Five Fabulous Looks by Pnina Tornai

Posted by Bridal Market on Oct 18, 2011

Everyone knows the Pnina Tornai (sold exclusively at Kleinfeld Bridal) show is going to be a jaw dropper. The gowns are embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls the size of golf balls and the word sexy barely describes thm. Here are five show stoppers from the collection:

Pearls: Tornai wrote on the run of show that this collection was inspired by pearls. This white Alencon lace halter dress features a pearl necklace that flatters both the neckline and back.

Mother of Pearl: In addition to embellishing her gowns with pearls Tornai also created this more understated look with them and designed a Mother of Pearl bolero. Paired with an ivory taffeta spaghetti strap V-neck gown with asymmetrical tiered skirt is a chic bolero made from dozens of Mother of Pearl circles.

Slinky is Also Sexy: Not all of the gowns in the 2012 collection are pouffy. There were two silk charmeuse dresses with Swarovski crystal embellishments. They both featured the embellishments under the empire waist and the one on the left also had Swarovski crystals around the neck. Both had extremely low backs, as in if they went any lower…

The Fit: I once asked a sales associate at Kleinfeld why Pnina Tornai was one of their best selling collections and she said, “It’s the fit.” The corsetry is designed so well that no matter what your figure you’ll look and feel fabulous. And as for the sheer corsets, she told me they can add a liner.

Two in One: Save your money on a second reception dress by buying this two-in-one design. This ivory pearl encrusted one-shoulder mini dress has a detachable silk taffeta skirt.
