Caroline and Braden were married at the Distillery’s Fermenting Cellar in Ontario on July 12. The 7,500 square foot industrial chic space featured timber beams and trusses as well as original limestone walls, which were uplit with purple. The bride walked down the aisle wearing a sweetheart ruffled ball gown, accessorized with a jewel-embellished belt and hairpin against her loose curls whereas the groom wore classic black suit with a patterned tie. The ceremony was decorated with tree branches in urns and dangling crystals, and the reception was decorated with lots of candles in tall votives. Think gliz and glamour with a bit of Persian influence. Drummers played during their entrance and dancers performed during their exit. How fun!

Caitlin & Jeff

September 8

Ontario, Canada

From the Photographer:

“I was very excited to shoot Caitlin and Jeff’s wedding knowing that it was going to be just a little different than the traditional. We eagerly arrived early afternoon at the family farm, and we knew immediately we were in for a treat from how calm everyone was, even the dogs, who greeted us. The ceremony was held on the front lawn – the location held a special place in the couple’s hearts. Caitlin and Jeff arrived at the outdoor reception in a candy red vintage ford. By then, the clouds had lifted, guests mingled amongst the hand-picked and crafted vintage decor and the tent was glowing with garden lights, colorful bunting,  hay bails, and eclectic seating at each table.

There was a certain magic in the air that evening that I can’t really describe, you could feel the love. It was  like we were attending a long overdue family reunion more than a wedding and thats the way Caitlin and Jeff wanted it. Guests were treated to a superb meal from a local catering company buffet with an build your own appetizer burrito station, to endless gourmet salads and corn on the cob to top it off. It seemed like the buffets went on forever.  A homemade pie station ended the perfect meal.

After dinner, everyone’s hearts filled up with touching speeches (I think the photographers even cried!), we saw people hugging, smiling, and lots of watery eyes.  A little fire pit outside kept people cozy while everyone danced without any hesitation. You could hear the laughter and guests singing out loud until it was time for us to wrap up and head home. We ended the night with one last shot – the bride and groom in a bohemian tent under the stars. Everything was perfect.” – Clint Russell of Renaissance Studios Photography

Ainsley & Chad

July 2011

From the Photographer: “I would like to introduce you to Ainsley & Chad who were married in Chad’s family’s cozy backyard in Waterdown, Ontario on July 2, 2011. They were joined in marriage in front of 30 of their nearest and dearest friends and family at the beginning of Ontario’s summer heat wave. Ainsley is a DIY goddess and kept the thread of teal running through every aspect of the wedding. From Chad’s shirt to the placecards to the “getaway” car, every detail was purposefully and lovingly created. This budget friendly event was classy, tastefully organized and decorated, and had such an intimate and relaxed feel. The onsite caterer bbq’ed everything fresh and the meal was delicious. The reception took place on the family’s back deck which was lined with two long tables.”-Patti Miller Photography

Jacynthe and Jeff

June 2011

Niagra on the Lake, Ontario

From the Photographer: “An intimate and beautiful wedding celebrating the love Jeff & Jacynthe shared. These two came from Alberta as Jacynthe’s family is from close by. Marrying in a church in St Catharines they immediately followed the ceremony with a private lunch for their guests at Ravine Vineyard winery. Once lunch and family photos were completed we travelled together all around Niagara on the Lake to take photos until it was time to head back to the gorgeous Prince of Wales hotel for their dinner celebration in the Three Feathers Room.” –Amanda Lachapelle Photography
