Allen was hands down one of the best vendors we worked with throughout the wedding process. He was always one step ahead of us and EXACTLY what we needed ... one less thing to worry about because we knew he had all the bases covered with every element of our reception. More than a DJ, he really helped to ensure that everything ran smoothly throughout the event and did a fantastic job of bringing all the pieces together (cocktail hour, toasts, food, dancing, cake-cutting, etc.). He also worked well with my vendors - photographer, videographer, wedding planners, etc. My fiance and I lovingly refered to him as Super DJ!!! You can really tell he takes pride in what he does which is why he treats each person & event as such a unique and special entity ... making him a remarkable vendor to work with. I would recommend him to anyone and will certainly use him again should I need a DJ.

From our very first conversation over the phone with Allen he was great. So much so that we actually booked his services before meeting him!
His communication and responses during the planning phase were quick and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. His services on the day of our wedding were wonderful - he really kept the day flowing through each event.
We definately made the right decision booking Allen for our wedding and would not hesitate in recommending him.

Allen truly defines professionalism. Our wedding was flawless with him guiding every step and maintaining positive flow throughout our special day. His wedding event knowledge is above and beyond what I expected. Allen has great communication before the event to make sure that every detail is covered and both he and the bridal party are on the same page. During the event, I didn't worry about music, because of all the preparation Allen completed before the event. I highly recommend Allen and his AAA DJ Service to anyone who wants to enjoy peace of mind during their most precious day. Thank you Allen!!!!

Allen is a great DJ/host who knows what he's doing!
He has great experience, and knows how to set "moods" with music.
Even if its not music related, if you have any questions about the reception,
just ask him and he will help you out.
He may be a bit more expensive then average DJ's but there is a reason
why...
If you want to be worry-free, go with Allen

Allen with AAA DJ Services is truly outstanding! We would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Not only does he DJ, he also MC's and helps the entire event run smoothly. He goes to great lengths to determine what you need and what you want. He is always accessible and available and when the actual day comes he is so prepared and professional, that you just sit back and relax, knowing that he has it all covered. He really is an A++++++++++!!!!

We just got married earlier this month at La Venta and could not be more pleased with Allen's services! We loved Allen from our initial meeting- he's professional and very knowledgeable about what it takes to create a successful wedding party, and he came highly recommended by our venue. Allen is extremely professional- he responds very quickly to emails and searched everywhere and found our first dance and parent dance songs. During the wedding, he kept the flow going, knew when to play what type of music for the mood, and his voice is awesome. Thanks Allen for making our wedding wonderful!

Allen did a fantastic job of helping us plan and prepare for our wedding reception in Irvine which was all the more impressive due to the fact that we were planning our wedding remotely from Colorado. The process was simple for us, and Allen did a great job of selecting music fitting to both our tastes and the tastes of our guests. He kept in touch with us throughout our wedding planning process and took care of all the behind the scenes work involved with coordinating with the hotel that we had the reception at. We'd definitely recommend Allen after seeing firsthand how well he took care of our wedding reception!

Allen was a great DJ. The guests loved him and the music he played. I was very specific about what I wanted played at the wedding...I had a long list. Maybe I'm a control freak. Not all the songs I demanded to be played were played and there was some Jimmy Buffet when I specifically asked that there not be any JB, but whatever, the guests loved him and the music and I guess at the end of the day, that's all that really matters. My husband thought he was awesome too. There was a wide variety of music from several generations and styles of music.
Allen is more than JUST a DJ, he's an all around coordinator. He pays attention to the smallest details and works hand in hand with the wedding coordinator to make sure that day went smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing with Allen. He kept the day on track, hunted down family members for speeches, announcements, cake cutting, whatever you need. I mean the man is ON TOP OF IT! I would highly recommend Allen for a classy event any and everyday.

We just got married a month ago and used Allen as our DJ. Allen was AWESOME!!!!!!!! Let us just tell you how pleased we were with him and why. Allen was very professional from the start. It was obvious he had done this a thousand times. We had numerous calls with him where he got a feel for how we wanted our wedding to flow, what kind of songs we wanted played, how much he should be speaking, etc. We didn?t have a wedding planner so he helped create a detailed timeline of the entire evening - from what time the ceremony starts, to what time the best man toast is, to what time the cake cutting is, etc. This was extremely helpful to us as we obviously didn?t know what we were doing!!
On the day of the event, Allen arrived early and got all 3 locations set up (ceremony area, cocktail area, and reception area) in plenty of time. Plus we got LED lighting done by him ? which was a great decision to do so because it made the ambience so much more romantic. It is well worth the nominal amount he charges ? we definitely recommend it! As the event started, Allen became the captain of the ship. He kept everything moving and on time. He frequently informed us when the next item on the agenda was coming up and what we had to do. He also has a great voice ? seriously though ? this is very important when you have someone making announcements of various things throughout the night. Allen played great music too ? the dance floor was filled throughout the evening. Our guests ranged in age but he played a good variety so that everyone was enjoying themselves.
We were extremely happy with Allen and everything he did. There was not one thing we weren?t happy with or had to worry about ? at all. Allen was our favorite vendor amongst all our great vendors. He put us at ease and gave us extreme piece of mind throughout entire event and planning process. Thank you, Allen, for being a part of our special day and doing such a wonderful job!!

HE SAID/SHE SAID FROM THE HUSBAND: Allen was simply incredible. We hired a DJ, but he pretty much leant himself as a coordinator, usher, bouncer, and even a wedding planner. Extremely professional and courteous, and very versatile, and I haven't even talked about the music yet! Considering our eclectic group of guests, I must say that Allen's choice of songs throughout the night was THE reason why EVERYONE had such a great time. He got my fiancee's grandfather, who by no means is familiar to Western-style weddings, to improvise tai-chi exercises on the dance floor; he got toddlers to boogie-down, bachelors and bachelorettes to shake that thing, all the while working his magic to get people to actually enjoy my favorite music: the humdrum sounds of the 80's/90's. If I ever get married again, he would be my first choice. I strongly recommend you to consider no one else but Allen.
FROM THE WIFE: As my husband said above, Allen goes above and very far beyond his duties as a DJ. Within 5 minutes of my first phone conversation with him, I knew that we would be hiring him. He is incredibly organized, readily available, and quick to respond. He anticipates the things you do not, ahead of time, and is so skilled at what he does, that he gives incredible advice in regards to the night's timeline and flow of events. He worked in my music requests at the perfect moments, kept the night flowing smoothly, and made sure people were having an amazing time. I felt like we were well taken care of and throughout the planning process, never gave a second thought to our hiring choice. Allen also provided us with LED uplighting for a VERY reasonable price, and a projector for the slideshow. These are all just bonus rentals that he offers to his clients. He was always on time (regardless of by phone or in person) and well prepared for any question or request I threw at him. He's a class act without a hint of cheesiness. I recommend Allen to everyone without reservation. You won't regret it...

Allen was a great DJ/MC. From the first day we met him, for our consultation, we were confident of his abilities and really liked his philosophy of gauging the crowd rather than just playing a song list. Even though we found a vendor offering services for over $100 less, we decided to book with Allen. And now that our wedding is over, we can definitely say it was well worth it! He took care of the reception timeline, discussed all details and aspects with us, and made sure everything went according to schedule, and the way we wanted it! I even had a coworker comment that it was one of the most smoothly run receptions she?s been to in a long time. Allen is friendly, always responds to your calls and emails, professional, and I would highly recommend him.

Allen was amazing!!! My Husband and I knew right from the moment we met with him, which is why we put a deposit down before we drove away from his house. We hadn't even met with other DJ's, we just knew he wouldn't let us down.
His consultation was very organized and informative. He was well spoken and on top of his game. He was through, compassionate, and really took the time to get to know my husband and I.
We thought we would have had to change the start of the wedding b/c of a hotel error, and thankfully didn't - but Allen all along put us first and made sure he would have things up and running stress free.
He knew exactly how to be the entertainment of the wedding, he took our requests seriously and had a plethora of music to choose from. He had everyone dancing!!!!
I would highly recommend Allen Layton for your wedding entertainment.

Very easy to work with. Allen was extremely organized and professional. He worked with us in choosing the music for the wedding by providing us with many options to choose from. He also planned the itinerary in terms of what would happen and in what order (first dance, introduction of the wedding party, best man/maid of honor speeches, etc.). Would recommend him highly.
