Chief Executive Officer
Timothy founded WeddingWire after planning his wedding. As a groom, he experienced first hand how difficult it was
to execute on the wedding plans. As a technologist, he couldn't find an online resource that would help him plan more
efficiently. Together with his cofounders, Jeff, Lee, and Sonny, they threw 4 desks into his empty living room in Chevy
Chase, Maryland and WeddingWire was born. They set out to utilize their collective experience in technology to build
a technology company that would revolutionize the wedding and event industry.
Previously, Timothy co-founded Blackboard Inc. in 1998. While at Blackboard, Timothy pioneered many of
Blackboard's product and strategic initiatives, helping the company grow to over 600 employees and a valuation of
over $750 Million.
Timothy holds a B.S. degree in Operations Research/Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and a Master's
of Science degree in Engineering Management from Tufts University. Tim is a member of the Young Professionals
Organization in Washington, D.C.
Chief Operating Officer
Lee has served as WeddingWire's Chief Operating Officer since 2006 and is responsible for overseeing business
operations and driving revenue growth and retention strategies. Prior to joining WeddingWire, Lee held the post of
Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Parature Inc., a software-as-a-service company in the customer support and
service industry. At Parature, Lee led the efforts to evangelize and convert the commercial industry to adopt cloud
based software solutions. Preceding Parature, Lee co-founded Blackboard Inc. (formerly Nasdaq: BBBB) in 1998
which was sold to Providence Equity Partners for $1.64B in 2011. While at Blackboard, Lee served a variety of roles
including Director of Sales and Regional Director for the Asia Pacific and Latin America business operations.
Lee holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Engineering in Operations Research/
Finance from Cornell University.
Chief Technology Officer
As WeddingWire's Chief Technology Officer, Jeff leads the design and implementation of WeddingWire's technology
platform. Prior to joining WeddingWire, Jeff was involved in developing new analytical finance platforms that
managed Fannie Mae's $150+ billion mortgage and securities portfolio. Jeff was also part of the initial rollout of
the AT&T Wireless mLife Project to over 20 million subscribers, as well as part of the core technology team that
developed MicroStrategy's personal alerting network called Strategy.com.
Jeff holds a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech and an M.B.A. degree from The George

Sonny leads WeddingWire's B2C/B2B marketing strategy, customer acquisition, and community
development. Today, WeddingWire is the leading marketplace connecting consumers with
event merchants, with an audience of over 40 million visitors each month across its network.
In addition, Sonny is a widely acclaimed speaker, giving over 50 presentations across the
globe each year on technology, marketing and strategy. Prior to joining WeddingWire, Sonny
was in a management program at Wal-Mart where he led marketing, sales, and retail strategy
development. Before this experience, Sonny spent four years at Kraft Foods where he managed
numerous consumer brands, including the JELL-O business with P&L responsibility for over
Sonny holds a B.A. in Economics with a focus in Management and Marketing from The
University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he served as
President of the Marketing Club. Sonny is a founding member of NextGen Angels and an active
member of the CMO Club, where he was awarded as a CMO Rising Star.
Andrew Olek is responsible for WeddingWire's legal affairs, as the company's General
Counsel. Prior to Joining WeddingWire, Andy was the principal assistant to the General
Counsel of Merkle Inc., where he helped the legal team significantly expand its capabilities.
Before this, he served as a Senior Counsel at Blackboard Inc., helping the company grow from
$136 to $377 Million in annual revenues. Before holding these in-house positions, Andy was
an attorney in the Corporate and Intellectual Property departments of the law firm Fried, Frank,
Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLC. Previously, Andy served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the
Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with distinction, from the U.S. Naval Academy, a
Master of the Arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Master of Science in
Information Technology degree from the University of Maryland University College, and a Juris
Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a registered patent attorney.
Jenny is the Vice President of the People Department at WeddingWire, which includes Facility Operations, Corporate
Culture Events, and Human Resources. Prior to joining WeddingWire, Jenny was an HR Consultant assisting small
businesses with best practice and compliance issues. Before her consultancies, Jenny served as the Director of
Administration at Vocus Inc. (Nasdaq: VOCS), managing the Human Resources function. In this role, she managed
the full life cycle of employment, assisted with their IPO and international expansion, and enhanced their innovative
and creative corporate culture. Prior to Vocus, Jenny worked at Blackboard (Nasdaq:BBBB) as the International HR
and Benefits Manager, where she assisted in the establishment of their unique start-up corporate culture, launched
their full employee benefit package, and assisted with their IPO and international expansion.
Jenny holds a B.S. degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Business from Lander University and a PHR
Certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Vice President of Marketing
Bill Cronin is Vice President of Marketing at WeddingWire. He leads the development and
implementation of the business-to-business marketing strategy, including customer acquisition
and community development. Bill was formerly the VP of Marketing for USA TODAY
where he relaunched the brand across platforms including print, digital, mobile and social.
Previously, he was at MasterCard Worldwide for 12 years, most recently as Vice
President of Merchant Marketing. Bill was also the Vice President of Brand
Marketing for MasterCard Europe from 2004 to 2007, serving as a member of the region's
Senior Management Team based in London during MasterCard's transition to a publicly
traded company. From 1999 to 2004 as Director of Global Advertising and Vice President of
Global Brand Building, he led the global roll-out of the highly successful "Priceless" advertising
campaign across Europe and Asia. He also managed the integrated marketing plans for
MasterCard's global sponsorships, including the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cup.
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Bill is a member of the Dartmouth Men's Soccer Advisory Board.
Vice President of Operations
Marty Kaufman is WeddingWire's Vice President of Operations. He currently leads efforts to
increase WeddingWire's organizational performance and maximize operating efficiency. Prior
to joining WeddingWire, he held several roles as a strategy and management consultant,
program director, and corporate educator. In his work, he has managed strategy alignment, process
simplification, data analysis, and human capital planning. This diverse experience helps him lead
efforts to develop the upcoming generation of leaders and managers that will navigate WeddingWire's
next phase of growth and transformation.
Marty holds a B.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Miami University and a M.Ed.
in Human Resource Development from Vanderbilt University. His education also includes
certifications in Strategic Workforce Planning, Strategic Foresight, and Project Management.
Vice President of Data Science
Matthias Kretschmer leads WeddingWire's team of data scientists as the Vice President of Data Science.
Prior to joining WeddingWire, from 2005-2012 he advised Fortune 500 clients on strategy and pricing
at The Taylor Research & Consulting Group. He also held previous roles as a Research Director of
Advanced Analytics at Roy Morgan International in Melbourne, Australia and ad tracker at ZMG Zeitungs
Marketing Gesellschaft in Frankfurt, Germany.
Matthais holds a Ph.D. in Political Science (Mass Communication, Survey Research and Comparative Politics)
and a M.A. in Survey Research, both from the University of Connecticut.
