I went to Adrian Pierce because my matron of honor recommended them. They have a lovely selection of gowns and the sales people are super nice - not pushy, no pressure, really sweet. The prices there are great - they were much lower than some of the other shops on bridesmaids gowns. However, I ordered my wedding gown the first week of November - they said 6 months at the latest. The dress didn't come in untill late July (my wedding was in Sept.) There was no explanation and each time I called (which was alot towards the end) they had no idea who I was or what I was talking about. A friend of mine ordered a gown from the same designer in another shop and got it in 3 months. The lack of urgency was awful, and they didn't even seem upset that my gown was months overdue!

I am highly disappointed in the lack of service and quality I received, which is unfortunate since I specifically made the choice to drive 1 hour to purchase my dress from Adrian Pierce (instead from another authorized bridal dealer 5 minutes away from where I live.) I made the choice to purchase my dress from Adrian Pierce Couture due to the fact they continuously mentioned as a family business Adrian Pierce does business in what's best interest for the customer, which is the attitude they had UNTIL I paid for my items. Once Adrian Pierce Couture got their money, it was a night and day experience with this business! As according to their policy, I prepaid for all my items months in advance. I also bought in 5+ other prepaying customers into the store from my bridal party (totaling an additional $2,000 in sales for Adrian Pierce Couture). 2 months before my wedding when my gown came in, I found out the seamstress (who is a family member to Adrian Pierce Couture) was leaving for vacation to Europe and would not be back until 5 days before my wedding. This seamstress thought she would do the alterations from the 1st fitting as well as the 2nd and 3rd fitting within the 5 days before my wedding! When I declared this as completely unacceptable, and stated I intended to take my gown somewhere else to be altered, the customer service problems I had already been experiencing at Adrian Pierce Couture for months since I paid for my items became even worse. When I went to Adrian Pierce Couture to pick up my gown (as well the crinoline slip and veil which were already paid in full for). Upon having the items delivered to my dressing room, I stated to several employees of Adrian Pierce Couture the crinoline slip was NOT brand new. It did not have tags on it; it had a STAIN on it, and did not fit properly. While in the dressing room, the Adrian Pierce employees kept coming in to rush me along due the store being “overbooked” with alterations and bridal appointments. Since I was still inspecting the crinoline slip 15 minutes later asking the employees how they intended to correct this situation, the employees became angry I was taking up time in a dressing room and demanded to just put on the slip and they would “take care of it later”. The veil that was then presented to me was NOT the veil I ordered, which I verbalized when they handed it to me. After arguing for another 30 minutes on how the employees intended to correct the veil situation, Adrian Pierce, knowing I had a hair appointment for a trial style for the wedding WITH MY VEIL, told me to take the veil and that they would order the correct veil (and when the correct veil came in I could return this veil). Before leaving, I repeatedly asked for the CORRECT style number and price to be written down for me, to which it took the employees over an hour to look for and the employees still couldn't produce the information. The employees appeared like they were waiting for us to “give up” and leave since the employees knew I had the hair appointment I was already late for. I left frustrated, with Adrian Pierce Couture promising to order the correct veil and crinoline slip. When I got home after furthering inspecting the veil (the one that I did not order) I realized this item was not new either…as there is a decent size HOLE in it. I followed up calling multiple times with Adrian Pierce Couture to inquire did they order the correct veil and crinoline slip ( this is now 3 weeks before my wedding) and my calls were either not returned, or put on hold and hung up upon. Multiple times I requested a full refund for the crinoline slip and veil, stating I would gladly return the items since the items are clearly used (NOT new) and not the items that I ordered. Adrian Pierce refused to issue a refund and repeatedly ignored my calls. Over the months leading up to this, after paying in full for my items I left multiple voicemails requesting information and my calls were never returned. An additional point worth mentioning is that their receipts constantly change. The employees had provided me with at least 3 receipts with conflicting information regarding payments and orders numbers, etc. Over the months, I repeatedly attempted to obtain correct order information on receipts with an Adrian Pierce employee promising to get back to me over and over again with no reply.

The staff at Adrian Pierce was awesome. I had no problems with my dress or the girls. They were helpful and friendly.
