You can get married on a wednesday if you wanted to, nothing wrong with that. I got married on a Friday, for many reasons including the fact that it made a difference in price. In the end its what you want not what everyone else thinks.

When it comes to picking a date to get married on, there are several factors that go into picking a date, such as time of year (check), location (check), and special meaning (check). It sounds like you have found your ideal date, but have some lingering doubts. Getting married on a Friday has some advantages and disadvantages, so you will have to think about those before committing to the date. While it will be cheaper to marry on a Friday, will it be a hassle for you, your FI, your families, or your guests? If you cannot get the perfect date, pick one close to it and in the future celebrate your anniversary on the special date as opposed to the actual date you got married. In my case, our 3-year anniversary will be on September 7th, but we are getting married on the 6th because it gives us a better schedule and will allow more of our guests to attend, but we will celebrate our wedding anniversary on the 7th. I hope this helps!

Tak a deep breath and get married on the date you want to. Everyday people get married at the courthouse, in Las Vegas, it doesn't matter what the day or date is....It is your wedding, get married when you want. Blessings. Rev Sandy, Maryland

I think the major things have been covered.
1. Marrying on Friday can be cheaper (depending on your ceremony/reception site-some places include Friday in their weekend prices)
2. Your date is special. (This is sweet)
3. This can be a strain for some guests to attend, but with proper planning you can make it a family blending weekend. Have something for people to do and then you can do a bon voyage on Saturday or Sunday.
So basically you can do what you guys think is good for you. YOu will never be able to please everyone--so please yourself. This sounds selfish, but its true. Hope this helps.

Get married on the day that works for you if a person really wants to be there they will find a way to be. Just make sure they get enough notice to get there. My husband and I got married on the day after Thanksgiving we just went to the judges house with a couple friends and got married. If that's the date that has the special meaning for you that's the day it should be besides Fridays are sometimes easier than other days of the week to get off work.
