every time we were there! This venue is absolutely beautiful, our guests raved about it and told us it was one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL weddings they had ever been too :) The people are wonderful and easy to work with, the view is spectacular, and the wine is FABULOUS.... the perfect place for a wedding!

I'm so thrilled that we chose Bluemont for our wedding venue. My husband and I were visiting my parents in Fairfax during the Thanksgiving holiday and he proposed to me. So, the next day we went to Bluemont to celebrate and drink wine with the family. I asked the girl behind the counter if they had weddings and she said of course. We looked around and toured the place and looked at photos of past weddings. I looked to him and said - what do you think? He replied, I give it a 9 out of 10. I said - Ok, we will get married here. I didn't look at any other wedding venues and I am not impulsive! It was PERFECT!! The staff was so helpful and accommodating. Beth and Emily were extremely responsive to my many e-mails :) Planning a long distance wedding is hard - but they were so helpful. 99% of the wedding attendees were from out of town and everyone kept raving about the beautiful location and the venue. It was great for a fall wedding! The fall foliage was an awesome back drop for our day! Perfect day! Perfect everything!

I have nothing but good things to say about Bluemont Vineyard as a ceremony and reception location. The staff (specifically Debbie and Beth) was extremely professional, easy to work with, and responsive to all of my questions and concerns. As a venue, the Stable at Bluemont Vineyard is rustic and charming, and the view is unbelievable. My guests had nothing but fabulous things to say about the scenery. Something to note: Bluemont is about 20 mins from downtown Leesburg, so a bit of planning is necessary for day-of logisitcs (i.e getting ready, guest shuttles, etc.).

Our wedding at Bluemont Vineyards was lovely! We looked at a lot of vineyards before deciding and Bluemont was a PERFECT wedding reception location. The stables provides a rustic, country environment but is restored and comfortable (nice bathrooms, stone floor, french doors, and now a bride's room). Beth from Bluemont was extremely helpful and accommodating. They were going through some management changes (new caterer) during our wedding planning process and did their best to address all of my concerns in a timely manner. Beth did an incredible job with day-of coordination, remaining calm, problem solving (only minor things) and making sure that nothing was forgotten. We really appreciated her professionalism and assistance after firing our wedding planner. Our guests loved the venue and the view!

Their caterer, Celebrations Catering, did a great job. We have gotten many compliments on the food following the wedding.

The only inconvenience is that you have to buy the wines you like ahead of time in order to ensure they aren't sold out and store them yourself.

Bluemont Vineyard provided the perfect backdrop for our spring wedding!

As a location, Bluemont is stunning! It has a beautiful view and the Stable has an awesome rustic feel. A lot of places with a rustic feel can lack in other areas, but Bluemont is the full package. From the moment we saw it, we knew that Bluemont was the place we had to get married at. We had so many people tell us afterwards that it was a great venue and that the view was amazing.

The in-house caterer changed on us during our planning process, so that did cause a little confusion, but in the end, we were extremely satisfied with their services.

And then, there's Beth. We really loved working with Beth as our day-of coordinator. She was really organized, but not stress-inducingly so. She seemed genuinely excited for us and for our wedding plans, and she made everything run so smoothly on the day of our rehearsal and wedding. Her husband even drove 30 minutes from Leesburg to bring a staple gun to our rehearsal/set-up when the one that we had brought wasn't working well. She is just a genuinely nice person who is extremely good at what she does.

We were so pleased with our wedding at Bluemont Vineyard. Even though it is over an hour away from us, we are so glad that we decided to have our ceremony and reception there.
