Does the grooms parents pay for the rehearsal dinner?
My mother n law to be asked me for a list of my wedding party for the rehearsal dinner and I was a little confused b/c I thought that was something me and my finance was supposed to take care of... I checked the wedding book of etiquette and didn't find the answer...Does anyone happen to know the answer?

Tradition does state that the grooms pay for the rehearsal. She is right on for asking that. Typically the couple would cover the rehearsal if both sides were contributing to the wedding.
Good Luck!

As usual, I agree with working brides! The Groom's family traditionally takes on the rehearsal dinner. Exceptions would be if the bride and groom are paying for their own wedding, then they often take care of the rehearsal dinner, as well. If she's offering, I would take her up on it! (Unless she's a strings-attached kind of person, then perhaps not.)

Traditionally it is the grooms parents that pay for the rehearsal dinner.
