Q & A with the Bride:
1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
When we first started dating, my first birthday present to Chad was a trip to Paso Robles to go wine tasting. We’ve been coming back to visit a few times each year ever since, so it felt just right to pick a venue in this beautiful area. We searched for dog-friendly venues online, and Hammersky was the first one we saw. It was love at first sight. We couldn’t have found a more magical place.
2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?
1. The Irish wedding bell bracelets that everyone wore to ring in our marriage and reflect Chad’s Irish heritage.
2. Since I’m German, we did a traditional cutting of the heart. My best friend handmade the heart, and it was so fun to cut it as the first task we had to complete as a married couple and have our family and friends there cheering us on
3. Having every one of our guests be a part of our day. Some created the bouquet and boutonnieres, some helped decorate, Chad’s best friend was our officiant. It just brought it all full circle.
3. Give us the one moment in your wedding you can’t stop thinking about.
We are so happy we did the first look. The moment of first seeing each other away from everyone was just so special, and it gave us time to calm down and connect before the ceremony and really remember it. Going down the aisle, I was a crying fool and barely remember it, but the first look moment is unforgettable.

Ah autumn–the crisp air, rich colors and delicious flavors are just a few reasons why we love this season– and if you’re planning a fall wedding, we’re sure you’ll agree it’s the best! But how do you create festive favors without turning your wedding into a Halloween party? Like this:
1. Spreads – Seasonal spreads are delicious, so thank your guests with apple or maple butter for a “sweet” take-home gift. The jar casing is also convenient to carry and looks great stacked up on display. Just tie bows of twine around them and voila– fall, rustic chic!

When picking out desserts for your dessert table, consider the season ripe with fresh produce from May to late September. Here are five mouthwatering ways to serve them:
1. Mixed Berries Chiffon Cake – From strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and cherries, they all have one thing in common — they’re rich in antioxidants.
2. Homemade Peach Cobbler – In order to select the perfect Georgia peaches for your pies, look for firmness and a lack of blemishes (wrinkles or bruising). You’ll know they’re ripe by the smell alone.
3. Raspberry Lemon Cupcakes – Ask your baker to add a splash of citrusy lemon to the cupcake batter. It just might boost your guests’ electrolytes to keep them dancing all night long.
4. Ice Cream – As long as you can keep it frozen, your guests will love feeling refreshed after eating this ice “cream” cold treat. Provide toppings such as: crushed oreos or pistachios, rainbow sprinkles and shredded coconut. Don’t forget the syrups!
5. Banana Pudding – Spice up traditional vanilla pudding with layers of wafers and sliced bananas in a glass shooter.

Instead of wearing white, some brides will wear a colored wedding gown. Instead of having the flower girl or ring bearer throw petals or hold a pillow, some brides choose creative items for them to carry. Instead of having a wedding, some couples decide to elope. What other tradition can a bride test the limits of? No cake! Here are our top surprising desserts that are in while three-tiered confections are on their way out:
Macarons: If you’re looking for endless possibilities of flavor at your dessert table, incorporate these French sweets. Just to name a few, you can choose between flavors such as s’mores, dark chocolate ganache, cotton candy, orange creamsicle or pistachio.
Cake Balls: First, came cupcakes. Second, came cake pops. Third, came cake balls. Of course, third time’s a charm, right? Well, cake balls are merely cake pops without a stick, and you most likely will not have the willpower to eat just one.
Mason Jar Cupcakes: Imagine a cake that is prepared, and even baked, inside the mason jar they are eaten from. All your guests need is a utensil, which means easy cleanup! Add gift tags or labels with your names and wedding date, and you have favors to pass out to your guests at the end of the night.
Mini Pies: Perfect for any rustic or ranch wedding, mini pies will make your guests feel right at home.
Donuts: Forget the candy bar and have a donut bar. Provide take home boxes, and guests will have breakfast for the morning after!
