About

Creative Imagery was born from our love and passion for photography.  We designed it as a husband and wife team - two professional photographers, two extraordinary views, one incredible day!

Our photography is the perfect blend of today’s unobtrusive photojournalistic style and yesterday’s classic elegance.  We believe by focusing on both the bride and groom, your photos should tell the story of your special day - capturing all emotion, fun and love to be shared by all.

Our ultimate goal is to combine your vision and our style
to create memories to last you a lifetime!

As a catering venue for 20 years I have had the opportunity to work with many photographers, the Creative Imagery team is one of the most professional in the business. They are prompt, non-intrusive and a welcome to the wedding business. Sandy @ Garfield's Giardino Ristorante

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you identify your primary photographic style?
We like to describe it as Portraitjournalistic. We combine a pefect blend of formal poses with candids. Formals are no more than 30 minutes after the ceremony. The rest of the day is all documentary.
Please describe any special techniques you offer:
Of course we offer color, b&w, sepia and b&w enhanced with color.
Which lighting situations do you have experience with?
We have dealt with many forms of lighting from softlight, candlelight, overcast, haze, and of course dim light using no flash.
Do you have a media preference?
We love both film and digital but our preference for weddings is definitely digital. We're able to offer our clients so much more by shooting digitally.
How many photographers do you work with?
There is only the two of us, a husband and wife team. One focuses on the bride while the other focuses on the groom. We believe the day is important to both the bride & groom.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes! You do not need to worry about that.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
We will sometimes book two events on one weekend i.e. a friday and a sunday wedding. However, we will never book more than one event on the same day. It is your day, it belongs to you!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
Yes, we have a network of photographers who have the same quality and style of photography that in case of an emergency we can call upon.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Between the two of us, we bring 4 complete camera sets. This includes: 4 DSLRs (Nikon D200s), 8 lenses, 4 flash units, lightspheres, over 20 gigs of memory, etc. We come prepared for any situation.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, 4 complete camera sets.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
We offer packages, which are broken down by hours. If a package is not necessary you can build your own with hrs and ala carte items.
If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime?
Usually if overtime was required it would be an additional $200 per hour.
Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
Yes, a meal is included in our contract. We usually work 8-10 hrs and do require that the venue supply us a meal. We usually eat while your guests eat so nothing important will get missed.
How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?
Just the one dinner break. With having two photographers, other than the dinner break, there is always coverage.
Do you charge for travel?
We include 60 miles (one way) for travel. Anything over 60 miles would be $1.00 per mile.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Anywhere from 4-8 weeks the photographs are completed and online to view. They are not proofs but enhanced, finished prints. Depending how many weddings are in front of yours, it may be sooner.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
The prints are viewable online, you also have the option of receiving all the finished prints plus a photo CD.
How long can the couple keep the proofs?
The prints are yours to keep! With the rights to reproduce them! We believe it is your wedding so you should have all the memories.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, however we release the reproduction rights to you for personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, We have been on the cover of the News Journal "Celebration" Issue many times so you never know if you will end up on the cover.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
Yes, You receive all the prints (in high resolution) on a photo CD. This is a large format so you would end up with approx 2-3 CDs.
Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes, all the images will be available online for viewing. There is no time limit for you to view your gallery.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We over engraved albums which hold just the 4x6 prints, tradional elegant renaissance albums with prints & mats, we also offer the most popular custom designed coffee table books!
When will I get the final book?
Well, that would depend on you. How fast you can choose which prints you would like to have in the extra albums.
How long does it take to deliver a book?
For the basic engraved album that holds 4x6 prints could take up to 8 weeks (during the busy wedding season). For the renaissance albums and the coffee table albums, once you choose your photos for it and it is designed it can take an additional 4 weeks for printing and binding of the books.

Tips and Advice

A few tips for selecting a wedding photographer.

1. Experience...ask to see a complete wedding.  We all have our favorite prints that we select for our galleries.  It is important to see how the entire day flowed and what your album might look like.

2. Professional...Ensure that your photographer is licensed and insured, so you are protected!

3. Value!  Make sure you are getting value and quality for your money!

4. Personality...You have to be comfortable with your photographer. Otherwise, it will show in your photos. Meet with your photographer, make sure you click with each other.  Having your pictures taken is a very intimate experience.

I hope you found these tips helpful - feel free to ask us for advice. Getting married should be an exciting time in your life...not stressful.  You can contact us through our website - www.creativeimagery.org
