Erin and Erik's Wedding

   We met through our mutual friend, Mandy. Erik met her through mutual friends and ended up being one of her house-mates for a little over a year. Erin and Mandy were friends from college, both graduating from Southwestern University at the same time. We all hung out socially several times, but it wasn’t until Mandy was moving to San Francisco the summer of 2005 that everything fell into place for us. Erin had already volunteered to help Mandy drive to California; Erik decided to go along last minute (primarily so he could get to know Erin better). Over the four days of the road trip, a spark developed. Two weeks after getting back from the road trip, we went out on our first date. After two years of driving back and forth between San Antonio (where Erin lived) and Austin (where Erik lived), Erin moved up to Austin to be closer to Erik and start pursuing graduate school. Six months later, Erik proposed and the rest is history!
