Lauren and Austen were married at The White Room in St. Augustine, Fla. on May 25. “It was a beautiful day from start to finish with so many wonderful little details,” Cameron Austin said of Alex & Cammy Photography. “We started the day with Lauren getting ready at St. Augustine’s historic Bella Bay Inn, which is conveniently located right next to The White Room. Often times the morning of a wedding can be hectic, but she was calm and relaxed. We also headed over to the Coasa Monica for some photos of Austen, who was the rare groom who actually had his own ideas for poses and locations for pictures of him and his groomsmen. which was refreshing and a lot of fun.” The bride wore a lace fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown with capped sleeves and an illusion back, accessorized with her hair in an updo, floor-length veil, and a pair of Kate Spade bow peep toe slingbacks, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with a bow tie. Bridesmaids wore short two-toned dresses and carried bouquets of garden roses, peonies, orchids, and pincushions. “The ceremony was short and sweet and very touching,” she said. It took place inside the exposed brick loft overlooking the waterfront views of Matanzas River. “The reception set up was gorgeous with beautiful flowers and a bicycle built for two theme,” Austin said. Tables were decorated with white linens, box centerpieces, and koozies at each place setting, which also served double-duty as favors. “They ended the night with a romantic last dance with the space all to themselves, and then rushed downstairs for a sparkler send off,” she said. “Lauren and Austen were so kind and gracious to us throughout the day, and we had a great time. We wish them nothing but the best!”

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The rooftop, which was open and airy for the wedding ceremony and dancing portion of the reception, sold us on The White Room. It was absolutely the most ideal location for a wedding party of 80.  Everyone stayed and danced even past the 11 p.m. deadline.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

1. Photographer

2. Wedding dress

3. Dance party reception

3. Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

Our wedding ceremony exit is something we will all always remember.  Once our officiant officially announced us as husband and wife, we danced to “The Good Life,” by Kanye West on our exit down the aisle.  It was totally unexpected by our audience, since our ceremony was so sentimental and sweet. However, it fit our personalities and following the exit, everyone switched gears and was ready for the dance reception to begin.
