Stefanie and Trevor were married at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, Calif. on January 18 — exactly five years after they first met! “It was really important to us to have an indoor and outdoor option since we were getting married during winter, and the weather would be unpredictable,” Stefanie said. “We got lucky, and it ended up being 80 degrees.” The bride wore a strapless sweetheart fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with her hair in an updo, fingertip-length veil, and a pair of satin high heels, while the groom wore a gray suit, accessorized with a matching tie and pocket square. Bridesmaids wore short pale blue chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, anemones, silver brunia balls, and dusty millers. The ceremony took place in the Oval Terrace overlooking a pond. “It was the most favorite part of our big day,” she said. “Our good friend and brother-in-law was officiated and performed it. He shared such a special time with us and wrote the most beautiful words that was funny, thoughtful, and exactly what my now-husband and I wanted.” Afterwards, the reception followed in the ballroom. Guests found their seats via escort cards hanging from clothespins. Tables were decorated with white linens, lantern centerpieces, and mercury glass votive candles, surrounded by silver chiavari chairs. “When I walked through the venue all decorated, I almost started to cry,” Stefanie said. “It could not have been more perfect. My vision and ideas I had been planning for all finally came to life!” Plus dinner, a four-tiered buttercream-frosted cake was cut and served for dessert. “Our DJ was absolutely amazing and did a fantastic job of orchestrating the dance floor component without being overbearing.” The newlyweds’ best advice? “Stay true to yourselves and what you want as a couple for your wedding,” she said. “There will be many people that give you opinions leading up to and on.”

Lindsay and Timothy were married in a traditional Roman Catholic ceremony at Saint Mary of the Annunciation followed by a tented reception at The Island House in Charleston, S.C. on October 12. These two fell in love while attending Clemson University (Fun fact: they were dorm neighbors), and even though they now live in Chicago, they wanted to say, “I do” where it all began. Lindsay wore a form-fitting mermaid wedding gown, while her bridesmaids wore silver dresses in different styles. Groomsmen were more than happy to pose with sunglasses in their gray three-piece suits. The reception was oh-so-romantic decorated with white linens, ivory and blush flowers, and lanterns. Guests enjoyed Southern fare, including a raw bar, shrimp and grits, and a signature cocktail, and the night wasn’t complete without a group picture of all the college alumni!

Veronica and Doyin were married in downtown Annapolis, Md. with harbor views of the Chesapeake Bay on March 2. The bride wore a Cinderella ball gown, accessorized with a jeweled embellishments, a black faux fur stole, and a vibrant bouquet of ruby red ranunculuses and garden roses, while bridesmaids wore long luminescent silver taffeta dresses, accessorized with bouquets of white ranunculuses and blush garden roses. You won’t believe Doyin’s facial expression as Veronica walks down the aisle of the church! Priceless. The reception was decorated with hundreds of floating candles to create a romantic ambience with blue uplighting, and family and friends were surprised at the end of the night when the newlyweds changed into traditional Nigerian attire.

Jamie & Justin

October 5

Dove Canyon, California

From the Photographer: “Jamie and Justin wed at the very-private Dove Canyon Country Club, nestled in the hills near Orange County’s Santa Ana Mountains—and one thing is certain about this couple’s future: Their children will have gorgeous eyes. And possibly an affinity for the Anaheim Ducks, as well as hard-core partying, because before their grand exit under a shower of sparklers waved by guests, this wedding brought the house down on the dance floor! Dissatisfied with traditional bridesmaid dresses, Jamie opted to dress her bridesmaids in silver sequins and soft pink folds, and tied in the rest of the wedding design using similar hints of pink in places such as cake embellishments, sparkly lettering on the soles of her shoes, and the ceremony seating sign. Justin put his own touch on the affair, as well: he is a photographer, and set up an open-air photobooth capture some of the revelry as the night wore on.” – Luminaire Images
