We told Melanie that it was not a formal or traditional wedding and she immediately went to one book and showed us a trifold pocket invitation that we knew was perfect immediately! Melanie worked with us on the wording, how to design it, what graphics to use, how it would print and kept the appointment moving without pushing us. We were there 2 hours, but it was time well spent. It was the most unique invitation that we've ever seen and everyone commented on how different, elegant, but yet well expressed personalities. She was patient as she guided us through a myriad of questions that came up as we went along and offered incredible solutions to issues of design, etiquette, and positioning of enclosure cards and information. A font of knowledge and experience to draw from. Not sure how her prices compare because she was the first person we consulted and once we saw this invitation, we never looked at anything else. We may have been able to find them elsewhere, but her experience and guidance was priceless!

Melanie was such a great help to me. I planned my wedding by myself and had alot of questions on the proper way to go about certain situations. Melanie answered all my questions and took the time to explain things about wedding planning even if it had nothing to do with invitations. Our experience with Melanie was outstanding. Our initial contact occurred while she was on vacation, yet she responded to our inquiry within 24 hours. We had our initial consultation two days after her return to town, and things went smoothly and quickly from the beginning. One change that we requested after the contract date was handled without error and we received the order on the exact day proposed. We entered into the invitation ordering process fairly late in the game but Melanie's timeliness and capable suppliers enabled us to receive, process and mail the invitations in a very short turnaround time. The contract pricing was well below other printers.

Overall I loved my invitations, save the dates, informal thank you's and formal thank you cards from An Elegant Invite. The selection was great, the service was excellent, and the product was wonderful. melanie was the only vendor I found who did not blink an eye when I told her I needed the invites in two languages. Melanie was always very positive, and responsive and helped out through several changes of wording. We had some difficulties with the company sending out the right envelopes, and a typo that was on their end, and because of these issues it took longer for the invites to arrive then originally planned. This was a little distressiing for a bride, but Melanie made sure to get a discount as a result of the issues we dealt with. I would highly recommend her.

I found An Elegant Invite at a bridal show in Bethesda and met with them a few weeks later. They were fantastic, they had a ton of samples, offered great advice on how to narrow down the choices. We had them do "Save the Dates" and it worked out so well that we went back for invitations.
