We had our engagement photos taken by Kyler, and the experience was fantastic. Neither my fiancé nor I had ever had professional photos done before, so we were worried we wouldn't know what we were doing and we'd feel awkward, especially with people around. However, Kyler made the whole process easy and enjoyable. He found an amazing, secluded spot and was excellent at drawing out authentic reactions and poses. Every shot was guided skillfully, and his professionalism was evident throughout. We had a great time and are thrilled with the photos. Would highly recommend!

We found Kai Photo thru our engagement/wedding ring shop. Kyler first took our engagement photos, and we were quite impressed so we booked him for our April wedding photography and videography, including same-day edit video. Kyler was very easy to work with throughout the entire process; he was actually one of the first of our vendors that we started communicating with. He takes the time from the beginning to get to know you and what your vision is. He also helped guide us through a lot of our planning process because he has so much wedding expertise; he was almost like a bonus coordinator! Kyler was also very responsive to all of my correspondence the entire time (note some vendors don't start replying promptly until your date gets closer), which I thought was very professional and helped with answering questions and moving the process along. He and his team made sure to capture everything we wanted, plus more! We and all of our guests were also very impressed by the same-day edit video played at our reception; many folks commented afterward on how awesome it turned out and they could not believe it was put together so quickly! The final gallery of photos and full video will take time for any photographer/videographer, but Kyler gave us some "sneak peek" photos the day after our wedding, which were fun to look at and share with our family/friends dying to see pictures. My overall experience with Kyler and his team was exceptional from start to finish. Kyler and his team were professional, attentive, and took a genuine interest to ensure memories from my wedding were captured for my wife and I.

Kyler was very responsible to my messages and did his best with is experience to help us in planning my wife's and I's wedding. On the day of the wedding Kyler and his team were punctual, attentive, and easy to work with throughout the entire event. After the wedding communication was open with Kyler and his team in regards to the processing of the photos.

3. Creativity and Style
I choose Kai-Photo because I like the style of photography Kyler and his team produces. Kyler and his team do their best to capture moments in their most natural, candid, moments. They blended into the background and seamlessly moved throughout the event and venue. For set photos they knew how to bring out the best in a photo, the fact that they could keep my nephew's attention for photo's is a clear indication of their skill in their trade.

4. Punctuality and Time Management

They were punctual and very attentive to the schedule set-forth by my planner. They were incredibly efficient and any extra time was used to capture great moments. At no point did we feel any sort of stress when it came to the photography of my wife and I's wedding.

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the final photo's. Every image taken that was sharp, well-lit, and perfectly capture the emotions of each moment.

Kyler and his team made us feel completely at each, giving guidance without making anything feel staged. Even our guests commented on how well the felt during the group photos.

The photo delivery was timely, and the online gallery was easy to use. Kyler and his team stuck to their projected schedule for when we would receive our photos.

I would highly recommend Kai-Photo to any couple looking for a wedding photographer, Engagement photos, or even off-site family photo's. They captured my wife's and I's day perfectly and were great people to work with.

Kyler is awesome!! We first met him at Ko'olau Ballroom's wedding expo and he was really nice and very knowledgeable. We did both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures with him, so it was nice to get to know him before the big day. My husband and I were worried about our pictures being too "posed" but Kyler was able to make our pictures look very organic and natural and they came out beautifully. He has a very calm presence which helped put us at ease. This was great to have on a day as busy and stressful as our wedding day! What was also great was that he was very familiar with our venue and knew the best places to go to take pictures during our cocktail hour. He is so efficient and thorough and we were able to finish pictures a little early so we could enjoy some down time before the reception started. Highly recommend him and his team!! Kyler was so great to work with. I am personally not a big photo person and I get nervous in front of the camera and he totally made me and everyone else involved feel so comfortable and included. It was an effortless experience on our end and we could not have asked for more on our wedding day! 😍

Kyler at Kai-Photo Hawaii was great to work with! He offered us the options we needed, showed up on time as promised, took great photos and we very inconspicuous - which is just what you want in a wedding photographer. We barely noticed he was there, but took great shots including shots of the wedding party and guests... The end result: we got awesome, edited photos within a week or so and that will leave us with memories we will cherish for years to come! We worked with Kyler in 2019 for our engagement photos after our family recommended him. We absolutely loved all of our photos and working with Kyler was such an easy and enjoyable process, that we were so excited to work with again for our wedding.

Due to Covid-19, we had to postpone our wedding from October 2020 to October 2021. Throughout the two years that we have worked with Kyler, he has been nothing but professional, personable, extremely responsive, and always willing to answer our questions and offer his expertise when we need it.

Words can't express how much we have enjoyed working with Kyler and how wonderful he is. He traveled from Oahu to the Big Island for our wedding and arrived on time and ready to go. He was so great with directing all of us for pictures, whether it was myself, my bridesmaids, or any of the guys. He was also so great with our 5 year old flower girl and ring bearer. I know that it can sometimes be challenging to engage young kids in photos, but Kyler knew exactly how to engage and interact with them during the photos that they were included in. Overall Kyler made the entire day and all photography so enjoyable and effortless for us, and I think it really shows through on our photos.

We absolutely LOVE all of our photos and could not have asked for anyone or anything better! Kyler is very detail orientated and made sure to take the time to help us pose, direct us, or remind us to fix our hair or leis when needed. He was extremely attentive and was open to all of the things we wanted to do/incorporate into our wedding photos, such as going back to the same beach where we did our engagement photos to get a few in our wedding attire. He even helped us redo our photography timeline about a month out from the wedding, and we can't thank him enough. It turned out to be everything and more than we could have hoped for.

Kyler is wonderful and I recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a photographer, whether it's for an engagement, wedding, or even a family photoshoot! His work is amazing, he is kind and so easy to work with, and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed

Kyler was beyond amazing to work with. Whether it be his professionalism, his eye for detail, his flexibility, or his candor, he was truly one-of-a-kind. I don't believe any other wedding photographer has an eye that matches his acute attention to minutia. He consistently provided excellent ideas for couples' photos, family photos, and entourage photos. The angles and lighting that he utilized for scenery and background photography was exquisite. Even when a situation presented itself as less than ideal (rain/drizzle, wondering wildlife, rambunctious children), Kyler knew how to take all of those elements and embed them into a picturesque moment that told a completely inspirational story.

From the moment we booked him, Kyler constantly stayed in contact with us. He allowed for an open communication channel so that we were well prepared for our special day. When the time of our wedding came to be, he offered reassuring guidance and provided nothing but the utmost comfort when it came time to capturing those most intimate of moments. I can honestly say in hindsight that I would have preferred nobody else for my ceremony.
