Elliott and Becca's Wedding

Welcome to Elliott Garber and Becca Green's wedding website! We're glad you're here, and that we can share with you the start of our lives together.

We met in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at a lunch with friends after church in April 2008. Becca was visiting Boston for the weekend to see if she wanted to live and work there as a nurse after she graduated from the University of Virginia. Elliott was back in Boston for that weekend only while spending a year abroad completing veterinary research fellowships in India and Mozambique. Over lunch, we began to learn about all that we had in common: we both graduated from UVA, both had parents and family living in northern Virginia, both had lived in India, both had studied at the Swiss L'Abri, and both thought that the other was incredibly attractive. Becca stood up from that lunch and wondered if she would marry this guy. Elliott actually prayed that it might come to be!

Becca moved to Boston in August of that year at about the same time Elliott was returning to the States for his 4th year of veterinary school. After another church lunch and more mutually fascinating discoveries of shared experiences and passions, Elliott suddenly started showing up at every social event that Becca attended. In early September, he asked her out to a little concert in Harvard Square. Later that month, he reached out and held her hand for the first time, making it all very official.

And now, a year and a bit later, we're gettin' married!
