Place card etiquette
Is it inappropriate to name the whole family on one place card? For Example: Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Family Table #____. Or is it more appropriate for each guest to have their own individual place card? I plan on placing the place cards in a photo frame didn't think it was necessary for one family to have multiple frames. The frames will not be used as my favors.

I think it would be ok, I sort of did that. I don't think they would raise hell over it. So if your comfortable with it go for it, the hell with etiquette!! Besides it would save you some money, anything to save money is only a plus right?

It's perfectly fine to do that since you are seating entire families at tables.
Now if you're seating multiple families at tables you need multiple frames for each family group.
Hope that helped.
Good Luck!

I think the frame idea is great. The only question is are you giving food choices? like beef or chicken? If you are your hall will really apperciate place cards, because it is easier to get people the right meals, if you are not doing choices do the frame it is a really nice idea try to find some nice vintage ones, that will look really sharp.
