Stefanie and Trevor were married at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, Calif. on January 18 — exactly five years after they first met! “It was really important to us to have an indoor and outdoor option since we were getting married during winter, and the weather would be unpredictable,” Stefanie said. “We got lucky, and it ended up being 80 degrees.” The bride wore a strapless sweetheart fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with her hair in an updo, fingertip-length veil, and a pair of satin high heels, while the groom wore a gray suit, accessorized with a matching tie and pocket square. Bridesmaids wore short pale blue chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, anemones, silver brunia balls, and dusty millers. The ceremony took place in the Oval Terrace overlooking a pond. “It was the most favorite part of our big day,” she said. “Our good friend and brother-in-law was officiated and performed it. He shared such a special time with us and wrote the most beautiful words that was funny, thoughtful, and exactly what my now-husband and I wanted.” Afterwards, the reception followed in the ballroom. Guests found their seats via escort cards hanging from clothespins. Tables were decorated with white linens, lantern centerpieces, and mercury glass votive candles, surrounded by silver chiavari chairs. “When I walked through the venue all decorated, I almost started to cry,” Stefanie said. “It could not have been more perfect. My vision and ideas I had been planning for all finally came to life!” Plus dinner, a four-tiered buttercream-frosted cake was cut and served for dessert. “Our DJ was absolutely amazing and did a fantastic job of orchestrating the dance floor component without being overbearing.” The newlyweds’ best advice? “Stay true to yourselves and what you want as a couple for your wedding,” she said. “There will be many people that give you opinions leading up to and on.”

Amy and Scott were married at Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada on August 24. “The outdoor location for the ceremony is what sold us on our venue,” Amy said. “All of the lush green combined with the beautiful ocean backdrop was exactly what we had envisioned for our ceremony.” She wore a light pink ruffled mermaid wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. She accessorized with a studded sash and carried a bouquet of roses and mums. Her bridesmaids donned light gray strapless chiffon dresses with sweetheart necklines too, their bouquets were the same as the bride’s. The groom and his ‘men wore three-piece suits and accessorized with silver neckties and pink pocket squares. The reception featured long banquet tables and chairs wrapped in pretty bows, fun games, a candy buffet, and delicious square-layered cake for guests to enjoy. The bride’s favorite detail? “Having all of our friends and family in one spot and dancing the night away with all of our favorite people!” she said.

Seaside, Modern Wedding in New Jersey

Atlantic City, New Jersey

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The view was amazing and we loved the fact that we were next to the ocean but were not outside in the heat. The tall glass windows throughout the entire venue made the place absolutely breathtaking especially at night.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

1. Our cake topper that we had especially made to look like us from Etsy.

2. The mini polaroid camera for guests to take pictures of themselves and replace after removing their place card from our frame with hanging lace and clothespins.

3. The photo booth: we loved the props and photo album we received with all the pictures.

3. Give us the one moment in your wedding day that you can’t stop thinking about.

Michael’s little sister sang, “Marry me” by Train right before we said our vows during the ceremony. It was such a beautiful moment and put into words what we were feeling at that second before we were to become husband and wife.
