Loved Scott! He put on the best of the best! We got compliments from our guests on what a wonderful DJ we had. He was extremely professional, polite, and enjoyable. His online list management of songs, requests and the reception were prefect and easy.

He helped do some off the wall things (combat boots for the garter, wearing bball jerseys on the introduction)...and went with the flow perfectly. The dance floor was never empty and Scott made sure of that!

Scott Hanna at American Entertainment did a really good job at our wedding reception. His website has really helpful worksheets for you to fill out all the details of your day and he follows your instructions exactly. I emailed him several times with questions and changes and he was very quick with his responses.

He kept the music flowing and everyone was out on the dance floor the entire time. When my mom and sister wanted to do a very short notice slide show he worked very hard to get it all set up with only a few minutes notice.

He has a great announcer voice and double checks how to pronounce wedding party names right before he introduces them which I thought was great. The price was right in our budget and I thought he did a great job!

Scott Hanna was wonderful to work with. My husband was extremely involved in this aspect of our wedding and wanted to make all the decisions on the music. However, he waited until the last minute to do so and put Scott under pressure to perform...and he did. Scott had no problem with my husband choosing a lot of the music, but set the expectation upfront and made agreements about how everything would be handled.

At all of our meetings, Scott was professional, reassuring and very informative about what we could expect. At the wedding he executed all of his promises. Our music was amazing, he ran the show without being cheesy or over-the-top and the sound was awesome. We got so many compliments about how great the reception and DJ were. He got our guests out onto the dance floor and kept them there.

We did have some trouble with email responsiveness, but only because of some technical difficulty and Scott responded right away to phone calls or voicemails. He was terrific to work with.

I would offer one suggestion, which would be to announce repeatedly some of the "special events/dances" that take place. Some of our guests (including parents) didn't realize when the cake cutting and special dances were happening, simply because they were talking and entertaining other guests. Repeated announcements a little louder may have helped with this. Other than that, the music, the dj and the whole "running of the show" was fantastic.

Fred Tyus was our DJ. He and American Entertainment were great. The planning tools on the website made it very easy.

But Freddie was awesome. He kept things moving. My bridal party...especially my husband's friend's were a little wild, so it was hard to get things done. Freddie kept a great attitude about it, and made it seem perfect to the guests.

I thought they did an excellent job. I worked with Tommy Rogers and Scott Hanna. It was simply awesome. The evening couldn't have been better. Everyone said they had a great time and complimented us on the DJ.

Scott Hanna was my dj. He was so easy to work with. We just put in a few songs we wanted to hear. The rest he did on his own. It was such a good time.

The music was great. But he was such a good MC as well. He always let us know when things were coming up. We needed to make some changes and he was very flexible about that.

I've been to some weddings where the DJ just wasn't very good. I am so glad I went with Scott and American Entertainment

My wedding went off without a hitch. Scott Hanna did a wonderful job we only picked out our special songs and maybe 5 random songs to play. He read our crowd beautiful, he played all the right songs, kept everyone dancing. Our family told us our DJ was very nice and polite. They also commented that the music was a appropriate sound level, you could hear the music everywhere but you didn't have to scream to talk to anyone at the tables. Everyone loved everything and we were very pleased. There was nothing else that you could have done better it was wonderful. We would definitely recommend them to everyone we talk to and that is alot of people because I work at a bakery and I talk to a lot of brides and I will recommend them to all that are still looking for a DJ.

Scott Hanna provided entertainment/DJ service for my wedding this past July. He was fantastic from beginning to end. We met in person once; I used his online planning forms to help with music selections for our first dance and father/daughter, mother/son, and the rest I left to him (which I felt very comfortable with). He kept the dance floor full all night (we still had about 35-40 (out of 100) people still at the reception at midnight for the last dance! He did a great job of keeping the evening moving along (toasts, cake cutting, dances,...we did an anniversary dance instead of bouquet/garter toss,...everything went smoothly. He was very professional, and did a wonderful job reading the crowd and playing music that kept them dancing all night (which was exactly what I wanted).

Scott was always available by phone, and quickly responded to emails whenever I had a question, about anything.

I highly recommend Scott Hanna with American Entertainment for weddings.

I know choosing a DJ who is ultimately responsible for the tone of the evening is a little nerve racking, but Scott has so many years of experience handled the evening beautifully. I've had lots of compliments from the wedding, and many of them were with regards to "the DJ".

We were very optimistic about your service after our discussions with Scott, unfortunately, we were VERY DISSAPOINTED in the service we received. I understand that accidents happen and Scott was not able to come to the wedding, but the replacement DJ was NOT a suitable substitute. (Read all the reviews, apparently Scott Hanna falls and breaks his shoulder monthly)

These are our complaints:

1. There was no lighting.

2. Despite filling out all the planning forms on the web site and selecting music from YOUR library, DJ did not have all the requested songs available and had to substitute songs of his choosing, not ours.

3. Despite multiple discussions about the type of music being played AND all the info given on the website, DJ played multiple songs off the “Do Not Play” list, almost nothing off the “Play if there is time” list and ignored requests to play the requested genre.

4. DJ did not MC the event at all!!!!!!!!! After the introduction of the bridal party, we had to ask him to introduce events, often repeatedly. DJ did not stick to the time line in the planning forms at all, leading to the many guests leaving early due to inactivity, even leaving before the cake was cut!!!

5. DJ seemed confused by all the forms he had printed from the website that outlined every detail of the event.

6. DJ spent more time talking on Instant Messenger than acting as MC.

While we are glad to recommend ALL of our other vendors to our friends getting married next summer, American Entertainment is, without question, on the DO NOT USE list.

I regret booking Scott Hanna's company, American Entertainment, for our wedding.

Scott told us he would DJ our wedding himself, but two weeks before our big day, he fell off of a roof and broke his shoulder, and he told us he could not do our wedding afterall. The replacement DJ was Scott's brother, Rob Hanna. Rob introduced me during the father-daughter dance as "Andrea." My name is Jessica, and that careless mistake was upsetting.

Rob also was under dressed for DJing wedding. Scott assured us our DJ would wear a tux or dark suit to the wedding, but Rob arrived in khakis, a tie, and a sport coat -- and he even took off the sport coat early in the night.

On the business side, leading up to the wedding, we had a difficult time getting Scott to return e-mails and phone calls, even before his medical emergency. That added to the pre-wedding stress.

For these and a host of other reasons, I would recommend strongly that brides and grooms book another company.

This DJ was great! So nice to work with through the entire process. He provided easy online planning and come the day of the wedding he led the show! I heard the songs I wanted to hear and he kept the reception moving nicely!

I was very disapointed in my DJ services. We submitted a song list to the Dj service online which is how they recieved the songs you would liked played at the wedding. We were then told that we didn't have enough songs and that he didn't know whta to play. We specifically told them we wanted most of the reception to have spanish music which we had on our song list and no rap. Also we asked to have low key music during dinner and party music at night. At the wedding , he still didn't know what to play even after we gave him our list. We, as well as other guests, had to keep telling him what to play because he didn't know what he was doing. I also got complaints that he was drunk and when I needed him he was barely at the DJ booth because he kept going to the bar. He also proceeded to dance with my guests and even joined the men to try and catch the garter belt! Extremely unprofessional. Would never, ever recommend to anyone. If you do consider this company please beware and make sure you don't get stuck with such a disasterous DJ!

I would not recommend this vendor to an enemy! They were absolutely awful! I called to tell the company how I felt after my wedding and they told me it was too bad and they would not do anything about it. The DJ at our wedding did not have the music we requested. The music could not be heard. He was terribly unprofessional. Do not use this vendor they are horrible!

They did a great job DJing our wedding reception. He was very professional and had everyone up dancing. The prices are very reasonable and the planning is done online so it is so easy to do.
