Initially we were excited to hire the Spotlight Band for our wedding. On the day of our wedding, we were very disappointed.

The band absolutely butchered our first dance song, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance songs. Our first dance was a Frank Sinatra song that was supposed to have a swing tempo. We didn't even recognize the song when they started playing it. Terrible. The father-daughter dance song was painful to listen to - the instruments were very off-key and the song was virtually unrecognizable.

The band failed to play numerous songs that we had requested well before the wedding.

The band did a poor job of playing music that was entertaining or fun to dance to. A lot of our guests left our reception early because the music was bad.

In the band's agreement, they mentioned that band members could be substituted for. Of course, the female singer that performed at our wedding was different than the singer we liked during their public performance.

We would not recommend this band to anyone. We wish we would have hired a DJ instead.

The Spotlight Dance and Variety Band was perfect for out wedding. Their list of songs they already knew was amazing and took my wife a long time to go through (I didn't know most of the songs so I wasn't much help). But the Band was also willing to learn any other new songs they didn't have on their list, which was great.

Their actual performance was outstanding and everyone at the wedding seemed to love it. They played a great variety of songs that we chose, and Matt did a good job MC'ing. We would definitely recommend them for your wedding/event.

We spent a lot of time researching bands, it was a big decision for us and we couldn't have been happier with the Spotlight band. Everyone had such a great time dancing to their music, they played the songs we asked for, and weren't cheesey at all. They worked with us on a lot of special requests and helped make our perfect wedding!!
