Nation's Leading Wedding Site Announces WeddingWire Rated™
Updated rating program now awards badges based on increased number of reviews
Chevy Chase, MD – August 8, 2013 – WeddingWire, the nation’s leading site for wedding reviews, is thrilled to unveil an updated WeddingWire Rated™ program for the wedding industry. The annual ratings program rewards wedding professionals for their commitment to exceptional service and has quickly become the most recognized and trusted brand among engaged couples. WeddingWire now provides instant access to badges that celebrate wedding professionals’ growing number of reviews. The ratings program is based on over a million recent newlywed reviews of over 200,000 wedding professionals in the US and Canada, across more than 20 service categories, from wedding venues to wedding photographers.
The revamped WeddingWire Rated™ badges will distinguish wedding professionals on an ongoing basis as they collect more feedback from their clients. Eligible WeddingWire members will earn immediate access to an updated badge once they’ve gained 3 (blue), 10 (bronze), 25 (silver), 50 (gold), and 100 (black) reviews. Once a wedding professional receives 100 or more reviews, the final badge will transform to black, indicating that the business has joined an elite group who not only excelled in continuously providing outstanding service but who will also receive additional benefits within their WeddingWire account. Along with each badge, WeddingWire will provide a suite of marketing tools to help Rated business owners showcase their impressive accomplishments.
The new dynamic badges will automatically update and display the current number of reviews allowing engaged couples to view a businesses status wherever the badge is placed. Any wedding professional with an average rating of 3.5 or higher is qualified to participate in the new WeddingWire Rated™ program.
"With the growing importance of online reviews, WeddingWire is pleased to celebrate the successes of wedding professionals who have received positive reviews on WeddingWire,” said Sonny Ganguly, Chief Marketing Officer, WeddingWire. “The updates to the WeddingWire Rated™ program will empower wedding professionals to showcase their Rated™ badges throughout the year as they increase from the blue badge all the way through black. WeddingWire Rated™ serves as a guide for engaged couples to further illustrate the business’ commitment to providing exceptional service.”
WeddingWire is the largest, most comprehensive and trusted review system in the wedding industry. Through the WeddingWire Network, engaged couples have access to these newlywed reviews on the leading wedding sites, including WeddingWire.com, MarthaStewartWeddings.com, Brides.com, ProjectWedding.com and WeddingBee.com. Additionally, WeddingWire is the only industry site that formally processes each review, which must meet strict approval guidelines in order to be included in the WeddingWire RatedT™ program. WeddingWire only allows reviews to be submitted by real newlyweds who used the services of that particular wedding professional.
“My clients have said reading newlywed reviews were invaluable while searching for their vendors,” said Kelli Noel of Kelli Noel Weddings in Denver, Colorado. “Reviews provide them with educated insight into achieving their dream wedding and with the WeddingWire Rated™ program, they can identify professionals who have established a high quantity and quality of reviews. This is my business’ go-to resource.”
WeddingWire Rated ™ is a free program that offers wedding professionals an easy way to differentiate their business among peers in their region and category. The new badge system will further highlight their success as their business continues to grow their online reputation and get closer to reaching the 100 review level.
